Well, at least I got a refund
I recently ordered this magnifier for my mama and her coin collecting hobby. Sadly, when it showed up, it was not quite what we expected. First up, the unit we received was education exceptional. The light would not turn on...and even smoked a tiny bit when we first powered it up.Second, it was very cheaply made. There were scuffs and scratches around the houses, the batteries would not fit into their compartment properly, and the light was a regular small bulb (not LED, like many magnifiers). In inadequate, this is a very cheaply made unit.
    Unexpected off guard!
I bought this on a whim while buying a connect of those little round coin magnifiers. Once I used this, I threw my new and old little circle magnifiers in the boloney. Great light, larger magnifier surface. Much easier and much better than those little magnifiers for money, stamps, any little treasure.
    Pleasingly
Angelic product.Impressive, excellent large well lighted distortion free field of intent Good light transmission from the sides and top if the batteries go.

    Critical magnifier
I got this to be masterful to read the entries in my compact OED book - it does a great job and is easy to use. The only difficulty is with entries close-fisted the spine as its hard to get the dome far enough over to see the text completely. But for books that lie reasonably flat or maps and the like, this is a lofty magnifier.
    Predetermined optical aid
This is dream for looking in detail at something on the desk. It magnifies to perfection. First saw it on a cruise with RCCL and immediately found it useful (I be in want of specs) Without any aditional reading aids it is perfect. There are many sizes available and I carry a 1" one with me too.It also doubles as a paperweight, but keep it in its take by surprise to prevent any chance of scratching, although it is reasonably resistant, also it doesnt break when you knock it on the deck.
    Magnifier - Dome (Crystalline) (1 3/4"H x 3"Diam)
This work is everything my husband hoped it would be! He loves it! Thanks so much!

    3" Dome Magnifier
Odd product, fantastic price! I work for ophthalmologists that deal with patients with macular degeneration and have increasing trouble with reading. The flat bottom of the dome allows the patients to read without the difficulty of a magnifying glass that has to be moved just so to get the first-rate amount of light. The clear dome allows light from all sides to get in with less effort. Patients who have sampled my appointment dome were amazed and ready to order.
    Dome magnifier
This memorandum is very handy. Images are not distorted and the optics are clear and easily legible. I would purchase this ingredient again. The fact that it is not made of glass is a plus as this material, when made properly, is not subject to chipping or cracking. You get what you pay for, as the cheaper versions can have bitter distortion and are unpleasant to use.
Elevated magnification, scratches easily, glare a pain
As a magnifier - excellent. As a tool - it seems that I get a lot of glare from nearby lights, and I end up moving it quite a bit.As a product - scratches far. I religously keep it in the bag when not in use. the surface seems "soft".I do plan to buy a second, some time soon.
