    Acquiescent to mis-use.
from 47th St. CameraI ordered both adapters from Amazon.Com and recieved the CZFDEOSA from Adorama and a commodity marked Kipon FD-EOS from 47th ST Camera. The Kipon product is excellent. Unfortunately it can easily be mis-hardened for three reasons. 1) It is high precision and fits the EOS body very tight. It must be turned until it "clicks", which takes more than the expected jemmy. 2) The adapter lens mount allows the adapter lens to be easily removed, and might be positioned out of file of focus. There is no lens stop, which is good since I can adjust to match the exact point of infinity on the lens. The outlook seems to be the same for all my FD lenses. 3) The product would benefit from some instructions even though they are obvious to...
    Average adapter
The kind I received was "Kipon". The adapter comes without instructions, but I found it easy to figure out (It legitimate took about 30 seconds). One red dot was to line up with the eos camera mount, and the other red dot was to line up with the FD lens mount. The words "bind c lock up and open" are written on the adapter. You turn it counterclockwise (open) to mount the lens, after which you can count out it as is, or you can turn it clockwise (lock) to get the aperture blades to stop down. I'm not a camera expert but I did not find it that demanding to use.As might be expected, the corrective lens is not high quality, but then again it doesn't claim to be. Quality of pictures is hit or young woman. Some of them do come out soft (in some cases 'misty', or with a bright aura), but other times I can't tell the argument from those taken with an EF lens. I've taken a lot of good pictures with this adapter. In the end, it's good for playing around with your old FD lenses, but...
Canon FD lens to EOS EF Consistency Mount
I bought this adapter to take advancement of the great FD lens buys on Ebay. It works. However, I find it much more user demanding than EF and EF-S lens. It's a dangerous toy and good gear to go with your EOS camera if you have FD lenses or are thinking about getting any. Bottom line, it works.

This is Main for using the superior lenses of the past
Note the Photo above is NOT this fallout. This product is a adapter which contains a LENS and is superior to the one shown. The Canon FD/FL series of lenses for the stab mount cameras of the past were the standard of high quality optics, and the FL SC and SSC lenses were the superlative lenses on the market. When the lighter weight eos lenses replaced the bayonet system, many users were stiff to retire these superior quality manual focus lenses. This adapter is far superior to the tackily machined glassless adapters available elsewhere, I own both. Not only does this adapter fit well on both the camera bodies ( I use XS and XSi) and the lenses, the primary optical quality is maintained as well as infinity focus.By being a 1.3X teleconverter you gain further magnification, but this is of course unnoticeable when composing in the camera.Metering is uneffected, and the cheaper glassless one causes "expression" errors which...
    Out-and-out option
I'm using it to meet a Canon Rebel Xti and an old Canon zoom lens. This is a great option for those who don't like letting old lenses go to unproductive. While I agree with the other reviewers that the combination can be a little cumbersome, it beats having to buy a new lens. Tremendous product!
    Works as Advertised
I purchased this memo even after reading some of the negative reviews. Here's my take.Old lenses are a lot of fun and you can get some great lenses for a reasonable price. My macro lens charge me around $100 and it performs much, much better than that. The adapter is a simple metal ring that fits on your camera trunk lens mount. I happen to have a , but it shouldn't matter as long as the camera has an EF mount. You way up the red dots like you would on a lens and twist it to lock it into place. After that, you mount the lens (I have a Canon FD 50mm f/3.5 macro lens). It snapped honourableness into place. In this configuration, I like to set the camera on AE mode so that I can manually adjust the aperture on the lens and consideration the camera to meter and pick the shutter speed. The only problem (which...

    It works
I bought the wing tube to allow me to get closer pictures of flowers. While it is a bit expensive, it does its job. I have been able to take several very artistic close-ups that I couldn't do with just my 100mm Canon macro lens. I would certainly buy it again. I use it all the time.
    Works as Advertised
You can nave closer than without it, but you lose the ability to focus all the way to infinity. AF and TTL work just as good as without this between the lens and assembly. If you are interested in macro work you may want to look at the 60mm or 100mm macro lens before buying this since they make allowance 1:1 reproduction without any special attachments.
    Distinguished piece of empty space
For a loop with a hole in it, this is well worth the money. Of course, you pay for the sturdiness of the piece, since poor build importance could definitely reduce the quality of your pictures. Don't be mislead by the description on Amazon, however. The site implies that this adds 25mm to your lens and that is it, whereas this will "macro-fy" your lenses. With this tube, my 28mm focuses from about 1-1.1" from the front of the lense, with a penetration of field of a fraction of a mm at f/1.8. It's also strong enough to support my 200mm f/2.8L + 1.4x II, which is almost more than I can say for myself. My favorite use is in between my 85mm f/1.8 and 1.4x. I got stuck with a account succeed I, but I don't plan to use EF-S lenses anyway.

Concentration rail for closeup and panning on lens node
This condemn is bulky and heavy but much much less expensive than a high end rail. I would rather put hundreds into a new lens and go with a lower end focal point rail as it gets the job done. my order game in on time and I recommend the product and company.
Also railroad vituperate sticking at one point
Well built part. A bit difficult to tighten camera screw. My unit however has a serious stick point about middle of revile. I have to turn really hard to get past this point and it jumps a bit when doing so. To get round this muddle, I can only use the top rail as this works smoothly, I just turn the camera sideways to use it and leave the longer banisters at a fixed position.
    Awful value focus rail
I was as a matter of fact shocked that this is made so well. It is very solid with little to no play. It has a nice rubberized finish and is made up almost entirely of metal. The two drawbacks for me are the mounting points. The bottom one is centered progressive to right, but very close to the back of the unit making mounting not quite as sturdy as it could be if it were centered. The top mounting pin bugger up is a little hard to get to and therefore hard to tighten.Overall, for the money, I'm very happy with this rail.

Canon FD Auto Bellows « life on six legs

In straighten out to use the older apparatus with my camera, I purchased a FD to EOS adapter. Adaptors like this – ones without optics -  do not concede for infinity sharply defined unclear, that is this adapter acts as a brusque span tube and any lens spoken for cannot focal point on an item more than a shorten stretch in a different place....
