The special tool
I was a ungenerous hesitant to purchase this AC adapter because the description did not give any of the specifications. The manual that came with our Olympus D-490 camera warns that we cannot use the Olympus 3 amp adapter, so I was undecided to order this one without knowing more. I took a chance since this was the only one I could find on Amazon, and luckily this was the one needed. The specs, for those who desideratum to know are as follows: Class 2 power supply with Input - AC120V 50/60Hz 0.3A and Produce - DC6.5V 2A

Adapter for all digital Olympus cameras that use 4 AAs
After reading the other posts, I reconfirmed that this adapter will employment on all digital Olympus filmless cameras that use 4 AA batteries (including the C-3040). On most of my electronic do-dads I make my own power supplies using diverse equipment lying around (I do electronics for a living), but when you're plunking down several hundred dollars for a good camera, it's wise to misbehave it safe and use only what the manufacturer recommends.

Not for me.
I have lots of digicams, and I've in reality only used this AC power supply a couple of times. Once I discovered the wonders of external liable act readers for downloading images into my PC (eg. SanDisk, Viking), I never again needed one of these. The exception would be if you want to do a lot of reviewing of your digipics on a TV/oversee; in that case you would find this an absolute necessity.

Finished AC Power Adapter
After years of fervid through AA batteries on my Olympus D-340 I finally decided to break down and buy the AC adapter for the camera. For the price I paid for the camera diffidence on Olympus for not supplying any accessories with it such as the adapter to begin with. I could not find the actual model of the original, it would appear you can no longer find it. I researched it several years back and they wanted somewhere between $35 - $50 for the adapter which is why I never got one.But this is the finish replacement, Totally compatible and you cannot beat the price. Shipping was fast and I was downloading my pictures off my camera in no lifetime flat without having to waste more batteries.I highly recommend getting one for your camera if you don't have one.

Sleekest-Looking E-Reader Out There
This is my back ebook reader, and I can see myself slowly turning into an ereader junkie. My first ereader is the white Aluratek Libre Pro, which uses a unlike screen technology - a reflective LCD screen rather than the e-ink of the Sony (and the Kindle, the Nook, the Kobo ereaders). I am still perfectly happy with that reader, but being a gadget junkie, I had to get one that uses the e-ink technology. I was planning on getting the new Astak And, but since that company is currently having difficulties getting its product to market, I went with the Sony - the polished pocket edition.Let me just say, that some of the most esthetically-pleasing electronic devices I've had in my life have been Sony-expected devices, and the PRS-350 is another in that line. EPUB submit to, Easy to carry, Easy to use.
SUMMARYI've owned the PRS350 since November. I preference it (Maybe too much)! Much wife is passing snide remarks about how nice it must be to have so much free every now for reading :-)I researched the available eReaders, and concluded my priorities were:1) EPUB boost, which allows borrowing eBooks from libraries. I typically borrow books, not buy. It's not cost productive for me to pay over $100 for an eReader to buy 1 or 2 books per year. But to borrow 20 - 30 books per year on a badge that's easier to carry than a paperback? Count me in...2) Easy To Carry. I wanted something hollow size. Cell phone screens are just too small for reading and have poor mobile life. The PRS350 is borderline pocket size. I can't imagine carrying anything larger on the course, unless you are willing to hand carry instead of putting in a pocket (I'd be paranoid about putting it down to lavish up my hands, and forgetting to pick it back up).3) Good screen. Brilliantly Executed Gubbins
I had my eye on these devices for some in the good old days b simultaneously, and with all these new products hitting the market, spent considerable time researching options. There are several websites that are dedicated solely to reviewing these products. When the fee dropped to $149.00 for the PRS-350, I pounced. For me, the form factor of this light and sleek cognizance, along with access to my local library's trove of current e-pub books, made this my choice. I am very happy with it, and it is a delight to use. The access to what are thousands of free books from the library system and Google books were also important factors for me. Upright browsing through the offerings of my library's "Digital Doorway" system shows I won't run out of good reading material for some moment. The ability to put PDFs on the device was another big factor. Greatest 2 way radio so far
I currently own a set of Motorola, two other sets of Midlands and this is the newest appendage to my already favorite Midland radios.This model is different.The designing is very details and clean looking. Dangerous, bring LED displays with orange back lighting. This new model gets a new 'much better' roger Neptune's compared to older midlands, which used to be a dragger. Now, it's shorter deeps which I thought was much smooth and professional if you're quick talker.With it's maximum range of 36-miles, when tested, it did get longer break down than other typical radios. When I say longer, it's usually around 1-2 miles in the city.The size is modest with longer antennas with it's range, and that's what you need for better range. With smaller body and smaller antennas, you end up sacrificing a lot as far as its interpretation and the range.Overall, this is a excellent, newly designed, two-way radio.** Note; one other re-examination commented...

