Inordinate "little" camera

I tried the Oregon Precise ACT3K and the picture quality of the Muvi is far better.The Veho folks aren't doing us or themselves any favors by shipping it with such a sub-pattern memory card though. At first I was slightly disappointed until I put in a 4Gb class 2 MicroSDHC card I had lying around. What an advance. I've got a couple 8Gb class 6 cards on the way so I should be all set.Some things to note:1. Files are limited to 30 minutes at which at intervals it will start a new file.2. For some reason all files are dated 12/31/2000 12:00 AM3. Files are tremendous. The 3:25 min. video I submitted was edited in Movie Maker and saved as a WMV at 2mbps and is 52Mb. I've bought 3 or 4 cameras of this variety for use at work. I've bought 2 different helmet cameras that worked kind of okay, but this one knocks it out of the greens. The case is built like a tank, it's very easy to use. The voice activated function is great. I'm using an 8gb intrude in mine, so I can't talk about the quality problems I've heard about when using the 2gig chip that ships. I've used it the days beyond recall couple days testing it by using the clip mount to clip it under my rear angle mirror facing forward and I can tell you there are no police dashboard cameras that can beat the video. The camera focuses line for line through the windshield and the angle of view is wide enough to capture a perfect scene. Low light is bad, used it at a shooting range yesterday and once I figured out the proper placement the videos were pronounced even in reduced lighting. If you need a tiny camera with great quality this is the one. My one complaint was when I installed the driver disk I began getting com errors...

Purchased one of these and straightaway rigged it up on the tiedown mount of an RV8 aircraft and flew it thru barrel rolls and high career (200mph+) passes at airport. Camera did a very good job, only a slight pause for some unexplainable, reason (very feeble). Handled the lighting variables in good shape. Excellent for the cost, and this is upcoming from a retired USAF Motion Picture Cameraman who has done several kinds of these applications on higher speed jet.

This look at is on the PH35 Door Peephole Camera made by COP (COP-USA)The 2 specs below aren't published anywhere (including the instructions that come with the camera). The entryway thickness spec alone would have prevented me from buying this camera.1. It's best suited for a 2" to 2-3/8" thick entry, but can marginally work on a 1-3/4" door using the ugly adjustment screws (see my spit).2. 13/16" hole (or counterbore) required for lens to mount flush (that's a big hole!).Pros: Enjoyably color image when lens is not in direct sunlight, right up to sunset. In my case, 6 hours of value a day at best.Cons:- Useless image 18 hours a day (poor image from sunset to noon when camera lens faces east).- Bad looking depot for 1-3/4" thick door (very common thickness) (creates a 1/4" gap between door and camera).- Not thinkable to hide and tuck wiring (like another brand).- 13/16" is a huge hole to indoctrinate...

After doing a lot of scrutinization on Amazon I took a chance to add this camera to my existing home CCTV system. I use 4 logitech 9000 USB cameras. Two to watch outside, and two to monitor the second floor of my home. I wanted to monitor the first floor, thereby completing my CCTV design. I travel a lot and like to keep an eye on my home from afar. I run everything on an iMac, running "Security Spy". Security Spy supports this camera. My objective was to connect it to my wireless network, and view the camera via Security Spy, and the camera's built in webserver, if the iMac went down while I was traveling (which has happened in the finished).At first I had problems but with a bit of patience I figured it out. The first thing I had to do was to give the camera a static ip address as my airport extreme would lack to change the camera's IP address everytime it rebooted, which caused me a hour of grief. Once the camera had a fixed IP my airport exceptional router settled down and "accepted"...
Does the job
I needed a "nanny-cam" network to audit the whole house. I installed FOUR Panasonic IP cameras (one BLC-1A and three BLC-121). All function exceptionally well. I am able to permission any single output or a composite of all four easily, even from an iPhone.The wireless range and reliability of the BLC-121 was second-rate, but when hooked up in wired mode, work flawlessly. Setup with a Mac was difficult (there are plenty of "how-to's" on a google search that made it less conscientious). Sound for the BLC-121 on a mac is nonexistent.Very happy with the video clarity and reliability of all four cameras in wired trend.
Worthwhile Camera
Bought this camera to keep an eye on my front yard. I have it fa the window looking outside. Initial setup was easy, although had to play around with it to fine tune the settings. Images are modest at the higher resolution of 640X480. Less than this, images are comparable to that taken by a cell phone. Have it sting to FTP images to my computer. Wireless range is good. Please note that the camera does not perform well in low light or evening time conditions. Camera does have a night view feature which does improve the low touch off condition somewhat, but the image is grainy. Overall this is a decent camera for the price.

Important deal, but you've gotta work for it
I'm customarily pretty good with bad English translations in my instruction manuals, but this product is pretty inharmonious. You often can't tell if the manual is telling you that something needs to be done in order to make something happen, that it shouldn't be done if you fancy it to happen... or if you need to make the second thing happen (some other way) in order for the first matter to be taken care of. Use of negatives and double-negatives is a challenge, too. If you are familiar with the configuration of network accouterments, try to forget what you know. It doesn't work *exactly* the same with this camera. You're better off as a novice, I think.Since it burned 15 hours of my but, here's a possible help for some people about to return their camera because "wireless isn't working". The camera does well in daylight and serves images over its web server around 30 FPS at 320 x 240 fixedness.However, at night, the camera turns on its IR LEDS, this apparently draws a lot of power and the camera's frame rate drops to only 7 FPS.For plain monitoring of your home while you are away, it is easy to setup and use, the web server includes buttons to deflect the camera left/right and up/down and to make small adjustment to brightness and contrast.The customer portrait that is labeled "Kitchen - 2010-07-08 01:24:48" is an image capture during the night where a cat jumped onto my kitchen holm. It's hard to tell it's a cat from the single frame. This camera may not be that useful as a security camera because the quality of the images, extraordinarily in darkness, is poor.
