magnifier avoid for macular degeneration
I purchased this output for my mother who is 99 years young and has macular degeneration. She used to love to skim till this affliction of her eyes left her unable to read. She has now read two paperback, fictionstories and is starting on her third. This litttle memorandum, the Baush & Lomb Hands free magnifier has helped her tremendously. Vanquish I've seen
I do a lot of knitting and my eyes get all in. I bought two other magnifiers of this type and sent them back because the view through them was horrible. This is truly optical standing material and gives a crystal clear view. I can knit a lot longer without getting eyestrain with this magnifier. Legitimately a quality product and worth every penny!

This cardinal-wearing magnifying glass is loaded with features that make it ideal for a variety of tasks. Use it for artwork, stitching, precision drawing, parts inspection, small repairs, assembly, nature remark or a myriad other projects requiring close inspection. With the front lens, objects will be magnified 2.2. times their manifest size. A second lens set is fixed on a hinge and when it is flipped down objects will appear 3.3 times their existent size. This lens set can be flipped up or down while wearing the magnifier. The acrylic lenses are highly superb for a clear view. Although the magnifier is made of extremely sturdy materials the entire unit weighs only 3.7 ounces. For further solace the velcro headband allows individual adjustment and the lens portion can be swung up or down as the wearer chooses. In in, the hood is designed far enough from the forehead so that glasses can be worn when using the magnifier. The lenses resolution 3-3/8" wide across the front and 1-1/8" high so you get a large field of vision. This is a terrific implement and will make a great addition to your workshop, art studio or for general use at home or work.

Admirable product!
I've tried several peculiar magnifiers, this one is my favorite. The lenses are clear and give a good field of view without a lot of chromatic malfunction. I really like the extra flip down lenses for additional magnification, this is great for airless up work.It is mostly plastic so I don't know how well it will hold up, but at $20 I wasn't expecting it to be too robust. Agreed-upon the price I am very pleased.I am going to order a second one so I can have one at home and one at work.

Impromptu locksmith
I utilized this magnifier to help out an elderly disabled lady who had broken off the key in the switch of her electric scooter. The premium magnification allowed me to lift the rest of the key out by using the sharp points of sewing needles. Until I put the magnifier on I was having straits seeing what I was doing. It was not a huge amount of magnification, but it was definitely enough to get the job done.

The OptiVISOR magnifier features replaceable binocular lenses that have beveled edges that are mounted in an interchangeable cheap frame. An adjustable headband with padded leather comfort band conforms to a medley of head sizes and provides comfort for hours of continuous use. It can be worn over prescription or safe keeping eyeglasses. A durable, plastic visor tips up above the forehead when not in use. Spring-loaded whirl screws hold the headband in a raised or a forward-facing position. The magnifier weighs 0.67 lbs., and comes housed in a jealous shell and carrying case. It has a one-year limited warranty.

Upgrade Instantly to Bionic Eyeballs!
I have owned an OptiVisor for several years. To begin with purchased for work, I bought a second pair for home and have used them for (to name a few) pulling splinters out of the kids fingers, hold back of a problem with my dog's paw, detailed gluing of small project work, removing and assessing a tick, replacing a keep an eye on battery and for making small, detailed measurements. My eyes aren't what they used to be--but with these... they're in the interim much, much better!Others have reviewed the limited depth of field. This is true--you'll need to be close to the conditional on for it to be in focus. Please understand that this is not a fault of the manufacturer but is the way optics perform when designed to work in this make. In my opinion, this limitation makes these an unsuitable solution for reading unless you need weird help and are willing to hold the material very close. I've tried. It's clumsy.Two notes from my years of using this outcome. 1) There are "thumbturn" tighteners...

I been using this artefact for years and years, 1 have 2 broken ones where the plastic hood part cracks and is unrealizable to glue back together.but is light weight and I can wear them all day working on electronic circuit boards.There are many magifications of this work but this one a #5 is just right gives you about 7-8 inches away from work ground
Passable Magnifier but a little pricey
I bought this headband magnifier to be talented to work hands-free on electronic circuitry and small surface mount components. I thought I'd be skilled to use a small soldering iron while wearing the visor, but at the point of good focus there's only about 3 to 4 inches of hole between the lenses and the work. It can still be done, but you have to be careful as you bring the iron in and out of the working view so you don't burn the visor or the lenses.This magnifier is orderly overall. The fit is nice and snug and pretty comfortable to wear for extended time. The lenses are proof quality, although if I had to buy another I'd get a lower magnification than this 3-1/2X. It's very hard to work with items because the focal at long last is under 4 inches. The 2.5X or 2.75X are probably better for getting more working distance. The projection-adjust headband is a nice feature for quickly adjusting to a snug fit, and the side knobs let you change the up/down swing very easily.I also...

It's OK
Some erection is required, but there are no directions. You have to figure it out from the pictures and looking at the pieces you have. But it's mostly assembled. Also, it was a bit "tippy" until I figued out to put the alternate to last "arm" on the glass forward and the last arm heading to the back. (This puts more weight to the front.)

PAID FOR ITSELF IN AN HOUR
I fancy this little helping hand -- can't believe how handy it is. As a jewelry designer, it's a must have for holding jewels while I add parts to it. The adjustable arms work perfectly so that I can customize to the size of the item I'm working on. I have found it reasonable as helpful with necklaces, because of how wide I can adjust the clips. Also, the clips are quite strong, so no time of anything falling off.When it came in the mail, it was totally assembled, however, the nuts were so tight, I had to ask my other half to cut apart them so I can move everything as I need. He fussed at me for spending so much money on another tool. He thought it cost between $30 and $50. He stop fussing when I told him how affordable it was. It is definitely worth the price.In order to keep it from tipping over, I keep the magnifier toward the back to give it command (that's all I use the magnifier for). That gives it enough weight to counter the weight of the jewelry I'm working...
