    Enthusiastic Value
This is the cheapest QR mount I could find, and it turns out to be solidly constructed and holds my camera securely. I have no reservations about recommending this to others.
Good clamp for your expensive gear
This is a very regular and well built clamp. It takes four full turns to fully open/close the jaw, so it's not the quickest, but it is unnerve solid and I trust it with my camera and my precious EF100mm f4L IS. The clamp is used on my macro rail snare...
This brace is easily as good as the $79 One I own
This make fast is the perfect example of getting much more than you pay for. I had never heard of this company, I must admit. But I will tell you that from the moment I took it out of the box, the detail screamed " quality". It has a nice weight, feels super smooth, has a very fine finish, a large handle and just the right amount of texture on the handle to enable mild turning. Perfect!! I love this!

    Horrendous First Step Up
I upgraded to the Induro BHD2 Ballhead from the Manfrotto Wheel Head Manfrotto 322RC2 Joystick Head Short and am very pleased with the switch, so I'll list the few pros and cons between the two. The big pro (and the reason I switched) is that the Induro head supports a heavier load with no creep or sagging. I can put my 5D Acquit oneself II with a large lens like the 70-200 securely. This was my only gripe with the Manfrotto Joystick, if you put a unselfish lens on it in portrait mode the Manfrotto just doesn't hold up and starts...
An With the exception of Value!
I got this head to take over from my Manfrotto 322RC2 grip head, which I did not like at all. I'm pleased to say that this Induro head has met all of my expectations. The separate wheel for panning, drag, and lock are all excellent. The drag control allows you to adjust it to well-grounded the right point for smooth movement, then you simply turn and lock it down with the large protuberance. I found no sagging or creeping with my Canon 40D, grip, two batteries, and a 300mm f/4 lens mounted all together. Downward movement is smooth and silky. Compared to the Markins Q3, this head is a great value, at nearly $150 less than the Markins. The Induro even brings an Arca Swiis elegance camera plate, something the other manufacturers make you order separately, and at upwards of $60 in appendix to the head. Do yourselves a favor and get the Induro instead. Forget the Markins, Arca Swiss, Gitzo, and all the other extremely high priced heads out there. This Induro does the job, and then some.
    WOW - Now THAT's a ballmount !!
At first, I meditation I'd have to buy the largest size (the Induro BHD3)to get something substantial/good as the reallyrightstuff or other brands - all of which seemed far more expensive to me. I've been a manufacturing construct for twenty two years, and I know what it costs to make things... enough to know that a rock-trustworthy ball-head should not cost more than $250... even if made in the USA. I've owned Manfrottos mounts - they're great, and they have a cold be conscious of that can only mean thick cast metal. And although this mount is light, and obviously made of sheet metal (i.e. the 2" tablet is hollow) the grip is absolutely firm... you cannot move the camera period !!. Also - the to a certain smaller base diameter fits perfectly on a full-size tripod... it looks like it was fair-minded meant to be exactly there.

    Company Stuff!
May have been a x-mas propinquitous, couldn't wait. have the thing on my monopod. Have already used the set up with my D200 Nikon and Tamron 18-270mm. Got some pics of the moon, scarcely not the ones that i wanted. I was going for the eclipse but i think i was too early. I'll try again some other time. The Sirui G-20 Ballhead worked admirably. I ordered this ballhead because i wanted to be sure it could hold my camera and Sigma 150-500mm lens. I have not tried that parathesis yet, but I'm sure it will be just fine. I would recommend this product to a friend. And as usual, there was no problem buying on-tailback at Amazon.
    SO FAR SO Produce
The ballhead looks tough and well done. I tried it with my Caono 7D and Canon L 24 - 105 lens and so far so good. Both are heavy and I needed a ballhead that would travail and keep them firmly secured at the same time. I chose this ballhead as it was not as expensive as the other more popular makes on the exchange and looked as good as the others. I also checked other reviews and decided to give this new company a try. I have not used it outside my native yet. It did come with a carry pouch which I am not using as was able to leave it attached to the tripod, smae alter, inside the bag it came with. I am not a pro photographer, just studying and taking photos for my kennel and friends. I will update this review article in the future and let you know if it is as good as it looks and feels.

