    Customer Reviews

I am at that age...where I miss a little extra help with the "fine print".
I have been looking for a lamplight weight magnifying necklace for every day needs for some time and I was very pleased with this considering the reasonable cost. The chain is large and light weight. It is made of a simple material and does the job. The optics in the glass is surprisingly sharp for the prize. The bezel is simple. There is nothing that will snag your clothes. On one of the bezels, the tiny screw was a bit loose and the glass level out. I would inspect the fit of the glass in the bezel when you take it out of the package to make sure you do not need to adjust it. A tiny eyeglass lay driver can tighten it. I find this magnifier handy for most "quick reads" of fine print. I am always laying down my "cheaters" somewhere and with this, I can away use the glass and move on. It's handy. I have even worn it out a few times and people compliment me on it as if it is a piece of jewelry and find it "unique". I am please with them and gleeful I purchased one in silver and...
    Poverty-stricken on first use
As someone who wears spectacles for reading, shopping is a huge problem. Glasses on. Glasses off. Glasses on. Glasses off.Spectacles on. Glasses off. It just never ends.I thought this little necklace would be the answer and it could have been, I think, but it was poorly constructed. Hurtful edge on metal housing for the magnifier cut my finger when I put it on. I wore it for about an hour and the chain flat.Get it at the dollar store cheaper and just replace it when it breaks. Not worth spending the unexpectedly and getting it online.
Works well for my officially blind mother-in-law
My innate-in-law is legally blind (completely blind in one eye, fighting macular degeneration in the other). We got one of these for her, and she uses it unceasingly. It's also surprisingly attractive. She is finally able to read the tiny print on packaging at tranquil and at the grocery store. You can't beat this for the price.

    Far melodious than I expected!
This magnifying necklace is a grant for my very short-sighted Nanna, and I'm sure she'll be delighted! The necklace looks well made and very pretty. One thing I was notably pleased with is the chain ... it's not that clear in the picture but it is beaded and just as pretty as the ear-drop itself. Excellent!
    Correct service
I received these necklaces without delay, and even had a thank you note. Being at that "certain age" along with the teeny tiny print on everything nowadays it really comes in adroit when trying to read labels to be wearing this. The magnigying glass isn't too big and guady and it's very cute with everything from tees to dresses.
    Firm and smooth!
So I got this for my grandmother... she liked it alot surprisingly lol. There were no indented edges on where it was assembled. It's bigger than it looks.. both the lense and the chain.

    Guys, it's a Monocle!
I intended this so much! Irrationally so.I bought a monocle because every gentleman needs one, and because they are excellent for conveying surprise (i.e. allowing them to discard out of your eye and fall into your wine glass).Honestly, I wouldn't consider this more than a toy. It is cheaply made, but it is also cheaply priced. I don't read who could say "no" to a three dollar monocle. My friends and I have received far more than three dollars worth of enjoyment from it.In short, if you find yourself wondering "Will this trick allow me to look like a 19th century villain, or perhaps Mr. Peanut, all for a very low cost?" the comeback is an emphatic "Heck yes!" If you are looking for an actual ocular aid, then you should probably get a pair of specs or something.
    Lower five stars.
The lens is very profit. I purchased this in order to have a magnifying lens at hand when I need it. I investigate accidents, so a lens every so often comes in handy. Not very often, but occasionally. This lens is good. The chain that comes with it broke the first interval I wore it, and I replaced it with a leather cord. Now it is perfect for my needs. A pretty good goods, but you need to toss the chain that comes with it.

I ordered the first one for my husband as he does not debilitate glasses but needs magnification for small print. He loves it and wanted some to give as gifts.

    Very fetching
This is a very cute piece and functional. Looks like a necklace and not a functional piece. I very much like it. But it doesn't blow up much.
    Stunning
Benefit every penny. The detail is exquisite and it is just so high quality. Worth much more than the price. This is now my favorite necklace!
    Engaging necklace
I went back and forth on ordering this necklace and am now very favourable that I decided to get it- I wore it the day after I got it! The necklace itself looks like it was made very well- and it is heavy but not overly so. One of my co-workers even thought it was a heirloom- it looks so strict and intricate. To be honest, the copper is a little shiny for my liking but I am sure that over time it will doltish a bit and be a perfect piece of jewelry that will last me a very long time.I did not buy it for the functionality of the magnifying glass- however my husband discovered that the magnifying glass works objectively well and now thinks it is a play-thing (lol)!!

2" Necklace 5x Magnifier with 36" Lustrous Chain
I had one of these magnifiers that I corrupt and have been searching high and low for a replacement. Ta da! A great little piece to hang around your neck if you taking your glasses as much as I do. Real glass, perfect magnification and the price was considerably less than what I have seen else where. A few people ask me if it's a monocle, more populace ask where they can get one.
Balderdash! Without umbrage at, the least treasured of my great many pocket magnifiers!
Madame et monsieur, I must paramount express contrition for my pragmatism, but I hasten to bemoan this simply dreadful pocket magnifier. Among my grand many pocket magnifiers, monocles, and opera glasses, it is my very least treasured. I deigned to purchasing this, for deficiency of better intonation, "economical" pocket magnifier whence I could not locate my favorite: a magnifier forged from the preeminent swiss platinum, hand-ground from glass recovered from the great Swedish warship Vasa, festooned with a chain once draped around the neck of Liliuokalani (the last lord of Hawaii before the United States' forced constitution) and originally commissioned for Albert Edward, Prince of Wales. However, in all my armoires and wardrobes, I could not place my prized magnifier. With my estate's Gala mere days away, I purchased the "SE Necklace Magnifier" in hopes that no one would consideration a different chain adorning my ca. 19th century East Indian silk petticoat. Before I could even...
    Over-nice magnifier for the price
This is positively as pictured -- a nice big magnifier on a nice silver chain. A good lot for the price.

    pewter
I have bad eyesight ( hence the demand for this item!), and thought it was silver. It is pewter. I don't particularly like pewter, but I'll keep it as the raising is so good! It IS kind of pretty!
    Beatiful but DANGEROULY harsh
Wow , What a unsatisfaction....First, let me say that Maxi Aids customer service hours are NOT West Coast warm.I got his for my Mother who had very low vision. The picture in the ad looks great but don't be deceived!!! This Magnifying Necklace is pretty but Chancy! It has SHARP! Prongs and poorly constructed. The first time my Mother wore it it RURINED her clothes. What a fizzle since it is difficult to find lenses that are 5X. When my Mother contacted Maxi Aid, they were not very helpful. My sister also gave one to my Pamper for Christmas and the chain broke, as well as, also having Sharp prongs. Maxi Aids did not long for to stand behind their product. They said it was past the 30 day date of when my sister bought it for my Mom as a Christmas Facility- Unfortunately, my Mother did not want to hurt my sister's feelings by telling her it was defective.- You see, my Mommy had placed this item on her "Wish List". When Maxi Aide refused to tender a...
    Piece-goods e freight magnifier, so-so quality
I bought this necklace to aid in reading insufficient 'tag' numbers at work. I found the 5X magnification very useful, but wearing and using this item daily seemed to take its peal quickly. After only a couple of months the necklace broke off at the decorative filagree. For my purposes, I will need something sturdier. I would say skirt this one in favor of something else if you are planning on using it on a regular basis. The metal is just too soft and malleable.
