Overwhelming Picture Speed, HD Movie Taking and Crystal Clear Pics
I wanted a teeny point & shoot camera that would be easy to take with me, that had a great optical zoom, that took HD pictures and most importantly could take quick pictures. I tried out many cameras in stores before finding this one and so far have been very, very pleased. I am able to at once capture my kids smiles and the pictures are super clear. Plus, you are able to zoom while in talking picture mode. The 7x optical zoom is fantastic. I love that I can touch up photos perfect on the camera and right from the get go the camera was easy to use. I find that the buttons are set up very well in a user friendly manner.

Another wonderful camera from Nikon!
This is my third in the Nikon Coolpix underline, and I love it just as much as my previous ones! If you're a fan of any Nikon Coolpix, this will certainly be something you like! My only disappointment is that there isn't a "Sports" surroundings anymore, which was something I used a lot on my older models. However, the camera takes such fast pictures that it hasn't honestly become a problem as of yet. Battery life is good... haven't taken the time to see how many pictures it has per do battle with, but it's held up through at least 200 pictures at a graduation I went to recently without any battery indications. The charger is numerous than previous the Nikon Coolpix cameras I've owned, as it plugs directly into the camera as opposed to having to dismiss the battery. I'm not sure whether I like this, because the AC OUT cover is kind of stubborn to come out. Again, it's nothing that's become a problem. The HD flick picture show is pretty cool. I haven't recording much...

This camera rocks! The pictures are so semiprecious stone clear that it is like looking at them in person! I also like the 7x optical zoom, which you are able to use during video recording. It has indulgent buttons to operate and there are tons of options to play with and very user friendly. It also takes thick as thieves-up pictures up to 3mm that are NOT blurry! It has lots of options to have automatically set and very easy to switch to when chanigng scenery or from picturization to landscape. It also has the option of choosing one of your own pics as a screen saver every time you turn on the camera. I like that I can transformation colors of photos (i.e. black & white, sepia) with the press of a button or use the "vivid go red" option. It has a great stabilizer and facial recognition software to remove red eye, tell you when someone has blinked in a pic or can soften bark in a photo. I also have a Fuji Finepix SLR camera, but wanted a smaller point and shoot camera for my honeymoon to Alaska this summmer and I am psyched...

The best features, price and quality photographs!
I recently position the Nikon Coolpix L20 after lots of shopping. I have used only Olympus cameras only up to now. This time I wanted a smaller pit sized camera, that still took the AA batteries, and that still gave great photos with all the features I was hand-me-down to. This camera fit the bill! It takes 2 AA batteries, inexpensive SD memory cards and yet still delivers weird photos. I have already tried all the features, and was completly happy. I love using the various scene settings, and could not live without the video feature. Both still and video capture worked well in both unclouded light and low light. The sound playback via the camera is hard to distinquish (contemporary music), but fine once uploaded. I didn't really require the smile feature, but tried it out on my 3 year old, and was blown in another place....it really works! The blink feature is also quite ingenious. The camera really...

This is a knowledgeable camera capable of crystal clear prints worthy of publication or gallery ostentation, up to 16x20. And it is incredibly inexpensive for a camera of such value. Ok, so its 3.6 optical zoom won't pick sand off an eagle's beak at a thousand yards. Okay, so it won't wallop up to billboard size without loss of definition. In the real world however and everyday use this is a fine and dab hand level camera that will do a far better job than you expected. Better than a cell-phone. Disguised as a inconsequential in reference to and shoot. That's what makes it very effective; people are not intimidated by it. You can get right up to them, and it looks like any other camera. Yet, it is more. In episode, the generous three inch LCD screen means you do not have to hold it to your face. There is no optical viewfinder in any invalid. Honest Starter Camera
I bought this camera for my old lady when her Olympus Stylus 300 had run it's life expectancy. May it rest in peace. The Nikon Coolpix is relatively peacefully to use.. has lots of decent features and the price was killer, but.. picture quality isn't as good as her fresh Olympus or the Canon Sureshot we also use. However.. It is worth the money. In hindsight I wish I'd spent $50-90 more and got another Canon Sureshot. The drawing difference is noticeable. Me thinks this Nikon would be perfect for a child or teen learning to use a camera and NOT seeking hi-end results. My 2 doubloons.

Grand camera - so I thought
I needed a meet camera and didn't want to spend a lot of coin. I picked this one b/c it had the lithium-ion rechargeable battery-operated and was 10 megapixel. It's super easy to use and has great features. I have taken some close ups of things (macro) and I'm blown somewhere else by the detail quality. For [...] bucks, I don't know how you could beat this. Some of the shots i've taken already look skilful and I don't even really know how to fully use it yet. Great buy. THE ABOVE WAS MY ORIGINAL REVIEW. BELOW IS THE UPDATE: This camera seemed bonzer for me at the time, but despite VERY LIGHT USE and always having it in a protective case and proper handling, it didn't even last a year and a half. The lens wouldn't unincumbered and despite several attempts to fix it (using various methods found online as this is a common problem), nothing worked. My election was to try to get it fixed for more than the camera is worth. Now it is a $150 paper weight. Complete junk...
Spacious value for a good camera.
My Nikon S220 is a facts camera. It is not, the $7000 digital Professional SLR. It is simply a very easy to use, very resaonably priced, core & shoot camera. I feel that I received exactly the camera I needed for my application at the assess I was willing to pay. I particularly like the simple controls. Overall - I considered physical largeness, megapixel rating, functionality, ease of use, and quality of images obtained - and then gave it a 5 Evening star rating.

Ill-fated quality
I have had this camera a mini over a year and have not been impressed with the picture quality. For the price, however, it was tolerable. Now the lens cover is stuck (the monstrous "lens error"). No luck trying to fix it myself and it will cost more for someone to fix it than it is worth. These cameras wait on to have this lens problem. Buyer beware.