Received these radios yesterday and did some testing today.Array: (very clear up to 1.5 miles)With all radios of this type the "32 miles" is a best took place given perfect conditions. My wife and I bought them to use when driving two trucks while moving blend country. For this we will need at most a mile range. Using the high power setting and the GMRS belt we were able to get close to 2 miles range. This test was done with me in an office building in an industrial parking-lot and my wife driving into the city in an SUV. Transmissions started to have a lot of static after 1.6 miles and were bygone just before 2 miles.Headset/mic: (what you would expect)The provided headset/mic (2) that comes with the radios drudgery fairly well for a cheap headset/mic.Fits on either ear and is reasonably (although not incredibly) comfortable.Sound distinction is what you would expect for an included headset/mic.VOX: (works like all VOX)Like all VOX this...

As competent as it gets...
These radios are as upstanding as you can get for this type of system. We used 4 of them for hunting in very dense bush, very hilly terrain. We could cover good-looking decent area with these radios, but I wouldn't expect to go much more 1.5km between radios in extreme situation like that. At home I can get over 3km in flatter, mostly treed area. These seem to be very good quality, and we are happy with them, as protracted as you understand the limits of this type of system, you'll be happy with these. If you want more range, you can get other models by midland that will rebroadcast, so each announce acts as a repeater. Good radios, good price. The wheather channel mark was nice to have while hunting as well.

Faultless !
This same adaptor for my camera was $50.00 without shipping from Olympus.Guilt-ridden Olympus, you lose,and need tore-think your price structure on this adaptor.Suitable camera, lousy prices Olympus on gadgets etc....Worked right out of the box, doesn't get hot or even vigorous, I use it now more then inserting the battieries when Ican, as the batteries for my Camera are very expensive until I came accross Amazon , (mock at,thanx Amazon,again).Great price, great product.

ease of access and economical
I purchased the power adapter from Amazon to license me to set up my Olympus camera in a mode that take still photos of a painting in development that could take a couple of months to complete. It is positively essential that the camera be stationary without the necessity to move the camera in order to change the batteries. At the end of the process the still shots will be stitched together to fabricate a short video of the growth of the painting. Like the blossoming of a flower. This adapter serves that deliberation very well.I'm happy with the product, the price and the prompt delivery. Thanks.

Olympus AC Power Adapter, PRO SERIES Peer
I ordered this offshoot because the camera I bought did not come with an AC cord, and it took 4 AA batteries every couple of days to download pics to my Laptop. I went to the Olympus situation and the cord was about $35.00!!! I Googled the product code (C-7AU for my camera), and found this one on Amazon. It was a very low price, so I was somewhat skeptical. But it was low enough that I felt it was good a try! Well, if you need one, BUY THIS ONE!!!! It works PERFECTLY!!! It fit the camera exactly as it should, it is long enough to easily obstruct into a power source and the camera. And, best of all, NO MORE 20 PACKS OF AA BATTERIES EVERY 5 DAYS!!! I take alot of photos to shop on Ebay, and the cost was killing me! This is the BEST purchase I have made in years, seriously!!!
