Comparatively fair value.
I can't credence in I paid fifty-two dollars for a Wimberley lens plate. Maybe the Wimberley is marginally nicer, but this Fotopro lens plate appears to be entirely up to the task. Good grade machining and anodization. Some people may think the price for the Fotopro itself is high for a machined theme of aluminum (really, it is), but having gotten inured to what photographic equipment costs, this is, comparatively, a authentic value.
Very kindly value for money
Got this platter as a less expensive alternative to use on my Sirui head. Fits perfectly. However, it needs a tool (a conceive for example) to attach to the lens/camera tightly. The Sirui plate does not for anything but it is almost twice the price. Attached it to my Sigma 70-200 lens collar and will leave it there interminably...so the need for a coin to attach/detach from the collar is no longer an issue for me.

Very Impressed
Anticipation that coming from a cheaper manufacturer that these arca swiss imitations would be sub-standard. NOT TRUE!! I attached this clamp certainly to my Giottos MH 1000 ballhead and i could not be more satisfied. The clamp is very smooth but with no slack or play in its operation. The inconsequential thumbscrew adjusts the clamping force which is rock solid with their matching L-Bracket. When fully exhibit the L-Bracket easily drops in and there is no need to slide it in sideways. I like the safety clasp on the QR clamp handle that is a joy to operate because of how smooth it works. I cleaned off the sticky grease that it came with and re-lubricated with strew silicone to keep dust to a minimum. The onboard level seems accurate and works far better that the sluggish ones i had on my above Giottos QR clamp. All in all an excellent buy for those that see no need to spend >$100 on these types of accessories.
Nobility is good, but functionally useless
This is a nicely made clamp for the toll. Trouble is, there is only 1mm difference between open and closed. This is bad for several reasons. First and foremost, you cannot possibly drop your cut into this clamp, which means you cannot use any safety stops on your plate, which means your camera/lens will be in constant threat of sliding out and to the ground if the clamp is not tight. Second, if you choose to live in the fast lane and not use refuge stops, then all of your plates need to be EXACTLY the same size. I have several arca-compatible clamps from different manufacturers such as Kirk, etc., and though they are closely guarded in their tolerances, they are not exact. So unless you don't mind adjusting the lever tension for every plate you own, halt away from this clamp...

I bought this for my In fact Right Stuff tripod head. I didn't want to spend the big bucks on another patronage L bracket. This plate works fine and is permanently attached to my other camera.
