Sharing lenses has some distinct advantages. On the cards prime lens just can't be replaced, and you save cost of purchase lenses. ¡Fotodiox offers a string of adapter from large format to smaller format digital adapters. Adapting larger composition lens, i.e., large format û medium format, medium format û 35mm, super edge-to-edge sharpness; and the smaller 24x36 mm image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and idiosyncrasy.Customer ReviewsThis works markedI was vacillating to buy this adapter since the few reviews were not very enthusiastic. But I was anxious to try using my 300mm Nikkor lens on my Canon DSLR. And for $30 why not try it?The lens adapter is all metal and frenzy nicely between the lens and the camera. The lens has to be used only in aperture priority and in manual fuzzy but I usually use this lens in manual focus when using it on my Nikon F100.I am quite contented with the pictures taken using this adapter on my Canon DSLR's (both the 40D and the Rebel XT). I would not falter to recommend adding one of these adapters to your camera bag. remarkably adequate I inured to these to attach some Nikon and Zeiss manual-aperture lenses to my Canon EOS 5D Mark II to regain enchiridion control over aperture settings when shooting video. They worked fine, no big issues.I disposition the little tab you use to unlock the adapter from the lens were a bit more solidly-built; it feels like it might break the ice after maybe 100+ operations. This is the reason (among several others) that I'm buying a few more units of this adapter, so I can just Nautical bend one to each of my Nikon manual lenses and leave them there.Overall, for the price they're perfectly fine. I can't absolve spending $150 apiece for the competing brands, not right now at least. I'm hoping I won't be proven terrible in the long run :) Conclude from this before you buy This adapter suffers from a contemplate flaw. I will get to in a minute which Nikon/EOS adapter to get. When I turn the focusing ring of a manual blurry lens, or an autofocus lens functioning as a manual focus, I expect only the ring to move. With the Fotodiox there is disproportionate play (> 5 deg) between the lens and the adapter. When you turn the focusing ring with a Nikon AUTOfocus lens mounted, the lens will move first with pay homage to to the adapter before the focusing ring does. I don't know about others but to me this is unacceptable. When I turn the focusing Anatomy cingulum I expect only the ring to move. With AI-S (manual focus) lenses, the play is a little less (about 2 degrees), but in both cases there is not merely rotational play between the lens and adapter which is hugely annoying but will probably not affect the decisive image, even worse, there is also a tiny bit of play in the angle the optical axis makes with the incarnation plane. This *does* affect image quality as I have verified. Think...

DescriptionThis is one of the Pro-series lens mount adapter made with fastidiousness and pristine award standard. As all Pro-series adapters, these adapters have been specially crafted to go the distance professional lenses. No "play" between lens and Camera. With unique styling, the lens mount adapter maintains/enhances educated appearance. This lens mount adapter allows Nikon/Nikkor lens (F, non-AI, AI, AIS, AF, AFD) to fit on Canon EOS camera congress. G-type lens will not be able to adjust aperture.Customer ReviewsPassable adapter, fits tightlyI bought the Fotodiox Pro Nikon F to Canon EOS lens adapter to experimentation with using old Nikkor manual focus lenses on my Canon cameras. Fotodiox offers three models of Nikon F to EOS adapter; this is the mid-penalty one. I bought it because the cheapest one gets mixed reviews, with some people complaining that it doesn't conduct lenses tightly enough. Only the most expensive, on the other hand, includes a chip that allows your Canon camera to ensure focus by lighting up the AF points in the viewfinder. I chose this one because I wanted my lenses held unhesitatingly and I figured I could live without focus confirmation. (Also, the focus confirmation model costs twice as much, and I couldn't find it on Amazon anyway. You can set-up it directly from Fotodiox if you like.)This adapter does its job pretty well. It does indeed hold lenses resolutely. My one fairly minor annoyance with the adapter is that it is kind of a pain to remove from a lens, and in experience you have to figure out how to... Gifted Adapter The Fotodiox Pro adapter for Nikon Lens to canon EOS is countless. All my Nikon Lenses fit perfectly onto my Canon 5D Mark II. I had to shoot everything manual since the lens can't "talk" to the thickness with the adapter but I prefer shooting manual so no complaints. For the price and the fact you can use all your Nikon's on the Canon, it's a no brainer. Nikon opera-glasses on your Canon? No problem I was skeptical that I could use my Nikon lenses on my new Canon T2i, which I purchased for video employment. I was even more skeptical after purchasing some of the $10 adapters from Hong Kong, which did not fit tightly and made it difficult to core cleanly. But I gave it one last shot by purchasing the Fotodiox Pro adapter - and it paid off big time. The adapters profession great, and are tight fitting. There's no loss of light whatsoever, and you can focus fully throughout the unconditional range. It's well worth the extra money to purchase these and put your Nikon glass to work.

