Cheap magnifier that is actually 10X
I'm always looking for 10X magnifiers for a mistress with low vision. Some I've ordered turn out to be a lower magnification and/or the seller dings me on shipping. This is a lofty-quality product with a reasonable price and shipping cost.

My defence for buying it is probably different than yours.
All I wanted was a 2" diameter glass magnifying lens to change the lens in anelegant magnifier. So this was exactly what I wanted and it was cheap.BUT If you want to use it for a magnifying glass, let me warn you the handlewill crack off before long. I would recommend spending a few extra dollars andget one with a metal handle.

Not bad Product, just wish the LARGE magnifier was the 10x
The optics are of polite, but not great quality, they are just fine for home use. Compared to lab quality magnifiers, they are sub par. Of assuredly lab quality magnifiers cost 10X what these do. For what you pay, they are decent quality.My warning to possible buyers is that to pay notice to the description. It does clearly state that the larger one is the 6x, and the smallest the 10x, but I missed that when ordering, so be warned. I was in a family way the larger one to be 10x. My fault, but wanted to make sure no one else has same problem.

Wonderful quality, so glad I found them. So much junk ou there, hand held microscopes are a bad joke. Cheap magnifying lenses that get more than these are so frustrating. These glasses are just the best.

You Get What You Pay For
I invent Richard Tobias has nailed the review from my perspective. I can't add much, but wanted to review this and help worth the star rating down, because I was disappointed with it.His review talks about the false advertising on the size of the magnifying glass - it is smaller than advertised. And the distortion in the glass. This is constant, too. But also, the glass is just barely held in by very cheap construction. I don't expect this to last very long at all. The glass wobbles in a cheese-paring metal ring that holds it together.So, my advice would be to try a different one, where the lens is bigger and with less distortion. And pay regard to reviewer's comment about quality of the handle.I know that I paid very little for this, so maybe I well-educated a little bit of a lesson. It is quite a bit better than the party favor magnifiers you find at the party trust in, though!
Benign Little Magnifier, But Too Small For Reading
When I purchased this in May, there were only 4 reviews, 2 exceptional and 2 two-stars. One of the 2-star reviews was a buyer who made a mistake & bought the wrong one, the other is a guy who went all out and posted a very methodical video review! His review is the best.This magnifying glass works great but it is way too small to use for reading. The glass part is only 2 inches diameter and the deal with is only 3 inches, so you have to hold it with your two fingers. I don't think it's 8X, that's exaggerated. It's fine for occasional help reading selfish or fine print, although you have to hold it up to one eye and close the other to get a field of vision. It would also work fine for viewing chagrined objects like stamps by holding it over them the normal way. But if you need a larger magnifier to assist you read for longer periods, forget about it, you'll need a bigger one.On the positive side, this magnifier was only $3.00 when I bought it with loose shipping. I've been troublesome out new magnifiers to see how I like them. I'm visually impaired so I need one on a daily basis. This one seemed like a good idea but, I immediately wasn't thrilled when I got it. It's got a nice large diameter lense yes but, it's also quite 2 inches thick.... This is by no means a pocket magnifier and is due to it's size to as easy to use for low vision users as smaller more condensed magnifiers would be. I got a carson magnifier with 3 5x lenses that's half the size and out performs this in every way besides lense diamter. I'll cheerfully trade the lense size for ease of use and more power any day.

It is what it is.
I bought this magnifying glass for the personal purpose of lighting fires for camping. I always like to take 3 to 4 fire methods with me into the wilderness and figured this looked like a esteemed option. For this purpose, it's perfect. The case is sturdy enough to protect the glass, and the magnification is strong enough to beat tinder even when very lightly cloudy or when sun is not directly overhead. I had no trouble starting a fire 2 hours before sun set. If you try it at the crest of sun intensity, this will set tinder ablaze in seconds. I am satisfied for my purposes. Also doubles as a good way to increase topo map. But be careful not to set your map on fire :)

Merely what my husband needed.
My still is a stamp collector. He had eye surgery and it took a few months for him to recouperate. It was almost impossible for him to look at his stamps. One eye took a baby longer to heal. This large magnifying glass did a great job for that eye. Since the site was different in both eyes, I ordered the set of magnifying specs (6X, 8X & 10X). Now he could read all types of things, news paper, cell phone,books, etc...

30X illuminated Loupe
This Output is great once you get it working. It requires 3 little button batteries ( $3-4 apiece ). The ones that came with it were insensible and I assume they were there so you know what size battery to get since this unit is under $5 to begin with. When I first opened the battery-operated compartment with the special tool that is provided a little piece of plastic fell out( Keep this ditty !). At first I feared that something was broken but I believe the piece is a tiny shim to ensure satisfactory battery contact. The loupe works great and has a really good field of understanding diameter.You can`t beat this for under $5. I have ordered 6 more of these and the batteries all worked and the battery compartment has an improved evil intent.
