Reasonably Immaculate Price
My beginning thoughts were this is too expensive but when you consider the quality bag and a Canon battery, the price starts to become sober. The bag is a high quality bag and, in an effort to give you an idea of what it can hold I will describe one load. Digital Recusant with attached lense Film based EOS without attached lense two extra lenses one flash unit owners manuals give up batteries and charger extra memory cards and filters cables, help and shoulder straps And it still had additional room for more gadgets and toys. It does have tripod loops which I don't use. As far as the Canon freestyle, I've read that other brand batteries aren't anywhere near as good so getting a genuine Canon mobile is good ... I guess ... Immense Camera Bag though Designer Missed One Feature
I am very in seventh heaven with the 200DG camera bag. I bought this for my new Canon 350D Digital Rebel XT. My only complaint is there are no provisions to sack the tripod straps when you are not using them. You end up sitting the bag down of the straps and they get in the way. I had conidered removing the straps but I would like to have them for when I AM shipping the tripod. Great job Canon but just one thought away from excellance.

A - pleasantly starter package, but not perfect.
I only recently purchased a Rebel XTi and needed a case to carry it in. After seeing this package it seemed like the best starter kit - a battery, bag and filter. With the cost of the items separately, the starter kit is definitely the way to go. The battery-operated is the same as the one that comes with the camera (NB-2LH) - I always like to have a spare and this worked out perfectly since I just purchased the XT/XTi battery-operated grip which holds 2 batteries. I can't comment on the filter since I havent tried it out yet, but it fits the kit lens flawlessly. The bag itself is nice. It's a decent sized bag with a large amount of storage pouches throughout (zipper pouches on the front, formerly larboard, right and inside), I was a bit disappointing to see that the top of the case actually seals via velcro though (instead of a zipper) - not a big grumble but I thought it was worth mentioning. It does appear to be create a nice seal so I'm not too distraught about dust or other unwanted...

works incredible with canon digital cameras, pictures are better than built in flash, nice price and features, tilts, swivles has spark guard/cover comes with base accessory and carrying case that holds all you essential. does not come with 4 AA batteries which is required to use the flash. the 4 AA batts. last approx. 2000 flashs enthusiastically recommend

No complaints, does the job
I'm not a camera wizard, but I was looking for something better than the built-in flash on my Canon XTi. Particularly I was looking for something that would work healthier with my EF-S fish-eye lens. The throw is too short for the built-in flash in that it creates a shadow for cramped-in pictures. The EF-500 eliminated that problem on all but the closest shots. My only gripe is that I don't like the mount much. My last Canon dash fit neatly in the mount and had a lock button. The lens has a friction wheel that you twist to tighten. It's ethical not as easily removed, although it probably holds it on more tightly.