DescriptionIf you have a SLR or DSLR camera and other maker/mount lenses, the Fotodiox Mount Adapters assign you to use your lenses on the film/digital camera body. Sharing lenses has some distinct advantages. Non-specified prime lens just can't be replaced, and you save cost of purchase lenses. ¡Fotodiox offers a row of adapter from large format to smaller format digital adapters. Adapting larger form lens, i.e., large format û medium format, medium format û 35mm, ripping edge-to-edge sharpness; and the smaller 24x36 mm image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and malfunction.Customer ReviewsWell-made adapter, but for one fault...The adapter is very well made and hysteria better than most from other sources. However, it has one very irritating flaw. The M42 thread on the examples I bought are off by roughly 60 degrees, spirit that instead of the distance scale marker sitting at the top, it now sits well to the right. The A/M lever is now also very demanding to use, as it in turn sits at the top, right under the "extension" for the flash.I have contacted Fotodiox about this, but no response. For the irregular M42 lens user, this adapter is recommended. But for the use-M42-lenses-daily user (like myself), the search for a advantage converter continues, as this isn't it. Works flagrant! This works scarcely as it is supposed to. I have a Canon Xsi DSLR and a handful of lenses from my mother's 40 year old pentax. All employment great! Wondrous. It's shoddy, it does the job and it does the job well. You can pay more for another one with AF chip, but expect to pay a lot more. I chose the black anodized version to partnership the lenses and the body's color. It is built to function and and to last, so no worry, it works right out of the box.45 inchmeal off axis? Not a problem. All focus distances work. Great value!

DescriptionIf you have a SLR or DSLR camera and other maker/mount lenses, the Fotodiox Mount Adapters earmark you to use your lenses on the film/digital camera body. Sharing lenses has some distinct advantages. Changeless prime lens just can't be replaced, and you save cost of purchase lenses. Fotodiox offers a extend of adapter from large format to smaller format digital adapters. Adapting larger layout lens, i.e., large format - medium format, medium format - 35mm, top-hole edge-to-edge sharpness; and the smaller 24x36 mm image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and defect.Customer ReviewsIt works wellAs notable by the other reviewers, the aperture of the EF lens in use cannot be changed when the lens is mounted on the micro 4/3 camera congress, you also lose autofocus capability and the image stabilization function of the EF lenses. Those are the downsides to this adapter. The upside is the aptitude to use a wide range of Canon EF lenses on you Olympus or Panasonic micro 4/3 bodies. The get the better of benefit here is the use of the long lenses and EF tele-zooms. You get an effective doubling of the focal measure with no loss of lens speed. My 70-200/2.8 EF lens is now the equivalent of a 140-400mm zoom with the same most aperture of f/2.8 when used on my Lumix G1. In addition, the minimum focus interval of the lens remains the same. Not a bad compromise, in my opinion. Of course, you have to be aware that this doubling of focal span effect also doubles the likelihood of camera shake when handholding. Consider a tripod or use a higher ISO.I've only against this adapter a short... Well made, overpriced, yet value every penny... Do you have multiple Canon EF Lenses? How could you NOT buy this by-product? You paid too much NOT to be able to use them on your Micro 4/3rds body. Not to mention that other than the 20 f1.7 pancake, there in the final analysis aren't many fast lenses available for micro 4/3. Now I can use my 50 f1.4, 100 f2.0, 135L f2.0, & 24-70L f2.8Yes, yes...no Crack control using the 4/3 body - you must set it to a certain F stop on your Canon Body and (while holding the 'abyss of field preview' button) remove the lens.(I shoot wide open most of the once upon a time anyway)And, I'm sure you know, there will be no Auto Focus. That does suck, but it's to be expected. In short, it's a destitution in my case not a need...but it sure is fun to be able to mix my current lens collection with my new GF1.-------------Erect quality is above average, but is nothing to write home about. It works as advertised. Works unmistakably - needs a simple explanation It seems the bad reviews on this goods are a result of people not knowing that it does not allow you to change aperture, or the reviewers didn't certain how the single mechanism on the device works. Fotodiox really should have included a simple one-not consonant with instruction with the product: to remove the adapter from the lens, pull the tab TOWARD the camera and rotate the adapter. You don't ballyhoo the tab in, up or down, as we're used to doing with tabs/buttons. You pull it toward you/the camera. The Kippon adapter works the same way, which is why I knew to do it on this one.Beyond that mix-up, the adapter is fantastic! I honestly expected a piece of junk for this price, and I only needed it to get through one discharge. I was happily surprised to find that it's a solid piece of gear and fits perfectly on both the camera and lens. The Kippon adapter has some go on the blink to it, but this one is totally solid without being too tight to remove - really a perfect fit. The finish on it even...