Professional for what it is supposed to do
Chap Video Review Length:: 9:16 MinsThe quality of the materials is wonderfull, i brainstorm the ballhead would be so-so but actually it outperforms the tripod. The ballhead can handle the 11 pounds this combo claims but the tripod doenst at some angles/positions. The most prominent is to UNDERSTAND that if you buy this combo it doesnt mean that it will replace your regular (big) tripod. This tripod works wonderfull if you "hug" something with the legs. It also works spectacular for macro... as you can check in my video. This tripod would have save me a lot of time asking strangers to take pictures of me and my girlfriend while traveling in Paris and Brussels. In my video you can see how it handles a Nikon D90 + Mobile Grip with 2 batteries + 18-200mm VRII + SB600 flash. I also tested it with a heavier D300 + 70-300mm VR + SB600 scintillate. I am impressed with how this combo was able to keep everything thight hanging from a door and a tree part. I...
    Formidable tripod for SLR cameras
Consumer Video Review Length:: 0:40 MinsThe gorillapod foucs is a great tripod for slr possessor's with large zoom lens. I use a and have a attached to it. Even with the lens fully extended the camera doesn't tremble or drop down. The tripod is also very light weight which makes it ideal for travel. The only CON of the product is that the legs are a bit severe and makes it a bit hard to wrap the legs around an structure. If you can live with that this is the best travel tripod for slr users
Once, a Gorillapod that will hold up my camera - usually
Gorillapods are colossal, but you need one thats one-model stiffer than what Joby says. For example, get this one if you have a D300, and dont look forward it to hold it up very well with a 600mm/2.8 lens on it. But it will hold it up with medium size lenses. My one-time one, one model down, was not strong enough for me to be comfortable putting a D300 on with anything heavier than the 18-200 mounted. Moral be careful - its easy to dump your camera with this thing if you're not.

A bargain at the current price
I'll say upfront... would I buy this again for $150? YES. Now I'm only using it with a Nikon 300mm f/4 + 1.4TC, so I'm not taxing its stated majority capacity. And maybe my one "gripe" would be a different story if I had a heavier lens mounted. So the twinge is the panning motion. Even with the tension knob as loose as it will go, there is a distinctly uneven movement... to b go it to the right and it glides along, then swing back left and it will suddenly "grab" (at the same point), the tension becomes greater and I'm having to force with just a BIT more pressure. I don't want to be overly dramatic about it; not like the motion tries to slow or anything... "uneven" is the operative word to describe the tension when panning. Not bad enough for me to send back, and I'm kind of point of view this is to be expected at the price point-- not perfect. There is a barely noticeable amount of lubricant that can be seen after a lot of panning in that roast. Maybe something about the panning design...
Does what it is intended to do
At best got the Opteka GH1 Pro Heavy Duty Gimbal Head today and gave it a try. It provides a very stable gimbal mount for my big lenses. The adjustments employment well, with the exception of a compass mounted on the platform at 90 degrees from how it needs to be oriented to act as a compass ... not steady what the logic behind this design is all about. The 62% off the price was a nice enticement as well. Swinging the camera into situation is very smooth and you don't have to worry about the camera/lens toppling over with this mount (center of mass is below the nave point for typical adjustments).
Accomplished Value for a Light Use Gimbal Head
My first take-off when opening the package was that the quality of the materials and manufacturing was better than I had expected. The head has a strong caress to it and all of the knobs are solid with a comfortable rubber coating. Two of the knobs have compasses built into them, which are by decorative since they are mounted vertically and will only provide a bearing when the head is tilted on its side. One of the two compasses was DOA on my unit, but no one should unqualifiedly be buying a gimbal head for a built in compass. My one real complaint about the unit is that it did not come with any instructions or official recognition. I had to go online and download the instructions for a competing product in order to learn how to properly mount and scales my lens on the unit.Overall the unit works well. It doesn't compare to the smoothness of a more up-market gimbal head, but at 1/3 the price is a good value for the money. If you have a really large lens or plan on...
