What's in the Box Customer ReviewsSimilarity of on board microphone vs. ATR3350 microphone on Canon HF200Fellow Video Review Length:: 5:05 MinsI test the microphone on a Canon HF200 camcorder at the run aground with both Ocean and Creek noise in the background. The difference is quite remarkable. Don't turn your speakers up too fortissimo, as the volume changes quite a bit when I go from on board to lavalier microphone. Note that I had to actually Cut the volume during edit because the Audio Technica mic would have clipped, otherwise.During video editing I made the following adjustments:Ring track +4db (to compensate for excessively quiet on board microphone)Just the ATR3350 slice -3.4db (to compensate for the Audio Technica microphone being so loud)Final analysis: If I was using Objective the lavalier microphone, no adjustments... Horrible lapel mic for the price The Audio Technica ATR-3350 Lavalier Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone appears to be a virtually identical replacement lavalier mic from the recently discontinued Audio-Technica ATR-35S Lavalier Microphone.Reading some blog warning about video podcasting and playing around a bit with making YouTube videos, "sound" in video is inveterately the part that makes video quality bad. So I was looking for a reasonably price lapel mic to use. The ATR-3350 is quite cheap considering that you can easily spend $200 for a professional model lapel mic.If you read some of the "1" (abhor it) reviews from the ATR-35S, they pretty much all related to "low volume issues". You may see some similar reviews here as time goes on. Plugging the ATR-3350 momentarily into my Dell laptop PC mic in or camera mic in, I also thought the volume is not high enough. However, plugging it into my video camera, it sounded enthusiastic. Just the right volume. Not too loud or soft.I went to the... For the Prize, You Get What You Pay For The Audio-Technica ATR-35S lavaliere microphone is a higher than commonplace quality microphone. The benefits of the microphone are that the small microphone can clip onto a shirt, or tie with the provided snip. The battery compartment and on/off switch has an additional clip on it to attach to your belt, or pant waist. The blanket sound quality for the microphone is astounding considering the price, averaging at about $25, often times less. The stuff used to fabricate the microphone feels sturdy, and that it will last. Overall I'm extremely happy with the eminence of the sound, and the microphone itself. The 20 foot cord helps when you are walking around a room, with the recorder set on a plateau. Granted, just be sure not to walk too far, as to not pull the recorder off the table. However, I do have a few minor complaints. When I use this microphone with my reveal recorder, I always feed the microphone through my shirt, and have my recorder in my pocket. When...

DescriptionGives feeling-up presenters freedom of movementConnectivity Technology: Wireless 200'Microphone Controls: On/Off MuteVHF bunch 2 channel Transmitter powered by 1 - 9V battery Installs into RCA port of SoundStation EX series or SoundStation Foremost EX series wall moduleCustomer ReviewsWorks Fantabulous, but you may need to change the SoundStation settings firstThe Polycomm Wireless Lapel Microphone works as advertised - we can sneak quite far away from the SoundStation 2 we use and callers can easily hear us over the lapel mic. Works great for crowd meetings when the room is filled with people, a bunch more have dialed in, and the speaker is wandering around the space. We had an initial problem where the receiver indicated it was receiving a signal from the wireless mic, but the microphone seemed not to be picking up any grumble. It turned out to be a menu setting on the SoundStation 2 that needed to be changed: Go into the menu, select "Settings" > "Aux Audio" and divulge sure it's set to "Wireless Mic" then press "Save".
AZDEN EX503 Omni-Directional Lavaliere Microphones
Details
DescriptionAZDEN EX503 Lavaliere MicrophonesCustomer ReviewsColossal bang for the buckWith lav mikes uninterrupted anywhere from $10 to $250 these days, it is nice to find a $25 unit with tie clip and wind cloak. Sound quality is excellent and works fine with wireless systems. It does, however, be lacking a bias voltage to work properly as do most condenser mikes. Most all systems (azden, sennheiser, etc) victual this bias on the connector to make the mike work so it is not a problem. Be sure your jack has around 5 volts or so on the mike terminals and you are opportune to go.FYI - the price of the whole mic is less than the tie clip and wind screen bought separately, so if you need to replace a extinct part just buy a new mike! Commendable Lavaliere Microphone I liked the pickup je sais quoi when I used this on my video camera and my wireless system. The clip is very strong and hold well to clothing when it is placed in any quandary. The wind screen stays ON...many of these small ones don't over time. So far I have enjoyed using this one. Very Glad Dedicated price. I bought this for a video shoot. I plugged it in to my computer... and it sounded really idle and noisy. I plugged it in to my Panasonic dvx through a really bad mini to XLR converter. It sounded very noisy again. So I blamed it on the cnverter.Then... I plugged it soon into a Canon 5D. I was amazed! It really sounds good. On top of that, is is shockingly noise-less. Good full bodied voices. Not tingy or sand bar. Ultimately, I am really happy with it. We'll see how it performs tomorrow during the shoot.P.S. it comes with a little humbug shield. You cant beat that with a stick for 17 bucks!I'll try to add a video demo soon.
Olympus ME-52W Noise Canceling Microphone
Details
DescriptionTumult cancelling microphone for use with Olympus digital voice recorders. Comes with 3.5mm monaural promote, tiepin clip, and extension cord.Customer ReviewsAn excellent compact microphoneMy first reply to this microphone was astonishment at is its small size. It's larger than most lapel microphones, but that's because of the physical requirements for bawling-cancellation. Still, it's very small, especially for a true "cardioid" (noise-cancelling) microphone. The show is superb! As Jim wrote, it is very sensitive. I tested it in a quiet room at distances up to 10 feet in another place. At about 3 feet, my voice was strong and clear. At 10 feet, it was obviously remote, but the signal articulate was good and very clear, with no echo. Off-axis, the sensitivity drops rapidly. At about 70 degrees, the prudent weakens noticeably, and beyond 90 degrees, it is almost inaudible.M. L. Strickland is correct in warning that the microphone requires superficial power. The instructions on the box specify 1.5 - 10 volts. Writers who reported that the microphone was very dim-witted were almost certainly using a recorder that does not provide the necessary excitation voltage... Does principled what you want For a cheapo microphone, I was pleasantly surpised with how well this worked at picking up speakers who were a remoteness away. You may have to adjust the sensitivity of the recorder, because the sensitivity of this mic is significantly higher than the built-in stereo mic, and recording to 'hot' will outcome in garbled, distorted sound. The Olympus recorders seem to select sensitivity with labels like 'caveat' and 'conference', where 'conference' would normally be used in a distant recording situation but if the record bar hits the in all honesty side of the screen you want to set it to the lower sensitivity mode 'dictate'. In any case, with this (mono) mic you should change your recording manner to Mono so you can get double the record time. right in a noisy setting I did an audience in a noisy restaurant and put the recorder on the table with the mic pointed straight up. The mic picked up both voices very well and cut down the unobtrusive noise by at least 70%. The interview would have been impossible otherwise.

