Fotopro PL70 PL-70 70mm QR Lens Plate Quick Release Arca Swiss Compatible
Details
DescriptionFotopro® type PL-70 : Arca-Swiss compatible QR plate. Dual dovetail design. Dual Backstops. 70mm (2.75") sustained. 1 x 1/4"-20 screws (screw has both flat head screwdriver slot & 4mm hex socket). All metal (aluminum). Includes 2 3mm hex cover screws on the underside.Customer ReviewsComparatively respectable value.I can't put faith I paid fifty-two dollars for a Wimberley lens plate. Maybe the Wimberley is slightly nicer, but this Fotopro lens plate appears to be utterly up to the task. Good quality machining and anodization. Some people may think the price for the Fotopro itself is ear-splitting for a machined piece of aluminum (really, it is), but having gotten inured to what photographic paraphernalia costs, this is, comparatively, a good value. Very special-occasion value for money Got this plate as a less up-market alternative to use on my Sirui head. Fits perfectly. However, it needs a tool (a coin for sample) to attach to the lens/camera tightly. The Sirui plate does not need anything but it is almost twice the value. Attached it to my Sigma 70-200 lens collar and will leave it there permanently...so the need for a invent to attach/detach from the collar is no longer an issue for me.

Well made and an exceptional value!! As good at others 3 or even 4 times its price!! Even comes in a commendable little cloth baggie. Zealous cheap arca-swiss style universal plate Exceeded my expectations for a very tuppence inexpensively arca-swiss style universal plate. Well finished and solid with stiff, grippy rubber facing. Substantial value I bought this for my Surely Right Stuff tripod head. I didn't want to spend the big bucks on another dues L bracket. This plate works fine and is permanently attached to my other camera.
Fotopro PL85 PL-85 85mm QR Lens Plate Quick Release Arca Swiss Compatible

DescriptionFotopro® variety PL-85 : Arca-Swiss compatible QR plate. Dual dovetail design. 85mm (3.3") long. 1 x 1/4"-20 screws (force has both flat head screwdriver slot & 4mm hex socket). All metal (aluminum). Includes 2 3mm hex safe keeping screws on the underside.Customer ReviewsMakes working with a tripod a lot easier...I purchased some RRS arca-swiss parts - a quick-release fasten together for my tripod head, an L-bracket for my camera, and a flash bracket. It's all great stuff and has a comely finish.Later, I realized that I needed another clamp for my other tripod and decided to get some lens plates for my extended lenses. I was concerned because it is said that RRS clamps only work with RRS and Wimberley plates. I ordered a for my other tripod because the plates are of one mind with it and I figured that if necessary that's where I would use them. When the plates arrived, I tried them with my RRS clamp - no problems whatsoever. The make fast is nice and tight, but not tighter than with the RRS lens plate. Nothing moves. Perfect fit. The finish will reveal how tolerable it is... Superlative product. As good as RSS, better than Kirk. I've got QR plates on all my tripod collars. This arca-swiss QR plate is as kind as those by RSS, but less expensive. It's got a double-dovetail and you can mount something like a RSS flash bracket on top. (Kirk plates are NOT image = 'prety damned quick'-dovetail, and Kirk plates are a VERY tight fit in RSS lever-release clamps. This is MUCH better than a Kirk plate.) This Fotopro is a apt fit. Design, machining and anodized finish are excellent. Highly recommended. I'm using this one with my Canon 100mm macro L f/2.8 IS tripod revere.

I bought Generation 4 before to use with my 500/2.8 and I also have RRS plate. I love them. When I saw this product and its price, I just wanted to give it a try (for my Nikon 300/2.8 VR). From the offering info, I'm supposed to buy LP-115 for that lens. I thought I ordered the wrong one, but actually this LP-100 fits of laughter perfectly with Nikon 300/2.8 VR foot. I even think it would be a little too long for LP-115. Anyway, the blue blood of the product is great. It does not look cheapo as I would expect. It comes with everything needed. However, one fixation that I can notice, it's a little bit heavier than RRS at the same size. But it's subtle though. If you want to save some $$, this is it. Well-expected lens plate If you call a lens plate with anti-twist tabs, the entire RI LP-nnn series works really well. And the bonus is really right. One nice feature is the slot for the mounting screw comes to within 1/2" of the anti-misquote tab. I have a couple of small footprint spotting scopes (and some mini clamps) that need this cut off distance to engage the tab. On some competing lens plates, the slot stops too far away from the tab, conception the anti-twist feature useless.I also find the centerline 1/4" accessory hole comes in skilled for all kinds of ad hoc mounting applications (e.g. mini-clamp to make a nodal slide or macro criticize, mini-ballhead for outboard mic, etc.). I have competing lens plates that lack this cave, and I quickly come to miss it.As for compatibility, I own dozens of Arca-Swiss style plates and clamps from seven personal manufacturers (including Arca-Swiss). The only clamp this plate doesn't work with is a RRS lever clamp. I blame the lever fastener--it... Works, but gives a paltry Does the job in the end, but I noticed that the grasp isn't as tight with a Monoball Z1 Flip-lock quick release mechanism as arca-swiss brand plates. There is a little coast forward and backward when I use this with a Sony 70-400mm G lens and tripod collar. I don't think it will lock slide off, but it makes me nervous about using the plate in the long term, and I will probably replace this plate with an Arca-Swiss type plate.

as unmistakable out, Swarthy Hasty already has manfrotto RC2 elucidation, and supposetly they're working on gitzo plates too (who knows when they'll be liable :/), but it's not always pattern, and here's why. I use BR straps, but always a tad taxing when i have to unhook the strap, and have the cam on a tripod w/out the added deposit either for it becoming irregular accidentaly or even pushed over in heaving box. Something that's non difficulty with this plate, and that makes this outline very pleasing to me. . . One is that I don't like the fall short of of rest with having the camera so far over to one side. I've barely gotten in the bent of screwing/unscrewing from the tripod cage on the bottom of the console, but would intended to see some description of quick release machinery....
