    Eminent Lens
This hand lens remarkably magnifies X3. It's made of acrylic & is very light. The image is very clear, without distortion. This lens is so well-made that I do not see it any odd from one made of glass. I use it to read small prints & found it after trying & failing with several cheap lenses. I also have a X2 lens from the same proprietorship. It's equally great. Highly recommended, well worth the price.
    Not utilitarian for reading
I bought it in hopes I would be masterly to use it for reading, and the descriptions led me to believe I could do so. However, while it works fine as a magnifying glass, as a reading glass - not practical at all. The main complication is that It's not wide enough to cover the entire width of an average size book. So it has to be constantly on the move back and forth, and of assuredly, down the page. All the movement causes your eyes to constantly be re-focusing and I end up with worse eye strain than I get without the glass. If you use it to skim instructions on pill bottles, etc. it works okay, although I wish it were stronger, but as far as reading books - don't neglect your money.

Low-cost magnifier that is actually 10X
I'm always looking for 10X magnifiers for a bosom buddy with low vision. Some I've ordered turn out to be a lower magnification and/or the seller dings me on shipping. This is a high-frequency-quality product with a reasonable price and shipping cost.
My ratiocinate for buying it is probably different than yours.
All I wanted was a 2" diameter glass magnifying lens to make restitution for the lens in anelegant magnifier. So this was exactly what I wanted and it was cheap.BUT If you want to use it for a magnifying glass, let me warn you the handlewill fragment off before long. I would recommend spending a few extra dollars andget one with a metal handle.
SE 2" 10X Glass Lens Hand Held Magnifier
Artifact is well worth the price. A little small but works well. Glass lens is much better than plastic.

Not at all what was described
Guy Video Review Length:: 0:51 MinsListing said 8x (as did the box it came in) - the magnifier was X.Listing said 2 1/2" diameter - the magnifier was 2" diameter.Listing said utilize was 3 1/2" - the magnifier had a 3" handle. The lens *is* glass and still has more distortion than I've seen in some only-slightly-more-overpriced magnifiers with a plastic lens. The attached video provides an example of the distortion introduced and the sizing issues. (The frustrating message is because I made it with a new video processing package and I'm still waiting for the activation key. I'll fix it as soon as I get the product activated.)BTW, I appear that honest, effective reviews, accompanied by detailed videos, can take the place of first-hand experiences that are often lacking in online shopping. I've always treasured the help I've received from other reviewers and try to return the favor as best as I can. I hope you found this review profitable and...
You Get What You Pay For
I notion of Richard Tobias has nailed the review from my perspective. I can't add much, but wanted to review this and help pressure the star rating down, because I was disappointed with it.His review talks about the false advertising on the size of the magnifying glass - it is smaller than advertised. And the distortion in the glass. This is authentic, too. But also, the glass is just barely held in by very cheap construction. I don't expect this to last very long at all. The glass wobbles in a cheap metal clink that holds it together. So, my advice would be to try a different one, where the lens is bigger and with less distortion. And pay attention to reviewer's remark about quality of the handle.I know that I paid very little for this, so maybe I learned a little bit of a exercise. It is quite a bit better than the party favor magnifiers you find at the party store, though!
Fair Little Magnifier, But Too Small For Reading
When I purchased this in May, there were only 4 reviews, 2 ripsnorting excepting and 2 two-stars. One of the 2-star reviews was a buyer who made a mistake & bought the wrong one, the other is a guy who went all out and posted a very out-and-out video review! His review is the best. This magnifying glass works great but it is way too small to use for reading. The glass part is only 2 inches diameter and the direct is only 3 inches, so you have to hold it with your two fingers. I don't think it's 8X, that's exaggerated. It's fine for occasional help reading uncharitable or fine print, although you have to hold it up to one eye and close the other to get a field of vision. It would also work fine for viewing pint-sized objects like stamps by holding it over them the normal way. But if you need a larger magnifier to advise you read for longer periods, forget about it, you'll need a bigger one.On the positive side, this magnifier was only $3.00 when I bought it with redeem shipping. And mine is...

    Precarious magnifying flass
I like this magnifying glass. It works superior, helps me to read old records for my genealogy research. I only gave it 4 Stars because it would be perfect if it came with watchful cover. As it is, I slip it into a small cotton sock when not in use to protect the lens.

    See a whole new time
I use this for checking gold bars ore samples in the field as well as general looking at the microscopic world. The LED light is great but I did have one question. I left it on and the next time I tried to use it the light would not work.... dead batteries. Unfortunately the batteries bring in near $5 each times 3= $15.All is not lost however. The Rite Aid (Pharmacy) had hearing aid batteries that, while not the same exemplar as the listed required batteries, were the same physical size but were 1.4 volts instead of 1.5. I did not atmosphere that this would be an issue and decided to try it. They worked just fine and were $16 for 24 of them, so about $.67 each. Much raise and I now have 8 changes in case I forget to turn it off again. The replacement type I found was Size 312, hearing aid batteries.
    Delicate bit of kit.
The Carson MM-200 is a remarkable bit of equipment. The size is just slightly larger than what the photo shows on the product messenger. It is TINY!! The product quality, however, is excellent. It has a great LED lamp, and I haven't had it crave enough to comment on the battery life. It is WAY better than the previous ones I have owned with regular not much bulbs which gives everything an orange hue, or the LED ones which are flimsy as heck.I use it for various things: from checking out tight bug-things on plants to fine details on stamps or even just my arm (for a laugh!). It actually is quite versatile and has great magnification! Now for the bad. It is TINY!!! The knobs are a bit fiddly especially when you're using one hand and need to adjust the focus. The other pocket scopes I have tried usually have a larger gripping breadth and larger dials. Hopefully it will loosen up with some use.Other than its size (which I do very much like for convenience, but...
    lots of fun
i literally bought this so i can inspect plant resin on my flowers to see when they are ready to harvest. but i find it's so easy to get carried somewhere else with it. wall's, carpet, leaves, pet fur, sugar on the table, bugs, dirt, lol if it was in my house i inspected it. it's lots of fun. i only urge i could see the air on a microscopic level. but we cant have everything. all in all its a great buy.

    The exact root trick
Well, it's a at one's fingertips little gadget, and the LED light is excellent, and the price is great. BUT - I wish this and most of the other loupes on present would be honest about the magnification. You'd need at least a low-end microscope, maybe a hand-held, to get 20x or 30x magnification. What this thing has, I believe, is 4.47x - rectangular root of 20 - that is, 20x by AREA not by dimension, the standard optical definition of raising. You can easily do a rough check on this: make a short black line on paper, about 1/4 inch want: take good note of how it looks: now look through the loupe: alternate direct view and loupe cityscape. I think you'll find the difference appears to be somewhere in the 4 - 5 times region. Similarly, loupes advertised as 30x are quite 5.57xHence only 3 stars. But I do like it nonetheless!
    nonpareil
I bought this and the 10x/20x combo loupe (no understanding) from the same manufacturer. The combo loupe is a great value - half the price of this one - but I will probably use this most of the but. The lens is bigger in this one, and the two LED illumination is invaluable. The product is not of the highest quality, but the basic purpose is perfect and the price can't be beat. If you are looking for something for daily use that will last for years, this isn't it, but if you are looking for a fully operating tool that you will use occasionally, I recommend without reservation.
    Loopty Do
As an crude botanist, this loop is the best item I carry in my pocket whenever I go into the woods. The addition of a led vacuous adds immeasurably to this small piece.
