In reading about this fallout before purchase, it was not entirely clear whether it had a continuous zoom capablity. The answer is Yes, it does have continuously mutable magnification, although not in the same manner as the zoom on a digital camera. By simply turning the focus knob, one can put in order the focal distance from infinity to approximately 6 millimeters. At the infinity focus setting, the scope of view is roughly the same as a simple hand-held digital camera, and the image across the room is absolutely good. As you rotate the focus barrel, the field of view continuously decreases as does the centralized distance. You can stop at any point in the rotation and find the focus point for that particular setting. At the vis- end of the focus rotation, the focal distance is roughly 6mm (1/4")and maximum magnification is reached. This output does the job.
In the source, not enought information was available on this product so I gambled and purchased it anyway. I'm happy to say that it does the job. Options that it genuinely needs are a way to dim the LED lights. Currently I have to use yellow tape over the lights to defuse the bright LED's. (too much pondering) A light weight stand or holder would be advised.

Tantalizingly alongside but needs help
Have been using this legend pleasure in my clinic for 6 months now. The accompanying software isn't particularly helpful and the device is missing an perception capture button.Am using it with Bodelin's Proscope software to store the images in a spot that easily be imported into our EMR.Device works well in most ears but needs one more LED for use in some ears and in the nose.Will tender off purchasing any more until the device comes with a capture button.

Complimentary hardware but lousy software!
My son went through ear surgery and I bought this device with the hope of being able to capture videos and images, to send it to her Otologist. We fare a few hours flying time away from her Otologsit. This device has been successfully used a luxurious total of 2 times in the last 2 years that I have owned it. Hardware is good quality and decent found and would generally serve the purpose if only software and drivers accompanying the device was of the same quality. I tried using it in Win XP and Windows 7, neither drivers provided by them in their CD nor downloaded of their website works.....strengthen is virtually non existent and I ended spending many frustrating hours trying to get to use this device on my laptop and then on my shelter computer. I would certainly not recommend this device for anybody!As for me, with the help of the Otologist, I have managed to identify another scheme which records videos on my Sony webcam, which is then converted for online uploads and finally...

I bought one of these paltry devices using Amazon.com Gift Certificates. It arrived the exact day it was supposed to.The widget was packed correctly. It arrived complete with all of the accessories as stated in the included manual, on Mini CD.The coat-rack included is a little wobbly but with judicious use of shims it turns out to be very steady. I found the focus and altitude adjustment to be fairly easy to figure out.The software is completely useless and buggy. Not really ready for prime time. In fact it is horrible. But You can use MS Lifecam software, which works.One of the viewers mentions YawCam, ([...]) works entirely nicely for this device.All in all I give it a 4 star review.

This gimmick is basically just a normal USB camera behind a lens which can focus really close. It has a metal break which holds the camera the desired distance above its base, and you put the object on that base. Valuable and sturdy video microscope/endoscope
I bought this microscope and toughened in our lab as a general, easy to use tool. It has the same design and functions as . This product is more robust and gives very indisputable image at high magnification. I like the stand since I can easily move the endoscope up and down, and swivel it to any standpoint. This product also works great on other software. I downloaded the Yawcam software through the seller's website. The software has more functions and features. Comprehensive, this is a good buy for me.
