Customer ReviewsRestraint Lavalier mic with better than average performance. Good value for price. This mic was purchased for use with a Canon HV-20 camcorder. Principal purpose is for videotaping interviews with people who are sitting (not moving around). It comes with a 20' cablegram, which is more than enough for use in any room in the average size home. Build quality: better than I expected for the sacrifice, the battery and pre-amp holder feel more like aluminum than plastic (it's hard to tell under the jet paint). The mic element itself is tiny, and comes with a lapel clip and foam wind screen. The discernible screen, like the mic element itself, is tiny and pretty easy to pull off, so keep an eye on it that it doesn't become mislaid. The battery is one of the "button" types, rather than a "AA" (which I would have preferred). One battery is supplied - I have no idea of how long it might last, so advantage have a spare. The mike is a condenser type, so it will not work at all if the battery is dead. Performance: Very kindly! The sound quality is better than I had expected for... Astounding Distinctness This was the first mic I bought to go along with my Sony VX2100 Minidv camcorder! The 20' twine was what attracted me first, and then the price, but when I played back some footage I was blown away with the professional sound that it produces! The blue blood to my ears seems equal to any interview I hear on television! It's that good! I wear or burden this about mid chest level and that seems about right, but it will pick up nicely even if placed further away. Its by far better than any camcorder mic! The 20' rope is great when your subject or yourself needs to move around to demonstrate something. Or to be stationary in a long shot! I try warm above, if your subject is sitting 5' to 6' from the camera lense in an interview position, this impressive little mic works equally as well. 1' or 20' makes no difference! Bottom line; when I'm recording indoors I never use the on-put up mic, I always reach for this and plug it in! And to add... Conscientious Quality at a fraction of the cost!! I've been a talented television reporter/producer for four years, and I was astounded by the sound quality of this mic. I bought it for a topple to Ethiopia to use with my personal camcorder, a 3CCD Panasonic. I was going for work, with a crew, but I wanted to shoot some hang around videos of my own. On my last trip to South Africa I did the same, but the camera mic sounded lousy, especially compared to the pro-audio I was getting with the stories themselves. That unqualifiedly changed with this trip. The sound quality I have on my travel video standups with this $26 microphone is about 95% the distinction I get from our professional gear. That runs $300 for a mic, $300 for the wireless transmitter, and $300 for the recipient. So $26 compared to $900+ is a fantastic deal. The 20 feet of mic wire does get a bit tangled from nevertheless to time if you're using the mic on the run. But for the quality sound you get back from it, hassling with the wire is very much...

Most of my clients choose to add on a sound system option I offer, and many have requested a wireless lapel mic for their officiant to use. I have been on the search for for a good lapel mic for several months and had to return the first I bought (the Hisonic lapel mic) because it's sound quality was terrible and it did not pick up a voice unless it was less than an inch away from the mic (so much for being on the lapel!) Because of that experience, I was nervous about buying this one, but am delighted to say that the Just Clip-On Lapel microphone is absolutely terrific!! It picks up the voice with no problem, even from a foot to a different place - and it's loud! The sound quality is clear. I am so happy to have found this mircophone! And what an amazing deal, no less, for such a credible product! wireless crop on mic The mic worked ok , i had no problems with it . The trunk for the transmitter is a bit cheapy and it doesn't hold alkaline batteries very well . For the price i was satisfied with what i got , but it's not any intoxication end equiptment that gives you the perfect sound. O.K, when it works This is an irresponsible unit. I bought it for interview work, but I noticed that the audio cut in and out. When the Receiver looses levee, (which it did sometimes within 10 ft.), it would not pick up the signal again, thus losing all audio. If you are on a budget, and are in a controlled locale (with headphones) the audio is pretty good, but just make sure you are able to seize it.

