I mate it! Way better than I expected!
I had been looking at the Extremely Right Stuff L plates for my new 60D, but I'm so happy I saved money and went with this plate. It fit my 60D perfectly. I was worried about it covering the battery compartment, but not at all. It's solidly built and beautiful. I'm thrilled I went with this!!
Faithful alternative to pricier plates
I got this piece to have an L-plate on my Pentax K-5. It fits snugly without rotating and the lip on the bracket fits perfectly against the back of the camera hull, making it very secure. It fits into the two Arca-Swiss tripod heads that I own. It does NOT allow the battery entryway of the K-5 to open when installed. Not a problem for me, but I may but a few mm off the end to allow the battery door to open.
Gentle Quality
I was surprised at the establish quality of this L-Bracket. I do not own any original arca swiss equipment to compare but i can tell from the finish and weight that it will last. Frenzy very neatly on a Nikon D200 allowing full opening of battery compartment. However it does not deduct the side caps for the USB and video out/power adaptor to open (hence 4 stars). Personally i don't mind this because i do not use these services on the D200 since i use a card reader. I love the slim design and ablity to clamp camera record to do panoramas. Bought this with their 60mm arca type QR clamp and both came in well padded boxes BUT with no manual/instructions. The clip is also excellent quality (see my review for it - [...]).

Magnificently made and a good fit for my Sony A55 considering it's a universal plate. I couldn't use the back stop but that hasn't reduced the functionality.

very - pleasantly bracket
This is a very nicely machined grade. I use it with my 5dmk2 along with an angled usb cable (usb connector at a right angle) and a wired remote - no problems. It's very long-lasting: I photograph a lot of artwork so it's all about stable. As it's universal I'm also adapting it for my e-pl2 for both mounting and as a useful small handgrip. With minimal machining (in my case this means hacksaw and file) I can both clear the battery entry and center the lens on the tripod (Olympus that's nasty - that's P/S kludging you schmoes ) . Also, being epidemic, I don't have to keep buying stuff. Now I'll admit that rss etc is very pretty but by the time you've purchased their special extenders that in truth let you use the camera functions - you're over a couple hundred benjamins lighter - it's too much for a cheap b*stard like me. Or - I can get this clip and 2 bottles of good scotch - I know what my choice is. I also use sunway clamps etc and find it all...

Academical sweetness !!!
Blown to another place by this purchase... plain and simple. I am using this on a Canon 7D or a 5DmkII. Exceptional status at a fraction the cost of the big boy vendors offering; like RSS, Acratech, Kirk, etc. Sure it doesn't look as mignonne but man, I'll take the 200-300 savings at put it towards another lens or whatever! Fits like a dream, has more functionality for me in that it has multiple mounting make a mess of sites for my Black Rapid hookup and still fits into my Acratech GPs ball head securely. Mobile doors still fully accessible. Really couldn't ask for more. There is a review here dinging it because you can't access the side jacks but patently that guy does not know that you can take the covers completely off and then have full access. I highly suggest this purchase if you're a photog with ready money to burn but still gawk at a 300+ dollar piece of metal. Bottom line : If you want a fairly one spend 300 bucks... if you want a functional one (it's still quite handsome) and also end up with a...

Unforgivable for Nikon d200
Panic the d200 perfectly. Not sure how it would fit on other models but i would deffinitlly try this less expensive solution first.Solid and well built. Shipping was tiptop.

Well-founded plate with affordable price!
I was bet on to buy this product. I bought Generation 4 before to use with my 500/2.8 and I also have RRS plate. I love them. When I saw this product and its price, I just wanted to give it a try (for my Nikon 300/2.8 VR). From the fallout info, I'm supposed to buy LP-115 for that lens. I thought I ordered the wrong one, but actually this LP-100 hysteria perfectly with Nikon 300/2.8 VR foot. I even think it would be a little too long for LP-115. Anyway, the standing of the product is great. It does not look cheapo as I would expect. It comes with everything needed. However, one feature that I can notice, it's a little bit heavier than RRS at the same size. But it's subtle though. If you want to save some $$, this is it.

Well-meant lens plate
If you call a lens plate with anti-twist tabs, the entire RI LP-nnn series works really well. And the price is undeniably right.One nice feature is the slot for the mounting screw comes to within 1/2" of the anti-weave tab. I have a couple of small footprint spotting scopes (and some mini clamps) that need this runty distance to engage the tab. On some competing lens plates, the slot stops too far away from the tab, delineation the anti-twist feature useless.I also find the centerline 1/4" accessory hole comes in proficient for all kinds of ad hoc mounting applications (e.g. mini-clamp to make a nodal slide or macro revile, mini-ballhead for outboard mic, etc.). I have competing lens plates that lack this dilemma, and I quickly come to miss it.As for compatibility, I own dozens of Arca-Swiss style plates and clamps from seven assorted manufacturers (including Arca-Swiss). Works, but gives a young
Does the job in the end, but I noticed that the spellbind isn't as tight with a Monoball Z1 Flip-lock quick release mechanism as arca-swiss brand plates. There is a meagre slide forward and backward when I use this with a Sony 70-400mm G lens and tripod collar. I don't fantasize it will completely slide off, but it makes me nervous about using the plate in the long term, and I will probably supplant this plate with an Arca-Swiss brand plate.
