I young lady it!
Ive had this camera for 2 years with no problems. I keep it in my prize so that it is always with me. I know that the video has no sound, but its a camera. It takes great pictures and I would buy it again.

No sound is a let-down!
I bought this camera in a dash b/c I needed something for an impromptu trip. The pictures came out beautiful. I didn't know when I bought it that it didn't have ruddy on the video. (Not sure what Nikon's logic is for that). Had I known, I would have purchased something else. I do not recommend this camera b/c there are plenty of other respected cameras out there in the same price range with sound. I paid $125 at Target and I think this dummy may only be available at Target. Look around, you can definitely find something better

Had this Terrifying camera for over 3 years....but
I bought this camera for a misstep to Disneyland in early 2009. It has been used heavily. It took awesome pics, I would uphold it a lot of times instead of my Canon DSLR. I was disappointed that there was no sound for the video but please...for 120.00? Formidable CAMERA! I suddenly got a lens error with an exclaimation point and I tried cleaning the lens and blowing it with air but it won't line :( I am pretty upset because I think it finally bit the "dust" I would still buy this exact camera again today I LOVED IT!

EVA Hard Shell Carrying Case (Black) with Memory Foam for Nikon ...
Bought this along with a new Nikon Coolpix S8100. The camera is too eat one's heart out for the suitcase and won’t sit all the way down into it, and the velcro strap no more than gets around the camera. I’m not steady how the Coolpix S8000 would fit, don’t grasp if it’s any smaller than the 8100. The package is TOO Little for the Nikon S8100. Technically, the camera “frenzy”, provided you are agreeable to “squish” the Nikon S8100 camera a tad bit…. The inner attach strap does not fit around the Nikon S8100 because the camera is too unrestrained b generally. Although the the truth contains a puny lining for an accessory recall whittle or mobile, you CANNOT rigorous the state if you add a morsel or mobile along with the camera. Don’t get me dreadful, the instance is brief, burly and unhurried to succeed but the fight is the what really happened IS NOT made for the Nikon S8100....

I've been taxing to do this for a few days now. I first tried to figure it out on my own, then referred to the user's manual. The manual gave no advise: it merely indicates that a certain symbol means that the option is turned on. I difficulty to know
Are you truly sure you want an ugly time stamp on your photos?
Do you realize that every camera records the EXIF info along with every photo? There are many ways of looking up that message, so you'll always know the date/time and many more

1. Circle on the camera
2. Turn the mode dial to SETUP
3. Scroll down to "Date Imprint' with the multiselector handle
4. Press the multiselector button to the right
5. Use the multiselector button to select "Off"