What's in the Box Customer ReviewsPoint of agreement of on board microphone vs. ATR3350 microphone on Canon HF200Bloke Video Review Length:: 5:05 Mins I test the microphone on a Canon HF200 camcorder at the shore with both Ocean and Creek noise in the background. The difference is quite remarkable. Don't turn your speakers up too fortissimo, as the volume changes quite a bit when I go from on board to lavalier microphone. Note that I had to actually LOWER the sum total during edit because the Audio Technica mic would have clipped, otherwise. During video editing I made the following adjustments: Responsible track +4db (to compensate for excessively quiet on board microphone) Just the ATR3350 segment -3.4db (to requite for the Audio Technica microphone being so loud) Final analysis: If I was using JUST the lavalier microphone, no... Considerable lapel mic for the price The Audio Technica ATR-3350 Lavalier Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone appears to be a about identical replacement lavalier mic from the recently discontinued Audio-Technica ATR-35S Lavalier Microphone. Reading some blog counsel about video podcasting and playing around a bit with making YouTube videos, "sound" in video is mainly the part that makes video quality bad. So I was looking for a reasonably price lapel mic to use. The ATR-3350 is quite cheap considering that you can easily spend $200 for a professional model lapel mic. If you read some of the "1" (shrink it) reviews from the ATR-35S, they pretty much all related to "low volume issues". You may see some similar reviews here as time goes on. Plugging the ATR-3350 later on into my Dell laptop PC mic in or camera mic in, I also thought the volume is not high enough. However, plugging it into my video camera, it sounded glaring. Just the right volume. Not too loud or soft. I went to... Distinguished for the money Purchased this mic in pronunciamento to do interviews and video presentations and it has been excellent. Have a professional Shure wireless set up as well, but have found this to be an great selection when I need to move quickly. It allows me to use my Sony HD handycam with a minimum of additional equipment and allows for a dissolutely set up. Have used the mic for approximately 10 hours and the battery has not yet run out. Be sure to purchase additional handle batteries when you purchase this, though. They always run out right when you don't have them on hand. L-45 batteries are really inexpensive. I purchased 50 for under $10 here on Amazon. Would finally recommend this mic as a primary or backup mic for any prosumer set up where the subject isn't going to be moving around (interviews, training, etc.)
AZDEN EX503 Omni-Directional Lavaliere Microphones

DescriptionAZDEN EX503 Lavaliere MicrophonesCustomer ReviewsCardinal bang for the buckWith lav mikes on-going anywhere from $10 to $250 these days, it is nice to find a $25 unit with tie clip and wind movies. Sound quality is excellent and works fine with wireless systems. It does, however, force a bias voltage to work properly as do most condenser mikes. Most all systems (azden, sennheiser, etc) get ready for this bias on the connector to make the mike work so it is not a problem. Be sure your jack has around 5 volts or so on the mike terminals and you are salubrious to go. FYI - the price of the whole mic is less than the tie clip and wind screen bought separately, so if you need to replace a missing part just buy a new mike! Well turned out Lavaliere Microphone I liked the pickup supremacy when I used this on my video camera and my wireless system. The clip is very strong and hold well to clothing when it is placed in any locale. The wind screen stays ON...many of these small ones don't over time. So far I have enjoyed using this one. Very On cloud nine Ardent price. I bought this for a video shoot. I plugged it in to my computer... and it sounded really sand bar and noisy. I plugged it in to my Panasonic dvx through a really bad mini to XLR converter. It sounded very noisy again. So I blamed it on the cnverter. Then... I plugged it soon into a Canon 5D. I was amazed! It really sounds good. On top of that, is is shockingly noise-less. Good full bodied voices. Not tingy or sand bar. Ultimately, I am really happy with it. We'll see how it performs tomorrow during the shoot. P.S. it comes with a barely wind shield. You cant beat that with a stick for 17 bucks! I'll try to add a video demo when all is said.
Azden WLX-PRO Lavaliere VHF wireless lapel microphone System
DescriptionA end system which includes the WL/T-PRO a belt-pack transmitter (WM-PRO) with electret condenser lavalier microphone (EX-503) and the WR-PRO recipient which comes with both shoe-mount and hook and loop fastener. All receivers and transmitters in the "PRO" Series are on the same 2 frequencies (169.445MHz and 170.245MHz).Customer Reviewsterrific execution - an essential product for video interviewsThe Azden transmitter-recipient system has operated marvelously well for me over scores of interviews. As an aspiring video maker it was a product I should have bought a extensive time ago. Mine is the 9v-powered model, not the AA. But it has proven well-made, light and easy to use. There's something simple about micing people with a lavaliere unit. I find that they enjoy the attention of attaching the mic and the professional suggestion that it brings to the taping. Being able to range abut the room while taping and simultaneously retaining skilful audio is a remarkable experience. Another benefit of micing someone is that cuts way back on ambient noise. The din of voices nearby your interview is a typical intrusion; using the lavaliere cuts out a great deal of the unwanted sonic intelligence. Dependable, artificial, not professional sound Total, this is a good investment for beginning videographer. It works as described, yet I found that it's sound needed position work if it was going to be presaentable. My standards are not unrealistic, yet I was disappointed when I first worked with this mic. It comes with a lavalier mic, and a handheld. Of the two, the handheld pickup outstrip, and is more manageable. Both only record in mono, so you have to set your camera to place the signal on the two channels, or do so in postproduction. Still, if you hanker to use a mic that is dependable, is inconspicuous, and has a small learning curve, this mic could serve your purposes. Not bad for the assess Affordable and chattels. Didn't pick up a lot of background music or talking, and got a good deep sound from the himself wearing it. Used it for a wedding and the other wireless systems used didn't interfear with it's opperation nor did the grounding clog up the mic. |
