Capacious buy for the money
Justifiable used this housing for my Nikon Coolpix s6000 on a Caribbean trip. It's easy to place the camera into the housing, and it seems like it would fit most disconcerted point-and-shoots. The clear portion of the housing is a thick, pliable plastic that allows you to push the shutter knob pretty easily. I was also able to operate a few menu controls on the back of the camera, to switch to video for exemplar. It took good pictures snorkeling at shallow depths; the package said it's palatable to 30 feet, but I didn't go to that depth. No leaks, though. One criticism: I had to turn off the flash, because the scoot reflects off the plastic housing and fogs the picture. But at shallow depths, the flash wasn't as significant. Much better than disposables, particular for the money.

Works very orderly in my Nikon S4100 we just arrived from vacations and the pictures came out very good I,ll recommend this upshot, like others buyers said do not use flash and you can not soon but the rest works perfect not damp filtrations at all. Do not buy those water cameras not good and expensive.

Too foolish for the Nikon L22, but great for a Canon Powershot
We got this for our Nikon L22 - it was a scarcely too snug for that camera. However, we put an old Canon Powershot in it and it worked great! We got a lot of great pictures while snorkeling during our honeymoon. One counsel - make sure your flash is off. The pictures are a lot clearer with the flash off.

I've been looking at waterproof and fibrous camera for over a year now... and I eventually chose this one!About me: I'm a techie, over 20 years in photography (started at daybreak), played with very many DSLR and compact cameras. Wonderful Camera for Open-air Use
I have had this camera a few existence now and have been very impressed with the tests I've put it through thus far. This camera does everything Nikon says it will and does them all wonderfully.Overall BuildThis is a secondary camera in your hands which is a good and bad thing. It's great because it means it's easy to slip in your pants or shirt rip off and always keep with you. It weighs little enough that you hardly notice it's there. I see where some people could see this as an issue because the buttons on it are very small in purchase order to have the back LCD as large as possible. It does not feel cheap even though it's made out of plastic and although I don't plan on doing a fall test, I am confident it would survive a drop from chest high.Picture QualityWith an 8GB SD press card I don't see a reason to shoot at any other setting than the highest resolution, so all my playing around with it was done at this setting. I be inclined to replace my point-n-shoot about every 3 years. I normally shoot a Nikon D90 but last year upgraded to a D7000.[UPDATE Feb 2012] The original camera was replaced by Nikon since it ruined on the 2nd use in water. This one worked through our Caribbean holiday for 4 full days before it started overheating and would not shut off. It stayed on until the battery-operated drained. Leaving it "sit overnight" and then removing and recharging the battery got it working again, however I could feel the warmth the longer it was in use.The disappointing thing is this camera takes such great photos and now that we got it to work underwater, we be informed it takes fairly good underwater photos and video. But there's something wrong with either its design or the manufactured amount that we received. Had it too long to return to Amazon for a refund, so I'm probably going to send it a 2nd perpetually back to Nikon. Horrible weather cover if bought at right price
I did not buy this jotting from Amazon. I bought it from another source for $19.95 including shipping. At that price it's a great value as a withstand cover for my Nikon D90 which is why I bought it.The camera fits easily into the case with a Nikon 18-105mm lense set at 18mm. The lense could perchance be extended to as much as 55mm but it is difficult to change the focal length once the camera is in the case.The camera viewfinder is unquestionably accessed and usable and the soft material allows most of the controls to be accessed and adjusted. However, use of the knee-jerk setting eliminates the hassle of setting shutter speed and aperatures which can be done but it's a slow development. For best results, the neckstrap should be removed from the camera but if it is not, it should be folded and tucked underneath the camera to keep it from obstructing the viewfinder or camera button buttons.While I did not buy it as an underwater case, the manufacturer says can be...

Camera shelter
Unfortunately had to gain this item as the lens compartment was too short and the lens covering caused the pictures to be faint as I was not using it underwater, just as a protective cover while kayaking. I think it is a good output for the money, just not what I needed.
