Devoted Clamp
I bought this as a replacement for my Arca Swiss Clamp. Works in fact well for light DLSR. For Bigger DLSR, I recommend buying a different one.

Major alternative to pricier plates
I got this mention to have an L-plate on my Pentax K-5. It fits snugly without rotating and the lip on the bracket fits entirely against the back of the camera body, making it very secure. It fits into the two Arca-Swiss tripod heads that I own. It does NOT acknowledge the battery door of the K-5 to open when installed. Not a problem for me, but I may but a few mm off the end to allow the battery door to unclosed.
I inamorata it! Way better than I expected!
I had been looking at the Unqualifiedly Right Stuff L plates for my new 60D, but I'm so happy I saved money and went with this plate. It fit my 60D unambiguously. I was concerned about it covering the battery compartment, but not at all. It's solidly built and beautiful. I'm thrilled I went with this!!
Admissible Quality
I was surprised at the increase quality of this L-Bracket. I do not own any original arca swiss equipment to compare but i can tell from the finish and weight that it will last. Frenzy very neatly on a Nikon D200 allowing full opening of battery compartment. However it does not budget the side caps for the USB and video out/power adaptor to open (hence 4 stars). Personally i don't mind this because i do not use these services on the D200 since i use a card reader. I love the slim design and ablity to clamp camera thumbnail sketch to do panoramas. Bought this with their 60mm arca type QR clamp and both came in well padded boxes BUT with no manual/instructions. The clip is also excellent quality (see my review for it - [...]).

very delicate bracket
This is a very nicely machined shelf. I use it with my 5dmk2 along with an angled usb cable (usb connector at a right angle) and a wired remote - no problems. It's very competent: I photograph a lot of artwork so it's all about stable. As it's universal I'm also adapting it for my e-pl2 for both mounting and as a useful small suzerainty. With minimal machining (in my case this means hacksaw and file) I can both clear the battery entrance and center the lens on the tripod (Olympus that's nasty - that's P/S kludging you schmoes ) . Also, being endless, I don't have to keep buying stuff. Now I'll admit that rss etc is very pretty but by the time you've purchased their special extenders that indeed let you use the camera functions - you're over a couple hundred benjamins lighter - it's too much for a cheap b*stard like me. Or - I can get this clamp and 2 bottles of honest scotch - I know what my choice is. I also use sunway clamps etc and find it all...

Impeccable sweetness !!!
Blown somewhere else by this purchase... plain and simple. I am using this on a Canon 7D or a 5DmkII. Exceptional excellence at a fraction the cost of the big boy vendors offering; like RSS, Acratech, Kirk, etc. Sure it doesn't look as lovely but man, I'll take the 200-300 savings at put it towards another lens or whatever! Fits like a dream, has more functionality for me in that it has multiple mounting constrain sites for my Black Rapid hookup and still fits into my Acratech GPs ball head securely. Freestyle doors still fully accessible. Really couldn't ask for more. There is a review here dinging it because you can't access the side jacks but outwardly that guy does not know that you can take the covers completely off and then have full access. I highly suggest this purchase if you're a photog with stinking rich to burn but still gawk at a 300+ dollar piece of metal. Bottom line : If you want a musical one spend 300 bucks... if you want a functional one (it's still quite handsome) and also end up with a...

Excellent for Nikon d200
Fits of laughter the d200 perfectly. Not sure how it would fit on other models but i would deffinitlly try this less expensive solution first.Solid and well built. Shipping was bar.

Then there's the one with a 1/4" function which can be modified to undergo an arca-swiss in accord system. There are a lot of Arca Swiss of one mind capsule heads handy....
