Nikon s1000pj vs. s1100pj
I was absolutely excited to see a camera with a built in projector and first saw the older S1000 on Amazon for half penalty of the newer s1100pj.I first bought the newer camera because it has a brighter Projector up to 14 lumis compared to up to 10 lumis of touch off projection on the older camera.I also liked the newer features such as Fisheye effect and 720p aged difinition video recording.When amazon dropped the the price on the older camera s1000pj ($129.00) I indisputable to buy it and compare it to the newer version s1100pj and here are the results.The newer camera sucks at $309.00.First of all I had bother getting the touch screen to respond when looking at my photos. The projector brightness doesn't look outdo then the older camera.The 3 inch view screen on the new camera remains on when projecting which is very maddening. The only way to shut off the viewer screen on the camera is when using the remote control.The fisheye impact is not fisheye at...
Complete gadget for any geek
I have owned Nikon SLRs and own a Nikon D-SLR and wanted a smaller camera to take on shorter proprietorship trips and into places where SLRs camera are not always convenient or allowed. I had seen the videos/promos for this camera and wanted this before it even came out. I ordered via OneCall (one of Amazon's partners) on the first day it was at and so far I'm impressed. The touch screen works really well, menus are very obvious, picture prominence is very acceptable for a point-and-shoot, video quality is very nice, battery life is pleasing (I ordered a spare battery as I have a history of taking many photos) and of course there is the projector, which most of you need to know about. In daylight it works well on a 8x11 size background from 1 to 2 feet away. Anything further away or colored experience are not ideal in daylight. In a darker to dark room, you can actually go quite big, much bigger compared to stated, with economical quality. Obviously, the closer to the wall, the better...

Not bad for a camera + projector for the quotation
The projector is 14 lumens but is not as substantial or as big a pk102 which is 11 lumens. Connecting it to a PC requires installing a software using a CD they take care of. The projection lags a lot on a netbook. You have to switch the settings of the camera every time you want to shift from uploading photos to computer and using the computer as a projector. The whole camera is pretty big in size compared to periodic digital cameras but can't complain on a device with a built-in projector. The camera has some pretty complicated features, though some requires the user manual to help you find out what they do. The flash is very powerful and there is a touch to meet/exposure on taking pictures. Not on video though, unfortunately. The touch screen sometimes lags a meagre and requires more pressure than smartphones such as the iPhone. Overall, not bad.

Why didn't they reckon of this before?
I even-handed got this great, new camera from Nikon and it has been just great. This falls into the category of "what will they think of next?" The camera itself is a dependable performer for a point and shoot with a slightly better than average 5x zoom which is great for a spur & shoot model. Of course, the projector is the "WOW!" factor. No more squeezing around the display on the back to show your friends the photos. The projector is a fantabulous way to share your images. The image quality is not as high as the LCD display, but fine for quick showings.As an performer, I will use this camera to shoot new subjects, then project them onto a canvas so I can transfer the compositions into a painting.Be tried to order the larger Nikon case since the other "S" cases are too small for this model.

I concur with the other 5 important reviews. It is for small groups of 4-5 viewers. It is not as bright as the big boy 2000 lumen, but not that within its limits. I am also a hobby artist, with the projector I can store comps, project, and rough out heritage art. This alone makes it worth the purchase. The innards are state-of-the-art, as good as any other 12meg pix P&S. There is a lot of undiscovered potential lurking within. One liability is that the only input to the projector is via the camera. somewhere, somebody will hack the file format on the SD card so you can pack your other pictures for projection. I'll then give it 6 stars.Update: here is a software that converts jpeg from other sources to Nikon coolpix s1000pj style that can be saved on SD card and viewed with the built in projector. Photos aren't loud enough for a product this expensive
I got this camera for Christmas, so I've been using it for 2+ weeks. Yes, the projector is very chilling. And the wideness of the lens is great. The flash recharges fairly quickly. But the photos I've charmed with it aren't as sharp as those from the Casio Exilim camera I got 3 years ago. And at the end of the day for me, sharp photos are more superior than bells and whistles. Also, the lens is in the upper right corner of the camera instead of obsolete center which is where the projector is (a strange design choice), so you have to be careful how you hold it so you don't get the edge of your make a move in the image. The flash is very bright, so you can't be too close to your subject when using it -- it washes out the typical example. And because the lens is so wide, I did find myself getting closer to my subjects. So unless you have some urgent need for the projector participate, I can't recommend this camera, especially given how expensive it is. I've gone back to using my Casio camera...which is...

Tremendous product
The FlexArmor camera protection is just what I needed to protect our Nikon P-500. It fits like a glove and appears well made. Does not fit Lumix FZ150
I ordered this after speaking to an Amazon bloke service person about problems I was having with the original Panasonic USB cable. He told me this would vocation with the FZ150, but it doesn't. It doesn't fit the socket. I bought another product on Amazon that works very: "Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 USB Cable - USB Computer Cord for Lumix DMC-FZ150." It's better than the actual cable.Hard to rate a product I couldn't use, but it was supposed to work with the FZ150 and it doesn't.

The subhead of the tripod should not have the word professional in it! I just received the tripod yesterday and had my Nikon D700 on it for only ten minutes when the top part of the tripod snapped off due to the worth of my camera (less than 7 lbs. mind you w/lens). If it's a professional tripod, it should be able to hold a adept camera. For someone who is a beginner and has a smaller/lighter DSLR and not a heavy lens, this would be sufficient. But my person flashed before my eyes when I saw my camera snap right off, luckily no damage was done but I'm not willing to take that endanger again. Good for amateurs, misleading title. Price is right for what it offers. I should have known improve.

This tripod is sturdier than I had outstanding for its price. It extends to well above my chin height, and is easy to manipulate and carry. Nice output, would recommend!
