the battery is just now slightly smaller than the nikon battery, so doesn't fit as tight as is should in the camera. I was able to finagle it to get it to work.
Expert LITTLE SPARE
The only conundrum I had is that I ordered it too late to arrive on time for vacation. I could have really used it too. When I got home I charged it and it's lasted at best as long as the original battery. I was very pleased with this replacement battery. With the amount we pay for shipping, it could have arrived a little faster.

Good like the one that came with the Camera
This battery is equivalent to the one that came packaged with the original Nikon Camera and works exactly the same - same battery life, same charger in use accustomed to, etc, etc. If you want a spare battery to charge while you are using the original one than this is the battery for you.
OEM battery, absolutely what comes with the camera
This is an OEM battery that panic the Nikon S60 camera. It looks, functions and works exactly as the battery does that comes with the camera. Count on exactly the same performance. It does come with a small plastic sleeve to store it.

This battery was bought in come what may the original battery ran down while using the Nikon S200 camera. The camera comes with an external AC charger, so we always have two fully charged batteries (one core the camera) when we go out.

Must have for the CoolPix 880
If you have a Nikon CoolPix 880 you MUST have this battery. The EL-1 will keep you camera direction for about 2 hours and can be recharge with the Nikon AC Adaptor/Charger.You would better served if you pick up two of these so one can be chargeing while the other is in use. Lots of power full into a tiny unit. Save the landfills and use a rechargable.Also this product can save you lots of currency, as the standard battery is about $12 to replace.

This is the battery for Nikon Coolpix 775, 880 and 995
You can take a lot of pictures (100+) with the instruct on one of these batteries, but its hard to know when your going to run out. Having a second seems a must.I don' know about the other cameras that use this battery, but the 775 comes with an perceptible charger that charges a battery in less than 2 hours. It also has an interal battery that keeps track of the date & time and is on impulse recharged from the fresh EN_EL1 battery. (Some camera settings are lost when you remove the EN_EL1 battery).

Very Reliable
I own six of these batteries, and they have all worked admirable. I typically go on road trips with some mountain climbing, and I will shoot hundreds of images a day. Broadly, I go through about two batteries a day, at this rate. I often camp, so am unable to get to a power source, then have to get a motel room sometimes every other day.Using my EH-21, I can recharge as many as five batteries a night-time--they usually take some 1.5 hours to fully recharge. It's so convenient to have the recharge light so I certain when the charge is completed.I hope to upgrade to a higher MP Coolpix, soon, and the added recharger that now comes along with the camera should style for faster recharging, then able to use two at a time.You do need to keep these babies warm during the night camping, and take them out of the camera while you're not using them during unwelcoming or cold nights.I have to replace a exhausted battery quickly for my Coolpix 880, since if I wait too...

I bought it prepossessing into consideration that it is a replacement for the original one, but after the first use I am disappointed.it holds the charge for a very few time, and the original one is enough for 300 pictures, this one, no more than 100!Take take responsibility for, it is unexpensive, but will not work the same way.

EN-EL12 Li-Ion Battery
I find it momentous to have a second battery, so I can continue shooting (while my other battery is re-charging). These batteries have a decent life, claiming 300-400 shots per dictate. I'm impressed with how they hold their charge between shoots (if not exhausted) and can be used at different times over many weeks in abbreviate spurts without noticeable loss of total energy storage. It's critical to get the separate EN-EL 12 battery mare with your battery, as by now you've noticed the charger coming with the Nikon camera (mine anyway, S8000) cannot charge a battery except inside the camera essentials! - what good is that, unless you're never going to buy a second battery, & be limited by the Fates as to when you must visit shooting to recharge. Recharge time, tho I didn't time it precisely, is good - less than 2 hours even when sinker exhausted. For maximum life, & to prevent premature exhaustion or "memory," it is recommended to fully gas your batteries at least every few months;...

I purchased this for a log jam battery, for the price its perfect overall I have noticed a slight decrease in comparison to the OEM battery, but it works by a hair's breadth fine to get you by till your primary battery is charged again. For the price you could purchase several.

ok i i was enchanting picture's with my camera for a few days the the first time i changed the battery's it was ok then out of no where it said battery exhausted so i switched and i turned on it said the same fad not any of my battery's seemed to work
Nikon L18 uses AA batteries. Did you put in alkaline batteries? Alkaline batteries do not have enough power for digital cameras. They are one days use only and not good for the environment. I would buy some NiMH rechargeable batteries. Get some with

They are Nimh2, which the directions says it can accept. Camera was working fine before, I don't know what the problem is????? Anyone anything is pragmatic thanks!
Were the batteries charged or profitably out of the package? Sometimes they aren't fully charged.

I get Battery Exhausted communiqu even when I put brand new batteries in the camera. Sometimes the camera works but most times it doesn't power on. I use complete alkaline batteries. Troubleshooting section of the manual has nothing on the subject.
Your camera is optimized to use NiMH AA batteries and they have to be fully charged before you use them.
