Regular clamp for your expensive gear
This is a very concrete and well built clamp. It takes four full turns to fully open/close the jaw, so it's not the quickest, but it is boulder solid and I trust it with my camera and my precious EF100mm f4L IS. The clamp is used on my macro rail trap...

This bracket is easily as good as the $79 One I own
This bracket is the perfect example of getting much more than you pay for. I had never heard of this company, I must admit. But I will tell you that from the moment I took it out of the box, the fad screamed " quality". It has a nice weight, feels super smooth, has a very good finish, a large handle and just the right amount of texture on the handle to enable friendly turning. Perfect!! I love this!

Peerless product. Highly recommended.
If you already have a turbulent quality ballhead and tripod, and you don't want to buy an expensive Gimbal head, this is the way to go. The adapter is extremely well made and is packed and light weight. Just make sure that your equipment meets the weight requirements of the adapter. I've been using it for several weeks with my EOS 50D and 400 mm DO lens. It works like a delight.

Very Impressed
Notion that coming from a cheaper manufacturer that these arca swiss imitations would be sub-standard. NOT TRUE!! I attached this clip easily to my Giottos MH 1000 ballhead and i could not be more satisfied. The clamp is very smooth but with no slack or womanize in its operation. The small thumbscrew adjusts the clamping force which is rock solid with their homologous L-Bracket. When fully open the L-Bracket easily drops in and there is no need to slide it in obliquely. I like the safety lock on the QR clamp handle that is a joy to operate because of how smooth it works. I cleaned off the gummy grease that it came with and re-lubricated with spray silicone to keep dust to a minimum. The onboard straight seems accurate and works far better that the sluggish ones i had on my previous Giottos QR clamp. All in all an A-one buy for those that see no need to spend >$100 on these types of accessories.
Property is good, but functionally useless
This is a nicely made fastener for the price. Trouble is, there is only 1mm difference between open and closed. This is bad for several reasons. First and foremost, you cannot possibly cast off your plate into this clamp, which means you cannot use any safety stops on your plate, which means your camera/lens will be in true danger of sliding out and to the ground if the clamp is not tight. Second, if you choose to live in the fleet lane and not use safety stops, then all of your plates need to be EXACTLY the same size. I have several arca-compatible clamps from distinct manufacturers such as Kirk, etc., and though they are close in their tolerances, they are not exact. So unless you don't mind adjusting the lever tautness for every plate you own, stay away from this clamp...

Orderly plate with affordable price!
I was cautious to buy this product. I bought Generation 4 before to use with my 500/2.8 and I also have RRS plate. I love them. When I saw this product and its price, I upstanding wanted to give it a try (for my Nikon 300/2.8 VR). From the product info, I'm supposed to buy LP-115 for that lens. I memory I ordered the wrong one, but actually this LP-100 fits perfectly with Nikon 300/2.8 VR foot. I even intend it would be a little too long for LP-115. Anyway, the quality of the product is great. It does not look cheapo as I would look forward. It comes with everything needed. However, one thing that I can notice, it's a little bit heavier than RRS at the same size. But it's subtle though. If you scantiness to save some $$, this is it.

Well-intended lens plate
If you penury a lens plate with anti-twist tabs, the entire RI LP-nnn series works in actuality well. And the price is really right.One nice feature is the slot for the mounting screw comes to within 1/2" of the anti-pleach tab. I have a couple of small footprint spotting scopes (and some mini clamps) that need this diminutive distance to engage the tab. On some competing lens plates, the slot stops too far away from the tab, representation the anti-twist feature useless.I also find the centerline 1/4" accessory hole comes in on for all kinds of ad hoc mounting applications (e.g. mini-clamp to make a nodal slide or macro denounce, mini-ballhead for outboard mic, etc.). I have competing lens plates that lack this depression, and I quickly come to miss it.As for compatibility, I own dozens of Arca-Swiss style plates and clamps from seven several manufacturers (including Arca-Swiss). Works, but gives a slight
Does the job in the end, but I noticed that the apprehension isn't as tight with a Monoball Z1 Flip-lock quick release mechanism as arca-swiss brand plates. There is a undersized slide forward and backward when I use this with a Sony 70-400mm G lens and tripod collar. I don't conceive of it will completely slide off, but it makes me nervous about using the plate in the long term, and I will perhaps replace this plate with an Arca-Swiss brand plate.

Made my focusing baluster into quick release
I got a for a song focusing rail from Adorama. The rail works fine but requires removing my timely release plate from the camera so I can screw it into the focusing rail. Once you're used to quick set free, that becomes very annoying. I put a plate on the bottom of the rain and this on top, so I can keep the plate on the camera. I hope this makes sense. It works, though it bonus fifty bucks to the cost of the rail. I had an extra plate for the bottom.Anyway, this clamp is well machined and varnished. It holds the camera securely, and the level allows me to use the focusing rail for panoramas. The expenditure is very good when you compare it to brand names. I have a , and a Kirk plate, so I'm used to quality. I don't sensation this is a compromise at all.

I put this on my Vanguard SBH-300 ballhead and I tenderness it! I also bought the Sunwayfoto DPL-02 L-Plate and it's a perfect combination! I would recommend this to anyone!
