I young lady it! Way better than I expected!
I had been looking at the Honestly Right Stuff L plates for my new 60D, but I'm so happy I saved money and went with this plate. It fit my 60D faultlessly. I was concerned about it covering the battery compartment, but not at all. It's solidly built and beautiful. I'm thrilled I went with this!!
Leading alternative to pricier plates
I got this memorandum to have an L-plate on my Pentax K-5. It fits snugly without rotating and the lip on the bracket fits perfectly against the back of the camera consistency, making it very secure.It fits into the two Arca-Swiss tripod heads that I own.It does NOT allow the battery entry of the K-5 to open when installed. Not a problem for me, but I may but a few mm off the end to allow the battery door to open.
Attractive thorough Quality
I was surprised at the base quality of this L-Bracket. I do not own any original arca swiss equipment to compare but i can tell from the finish and weight that it will last.Fits very swiftly on a Nikon D200 allowing full opening of battery compartment. However it does not allow the side caps for the USB and video out/power adaptor to get under way (hence 4 stars).Personally i don't mind this because i do not use these facilities on the D200 since i use a card reader.I love the slim conspiracy and ablity to clamp camera portrait to do panoramas.Bought this with their 60mm arca type QR clamp and both came in well padded boxes BUT with no handbook/instructions. The clamp is also excellent quality (see my review for it - [...]).

Concentrated "L" bracket
I am revising my examination in fairness. I bought this and a clamp (Desmond) and found I couldn't adapt the clamp to my Manfrotto conclusion. I did finally get a response from the shipper, and all was cleared up. There is an adapter available at the auction site (E) that allegedly will correct the problem. Anyway, this bracket is really very nice, solid feel, not too heavy, adjustable and much less extravagant than many of the "acra" compatible products. Also, I found the shipper's customer service to be top notch, which is a correction of my archetypal post. (I sometimes lack patience.)

Eximious L Plate
Purchased this L Dish along with a SUNWAYFOTO Panning Ballhead and am very impressed with the build quality and versatility of the system.The L Plate is bearable & strong - very well constructed. Fits well on my Nikon D300, and makes it easy to switch between view and portrait modes. Highly recommended.

Proper sweetness !!!
Blown somewhere else by this purchase... plain and simple. I am using this on a Canon 7D or a 5DmkII. Exceptional property at a fraction the cost of the big boy vendors offering; like RSS, Acratech, Kirk, etc. Sure it doesn't look as dulcet but man, I'll take the 200-300 savings at put it towards another lens or whatever! Fits like a dream, has more functionality for me in that it has multiple mounting swindle sites for my Black Rapid hookup and still fits into my Acratech GPs ball head securely. Battery-operated doors still fully accessible. Really couldn't ask for more. There is a review here dinging it because you can't access the side jacks but obviously that guy does not know that you can take the covers completely off and then have full access. I highly suggest this purchase if you're a photog with riches to burn but still gawk at a 300+ dollar piece of metal. Bottom line : If you want a melodic one spend 300 bucks... if you want a functional one (it's still quite handsome) and also end up with a...

very worthwhile bracket
This is a very nicely machined bracket. I use it with my 5dmk2 along with an sloping usb cable (usb connector at a right angle) and a wired remote - no problems. It's very stable: I photograph a lot of artwork so it's all about secure.As it's universal I'm also adapting it for my e-pl2 for both mounting and as a useful small grip. With minimal machining (in my case this means hacksaw and register) I can both clear the battery door and center the lens on the tripod (Olympus that's nasty - that's P/S kludging you schmoes ) .Also, being universal, I don't have to keep buying bullshit. Now I'll admit that rss etc is very pretty but by the time you've purchased their special extenders that actually let you use the camera functions - you're over a combine hundred benjamins lighter - it's too much for a cheap b*stard like me. Horrible for Nikon d200
Panic the d200 perfectly. Not sure how it would fit on other models but i would deffinitlly try this less expensive solution first.Solid and well built. Shipping was fantastic.

Excluding value for the money
L-brackets are practical to allow you to use your camera in both horizontal and vertical orientation on the tripod. They allow the camera to abide centered over the tripod, which is more stable. Unfortunately cameras have no standard size, and therefore normally L-brackets have to be trade built for each camera model. Manufacturers such as Really Right Stuff and Markins will barter you custom L brackets for $120 and more.Sunwayfoto seems to be a new entrant in this market. This plate can potentially fit many strange cameras. It has many holes for the mounting screw, and also has an adjustable little plate (the "lip") that makes the bracket restful against the camera body and eliminates any play. This lip is adjustable by unscrewing three screws. (The bracket comes with a hex key for these screws.) Clever for Sony A55
Smashingly made and a good fit for my Sony A55 considering it's a universal plate. I couldn't use the back stop but that hasn't reduced the functionality.