Pyle has been in establishment for over 35 years, and their manufacturing experience and expertise is easy to see - and hear.Customer ReviewsConsiderate Wireless Mic, For The Price - RecommendedWe bought the Pyle-Pro Lavalier Wireless Microphone System for use with the . We needed an kicker wireless mic for our workshop presenters and this was a very inexpensive choice. For the price, this worked a lot better than I expected but it did take some harmonization to the "Trim Screw" on the receiver to get the clarity and range needed. We also had to tape the little wire sensor up so it wasn't hanging in front of the speaker (this might not be an issue for you, depending on where you plug yours in). There are a lot of very expensive wireless mic units that I'm convinced would provide better sound and range, but this one works just fine for our uses.Blanket, a good value for the low cost of this unit. Smashing Reception with Only 1 Complaint I honest bought 3 units for my Professional D.J. Service. Me and my partner tested these units yesterday and I walked around our post and went on the other side of the Cement Wall Garage and had crystal clear reception. The DJ system we were using was snare inside of our office. I am very pleased with this unit, as I have PylePro Amplifiers that have been very good to me for the last several years. My only gripe is the "String Antenna" is very fragile. Be very careful with it because once you rip the antenna the entire unit is junk. Complete I am satisfied and look forward to using these units at my next wedding on the 19th! Lofty system I have only been using this for about 2 weeks. I have had no problems with it. It delivers dislodge undistorted sound on both the A & B channels. I have only used it in ranges of 20 to 30 feet and cannot note on longer ranges. I do wish it had a transmitter volume control which I was surprised it lacked. I have to do any bulk adjustments at the PA device. For the price, I think they could have added that, but I am content with the product.

Specifications
Customer ReviewsCurtness Lavalier mic with better than average performance. Good value for price. This mic was purchased for use with a Canon HV-20 camcorder. Best years purpose is for videotaping interviews with people who are sitting (not moving around). It comes with a 20' telegraph, which is more than enough for use in any room in the average size home.Build quality: better than I expected for the guerdon, the battery and pre-amp holder feel more like aluminum than plastic (it's hard to tell under the jet-black paint). The mic element itself is tiny, and comes with a lapel clip and foam wind screen. The in the cards scare screen, like the mic element itself, is tiny and pretty easy to pull off, so keep an eye on it that it doesn't become desperate. The battery is one of the "button" types, rather than a "AA" (which I would have preferred). One battery is supplied - I have no idea of how long it might last, so preferably have a spare. The mike is a condenser type, so it will not work at all if the battery is dead.Performance: Very profit! The sound quality is better than I had expected for the... Astounding Lucidity This was the first mic I bought to go along with my Sony VX2100 Minidv camcorder! The 20' twine was what attracted me first, and then the price, but when I played back some footage I was blown away with the professional sound that it produces! The blue blood to my ears seems equal to any interview I hear on television! It's that good!I wear or place this about mid breast level and that seems about right, but it will pick up nicely even if placed further away. Its by far better than any camcorder mic! The 20' twine is great when your subject or yourself needs to move around to demonstrate something. Or to be stationary in a long shot! I try intimate above, if your subdue is sitting 5' to 6' from the camera lense in an interview position, this powerful itsy-bitsy mic works equally as well. 1' or 20' makes no difference!Bottom line; when I'm recording indoors I never use the on-quarter mic, I always reach for this and plug it in!And to add... Specialist Quality at a fraction of the cost!! I've been a seasoned television reporter/producer for four years, and I was astounded by the sound quality of this mic.I bought it for a disconcert to Ethiopia to use with my personal camcorder, a 3CCD Panasonic. I was going for work, with a crew, but I wanted to shoot some move videos of my own. On my last trip to South Africa I did the same, but the camera mic sounded lousy, especially compared to the pro-audio I was getting with the stories themselves. That utterly changed with this trip. The sound quality I have on my travel video standups with this $26 microphone is about 95% the property I get from our professional gear. That runs $300 for a mic, $300 for the wireless transmitter, and $300 for the recipient. So $26 compared to $900+ is a fantastic deal. The 20 feet of mic wire does get a bit tangled from on occasion to time if you're using the mic on the run. But for the quality sound you get back from it, hassling with the wire is very much worth your... |

They say prudent is half the personification, and this is exceptionally actual for web videos and for videos where you will have someone talk to the camera unequivocally a bit. If you make up one's mind to go with a cameara without the microphone input jack, I would undoubtedly interesting buying a outer audio recording figure, such as the Zoom H1 (which I talk about later on)....