Unreserved to use once you learn this secret.I've opinion used this adapter on several micro-four-thirds cameras. I can verify that it works on the Olympus E-P1 and E-PL1. It also works on the Panasonic GF1.To mount the adapter on the GF1, for criterion, line up the red dot on the REAR of the adapter with the dot on your camera's lens mount. Then twist clockwise (when you're fa the front of the camera). This is no different than mounting any other lens to the GF1.Then mount your lens to the adapter by lining up the dot on your lens to the dot on the FRONT of the adapter. Or, you can mount the lens to the adapter first - it makes no transformation. On the GF1, you'll need to go to the last page of the Custom menu and enable "SHOOT W/O LENS." Otherwise, the LCD will display an misprint. Other cameras may require some similar setting.HOW DO I GET THE %$#@!&! THING OFF?!Now, here's the secret. The little polished joystick-shaped knob on the adapter is the lens release. It only... Be Gradual and Think and this adapter is fine for connecting your 4/3 Camera to Nikon Lens. Be Easy and Think and this adapter is fine for connecting your 4/3 Camera to Nikon Lens.1st reward Nikon lens twist on going counter clockwise. The opposite direction of the 4/3 Camera & Canon Lensmounts.Look at the not enough lever and slide it and watch the little pin retract. You need to hold the slide when you join your Nikon lens. Make sure you line up the dots of the lens and adapter and then present sure the pin clicks into it's hole. I then attach the adapter with the lens attached to the body of my 4/3 Panasonic G2 camera. You will have noauto concentration and the aperture is also manually controlled by the ring on the lens. Just never get impatient and think about the sliding lever and borrow sure you are turning the lens and adapter in the correct direction. Works equitable fine for me. Seeing all of the contrary reviews gave me pause for concern, but I went ahead and ordered this adapter anyway. I'm thrilled I did. The copy that I received was well machined and well finished. It fit my 4/3 body (E-PL1) and 8 different Nikkor handbook focus lenses perfectly. No problems mounting or demounting the Nikkor lenses with the adapter. No excess give. All of my lenses focused at infinity. The only thing that kept me from rating this adapter 5-star is that the national is a smooth gloss finish. It would be a truly excellent product had the manufacturer made the interior with ribbing/matte cease to reduce the chance of flair.

It's reasonable, appears to be solidly built, and works perfectly. What else can be said? trusty adapter for your optics classic! Fotodiox did it again! This T-mount adapter is steadfast and feel professionally fabricated! It fits nicely on my 5D mark ii and has no light leak mess like some of the other available alternative on the market. Unlike the v2 Nikon to EOS mount that I have, this does not have be occupied in between the optics and the camera (that can also be because of the simplistic design of the t-mount themselves).Highly recommended for any photographer and videographer who are planning on resurrecting those old-fogeyish screw mount lenses! metal parts This uses metal parts rather than of plastic, a big plus for the price paid. Otherwise, it's just an ordinary T adapter, which is a good sentiment. |

To the first three cameras I’ve looked at, the XA-3 does not forswear its lens when closed – Olympus was accomplished to keep the measure down without resorting to retracting or folding parts. The built-in comprehend really slides to one side to merrymaking the lens and power up the electronics, and slides closed again to safeguard the lens and swap off the circuitry. It is fully unavoidable revelation, and uses zone focusing – with detents so the spotlight lever stops at the pre-set ranges. The XA-3 however has only 3 cynosure clear zones: The ‘essential’ / neglect zone is 1. The enchiridion advises you to use the ‘far’ zone if you are shooting frigid subjects in modulate unveil situations, and the ‘close to’ zone for shooting nearer......

Help! Nikon camera and lens?
I recently got a Nikon F3 and I was wondering if any one of you could grass on me what kind of lens can I use for this camera.
If anyone could share a link of a web site or place that sells lens for Nikon F3, it would be imposing!
Thanks!
You're fortuitous. This is a great camera. I have one and still use it.
Basically, any manual focus Nikon AI lens can be hand-me-down. Auto-focus or CPU lenses should generally not be used on the F3.

I need to put Canon FD lenses on a 42mm screw mount. Canon made an "Adapter B" for this; where can I buy one?
Canon's old Adapter B is theorized to be able to attach Canon FD manual focus lenses to a 42mm screw mount. This is shown at http://www.cameraquest.com/nikonaf.htmI, but this place does not show where to purchase one. I can't find one for sale anywhere
OK I brook it you've confused me. Canons adapter B enabled M42 screw mount lenses to fit a stab mount camera, you can't do it the other way round (it would move the lens too far away from the film and you would not be able to core on infinity).
How much to sell SLR equipment for? - Please Help.?
Hello Everyone,
I’ve recently perplexed my D40 and kit lens. I have some manual lenses, camera bodies and filters, I’m thinking of selling. Would you be adept to tell me what price I might sell them at? Any help would be much appreciated
It's astounding to me how well Nikon F bodies maintain their value. I mean, I would have spent $200 for only just a body, and yet today 30 yrs later, I'd still have to spend $200 for a body.
Unfortunately, both of your bodies are in poverty of
