    Superior product. Highly recommended.
If you already have a exuberant quality ballhead and tripod, and you don't want to buy an expensive Gimbal head, this is the way to go. The adapter is extremely well made and is compressed and light weight. Just make sure that your equipment meets the weight requirements of the adapter. I've been using it for several weeks with my EOS 50D and 400 mm DO lens. It works like a draw successfully.

    Satisfactory Value
This is the cheapest QR mount I could find, and it turns out to be solidly constructed and holds my camera securely. I have no reservations about recommending this to others.
Potent clamp for your expensive gear
This is a very blank and well built clamp. It takes four full turns to fully open/close the jaw, so it's not the quickest, but it is scarp solid and I trust it with my camera and my precious EF100mm f4L IS. The clamp is used on my macro rail snare...
This brace is easily as good as the $79 One I own
This fasten together is the perfect example of getting much more than you pay for. I had never heard of this company, I must admit. But I will tell you that from the moment I took it out of the box, the point screamed " quality". It has a nice weight, feels super smooth, has a very gentlemanly finish, a large handle and just the right amount of texture on the handle to enable suggestible turning. Perfect!! I love this!

Unqualified for what it is supposed to do
Purchaser Video Review Length:: 9:16 MinsThe quality of the materials is wonderfull, i dream the ballhead would be so-so but actually it outperforms the tripod. The ballhead can handle the 11 pounds this combo claims but the tripod doenst at some angles/positions. The most conspicuous is to UNDERSTAND that if you buy this combo it doesnt mean that it will replace your regular (big) tripod. This tripod works wonderfull if you "hug" something with the legs. It also works skilful for macro... as you can check in my video. This tripod would have save me a lot of time asking strangers to take pictures of me and my girlfriend while traveling in Paris and Brussels. In my video you can see how it handles a Nikon D90 + Battery-operated Grip with 2 batteries + 18-200mm VRII + SB600 flash. I also tested it with a heavier D300 + 70-300mm VR + SB600 shimmer. I am impressed with how this combo was able to keep everything thight hanging from a door and a tree section. I...
    Amazing tripod for SLR cameras
Chap Video Review Length:: 0:40 MinsThe gorillapod foucs is a great tripod for slr P's with large zoom lens. I use a and have a attached to it. Even with the lens fully extended the camera doesn't waver or drop down. The tripod is also very light weight which makes it ideal for travel. The only CON of the product is that the legs are a bit punitive and makes it a bit hard to wrap the legs around an structure. If you can live with that this is the best travel tripod for slr users
Lastly, a Gorillapod that will hold up my camera - usually
Gorillapods are large, but you need one thats one-model stiffer than what Joby says. For example, get this one if you have a D300, and dont demand it to hold it up very well with a 600mm/2.8 lens on it. But it will hold it up with medium size lenses. My before one, one model down, was not strong enough for me to be comfortable putting a D300 on with anything heavier than the 18-200 mounted. Even-handed be careful - its easy to dump your camera with this thing if you're not.

    Serious First Step Up
I upgraded to the Induro BHD2 Ballhead from the Manfrotto Reins Head Manfrotto 322RC2 Joystick Head Short and am very pleased with the switch, so I'll list the few pros and cons between the two. The vital pro (and the reason I switched) is that the Induro head supports a heavier load with no creep or sagging. I can put my 5D Chip II with a large lens like the 70-200 securely. This was my only gripe with the Manfrotto Joystick, if you put a huge lens on it in portrait mode the Manfrotto just doesn't hold up and starts...
An But for the fact that Value!
I got this head to restore my Manfrotto 322RC2 grip head, which I did not like at all. I'm pleased to say that this Induro head has met all of my expectations. The separate wheel for panning, drag, and lock are all excellent. The drag control allows you to adjust it to fitting the right point for smooth movement, then you simply turn and lock it down with the large stud. I found no sagging or creeping with my Canon 40D, grip, two batteries, and a 300mm f/4 lens mounted all together. Innards is smooth and silky. Compared to the Markins Q3, this head is a great value, at nearly $150 less than the Markins. The Induro even brings an Arca Swiis manner camera plate, something the other manufacturers make you order separately, and at upwards of $60 in summation to the head. Do yourselves a favor and get the Induro instead. Forget the Markins, Arca Swiss, Gitzo, and all the other extremely high priced heads out there. This Induro does the job, and then some.
    WOW - Now THAT's a ballmount !!
At first, I dream I'd have to buy the largest size (the Induro BHD3)to get something substantial/good as the reallyrightstuff or other brands - all of which seemed far more expensive to me. I've been a manufacturing operator for twenty two years, and I know what it costs to make things... enough to know that a rock-weighty ball-head should not cost more than $250... even if made in the USA. I've owned Manfrottos mounts - they're great, and they have a cold brook that can only mean thick cast metal. And although this mount is light, and obviously made of sheet metal (i.e. the 2" shot is hollow) the grip is absolutely firm... you cannot move the camera period !!. Also - the slight smaller base diameter fits perfectly on a full-size tripod... it looks like it was reasonable meant to be exactly there.

    Gain Stuff!
May have been a x-mas propinquitous, couldn't wait. have the thing on my monopod. Have already used the set up with my D200 Nikon and Tamron 18-270mm. Got some pics of the moon, righteous not the ones that i wanted. I was going for the eclipse but i think i was too early. I'll try again some other time. The Sirui G-20 Ballhead worked precisely. I ordered this ballhead because i wanted to be sure it could hold my camera and Sigma 150-500mm lens. I have not tried that claque yet, but I'm sure it will be just fine. I would recommend this product to a friend. And as usual, there was no problem buying on-arrange for at Amazon.
    SO FAR SO Use
The ballhead looks staunch and well done. I tried it with my Caono 7D and Canon L 24 - 105 lens and so far so good. Both are heavy and I needed a ballhead that would profession and keep them firmly secured at the same time. I chose this ballhead as it was not as expensive as the other more popular makes on the retail and looked as good as the others. I also checked other reviews and decided to give this new company a try. I have not used it outside my proficient in yet. It did come with a carry pouch which I am not using as was able to leave it attached to the tripod, smae butter up a see, inside the bag it came with. I am not a pro photographer, just studying and taking photos for my kennel and friends. I will update this procession in the future and let you know if it is as good as it looks and feels.
