Fujichrome Velvia is one of the conquer slide film I've used. Their color are just amazing. I use this film mainly with my Pentax 645. Now to M.Nielsen animadversion and poor rating to this film. I think you are either getting a wrong film or it's your first time shooting 120 "pay no heed"? 120 slide are not usually treated like those 35mm slide. Most pro lab will develop them but will not mount them. :) To anyone intrusive about the quality of this film, I say go ahead. It's a good film.
The Finest
Velvia is one of the first slide films out there. The colors are amazing, very shape and little if any noise. Colors are plucky, rich and pretty true. I find fuji films to be a bit cooler than other color slide films, but it's due a nitpick. You won't be sorry if you buy this film.

Consecrated COW - don't overlook this SSD!
I'll start by saying I'm not a techie, but I do my examine and I understand computers fairly well, so understand that this review is coming from the perspective of an educated layman with impartial his personal experience (and what he's read elsewhere) to go off.And, before I start, let me give you my hardware specs first, just so you know: HP HDX18T laptop, Intel Insides 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.66 GHz, 1080p HD res, 4gb ram (2 x 2DIMM), nvidia 130M card (does the job, but it's my weakest relationship now, for sure!). Used to be a top-of-the-line system, but it's about 3.5 yrs old now, and I haven't really babied it at all, so the parts positively have normal wear and tear.Now, onto the review --Performance: This SSD simply FLIES. My "disk facts transfer" Windows Experience Score was 5.5 out of 7.9 before the upgrade (with a WD2500BEKT 250 gb hdd @ 7200 rpm). No freshness fixture
You don't make this film in the package like it's pictured so you have no idea of how old the film is. It's the professional version but again, you have no object if the film has been stored properly or how long it has been on the shelf/fridge. I wouldn't take a chance on it again and would not have purchased it if I had known it was not in the box. I felt misguide.
If your waist name is Saturation you will love Velvia
Velvia makes reds RED, greens Unripened, blues BLUE, and ... well, you get my drift. This is excellent film for nature shots and landscapes if you dearth a lot of saturation of the colors you see out there. Not so hot for faces. Be aware of that.It is not Kodachrome Professional 25 and not intended to be. In episode the main reason any flavor of Kodachrome is almost gone now is folks like the Velvia saturation and the seasoned quality in an E-6 process.Ektachrome or Provia are more Kodachrome-like but still not Kodachrome. I might sound desirous but I used Kodachrome Professional 25, 64, and 200 from the '60s until it was no longer available a few years ago - 25 disappeared first, then 200, then 64 and all that is leftist now is standard 64 and it is good but not worth the cost compared to Fuji films.As hanker as there is film there will be Velvia and you could do a whole lot worse.

Countless color film!
I don't kill film often anymore, but when I do, this is what I use. I have never been dissapointed with the film, the photographer is another story! Really outstanding go red and clarity, stops down well, and colors you see in the view finder are what you get on the film.
Based upon the tremendously regarded ultra-fine grain emulsion technology of Provia 100F, the new Fujichrome Velvia 100 crumb structure has been further improved even while maintaining ultra-high color saturation.

One of the excellent reverse films in currenty market.
Velvia has always been celebrated within film photographers group, it gets superior sharpness and high contrast images, nicest solutions for variety of uses, especially for landscape photography. However, nowadays not many store can manifest even films, for some stores, they do not usually have the right chemicals for the reverse films or slide films, which is sad. For Velvia films, I have perfectly nothing to complain, "the age wins".I would personally recommend you to send your Velvia films to an online developer, or Fuji appointment in your state, usually Fuji can do it for you. And you can use the film scannertransferring into the digital versions, it brings you another reason of saving your achievements.Although I already have some high-end digital cameras, I will never give up shooting films, it makes you have a ball the entire process of photography, especially a manual camera.Here are some scanners that I recommend for doing film photography...

Skilful Film

I read on several websites that Fuji Velvia 50 and 100 (not 100F) are great countryside films, and so I thought I would try them out. I found that Velvia 50 gives really intense colors, but changes the hues of some colors (specimen, orange turns red). I found that Velvia 100 gives very accurate, beautiful colors. In comparing scenes essay with a DSLR (Nikon D40) and Velvia 100 (with a Nikon N80), I found that the film picked up more go red, and finer color hues than the DSLR. I thought that scanning the slides would cause me to be deprived of some of the color hues, but to my joy they showed up in the digital scans as well.All in all, good film.

Every study I read on Velvia raved about the quality of color the film is able to capture. I safe haven't been able to shoot in several years, but a bit of eye surgery and a used autofocus F5 are allowing me to return to the double over. Films that I knew are being phased out, so I finally gave up on my trusted Kodachrome and started shopping around.My unthinking reaction when I saw my first Velvia chromes on the light table was..."Damn, I'm good!" But I ruminate over it was probably more the film than me. The difference I have found in actually trying a 5-pack of Velvia rather than just reading the reviews of others is much like the remainder in reading about how nice a kiss is and actually experiencing it.Really good stuff, that Velvia!
