DescriptionARCA-SWISS monoball Z Stronger, lighter A ruler of tripod head design for over 40 years, ARCA-SWISS is setting new standards revisiting their B-series models and introducing the Z-Series, justified as elegant, and even more perfect. The size and weight of the ball heads have been significantly reduced. The pill and fastening are now assembled using a patented bayonet mount. Various accessories can thus be promptly mounted to adapt the tripod as required. In addition to the proven, patented Arca-Swiss features, including aspherical shot heads, axial clamping and PMF (progressive motion related friction control), the Z-Series also boasts new specialized developments and optimized materials and coatings. The new series can withstand an incredible 60 kg (122 lbs) off-hinge. Z-Series heads are available as Version Z SP (single pan) and Version Z DP (double pan). The monoball Z DP with its b panning mechanism below the camera mount keeps the camera perfectly vertical to the swinging skim, for perfect panoramic stitching of multiple images.Customer ReviewsFriendship it!I've had two heads in the good old days. The first was the basic head that came on a cheap tripod that I got when I was a teenager and was really meant to be used with a video camera. The next period around (about 15 years ago) I purchased a Bogen 3021 tripod and what I thought would be a very flexible (how can you go fail with a name like that). The tripod was great and the head was incredibly flexible for setting up for a shot and prepossessing the picture. However, it was not great for shooting anything moving, because It wasn't easy to track things with the devise of the head and it tended to move a bit or settle while tightening it in position. Years afterwards I started reading about tripod heads and specifically tablet heads. After taking a year to decide I bought this one, which I've now owned... The greatest head in the world Na irreplaceable item for anybody with large (and heavy) telephoto lenses. Once set it does not move, bent...stays solid. Excellent product

That's more than enough acumen to support a pro-DSLR and a substantial lens.It features a drag knob to make the bit head move more slowly when the main ball head knob is loosened. If you have it tight enough you can loosen the main shot head knob and adjust the camera without it flopping. The smallest knob controls the panorama emphasize - twisting the ball head on the tripod without adjusting the tilt of the camera. It has marking so you can adjust it using degrees. The pipe ball head knob is for controlling the pitch of the camera, including setting the camera in image mode. This ball head has one cut-out so you can set the camera in portrait mode. The set comes with a arca-swiss plate that can be mounted on your camera or on your lens cut. Did a lot of research between Dolica, Manfrotto, Vangaurd ballheads, on type and in stores. I had already purchased the Benro A-198EX tripod after a lot of research on the same tripods from the companies mentioned. I chose the Benro tripod even though there were no reviews for it yet & did not see it in any stores, it was a bit of a commit to memory of faith, but based on the feature set & specs I ordered it. (Benro site has more info than amazon) After receiving it and seeing how well the tripod was made as well as how it operated etc, I had no obstreperous w/choosing the Benro head as well (it had no reviews either). The head is smooth as silk through all its movements. The panning is great if needed, although w/the tripod it also has panning means & it is very smooth and can be adjusted to be as stiff or loose as needed. One reason among others for choosing the Benro over others is that the authentic ball is machined metal... A Okay Ballhead It was in want of a decent ball head and tripod so I went with this Benro 0 ballhead and it has proved to be a excellent buying. It's not too expensive and the quality is evident the moment I used it. I use it with a Manfrotto carbon fiber tripod and it makes for a cordial lightweight support system. Highly recommended. Supports my gimbal head This is an tickety-boo, affordable ballhead that supports my gimbal head and Canon 300mm f/4L IS setup. This worked for me; hence, a 5 of 5 rating.
