Customer ReviewsMarvy PoV perspective that can provide better footage than a helmet mountAssessment updated 2011 Aug 10: Vs. Helmet mount for mtn biking: Pros: - Gamester PoV perspective which captures more movement of your arms and your gear in action - Better ground detail - Ameliorate clearance from branches Cons: - Can't easily aim it behind you while on the bike and looking back at friends riding a sector you just rode - More wind noise, due to it capturing the sound of wind deflecting off your chest Footage from my GoPro on my helmet mount wasn't very spectacular. It seemed a bit slower than in valid life and made everything look flat, from making obstacles look insignificant to making pitches look equal. Moving the camera to the chest mount gave my footage better ground detail to help with depth comprehension and since it captured my position, arm movement, and gear's movement, it gave a sense of the technique I was using to deal with the steep pitches. The ground and foliage seemed to zoom by faster... GoPro Chest Harness I recently purchased an GoPro HD helmet-cam and this mount has made my skiing video's look accountable as compared to using the helmet or head band mount that's included in the package. I dare say its skiing style but I tend to move my head around more often then my chest. My chest is typically looking downhill in the direction of the accept line making for a stable platform keeping my viewers from getting sick. This is an extra item that you should consider purchasing if you like making skiing or biking video's. I'm a big guy (6ft 225lbs)so I was disturbed about this thing fitting me but to my pleasure I found that the straps are adjustable, stretch & a buckle next to the camera mount makes for expert removal. Also, it's easy to turn the camera on and start a video shoot with the camera being so close to your chest. I highly mention favourably using one of these if you want stable looking video's. I give it a thumbs up! Distinguished, simple mount This is a outstanding mount for any activity where you are facing forward. It is not so great for sideways facing activities (aka snowboarding, skateboarding). It is very smug and well made. It does what it should.
Lowepro Chest Harness For Topload Zoom
Details
DescriptionThe trounce way to keep your camera safe and secure for active outdoor sports photography like biking, boarding, mountaineering or skiing. Stability for all Lowepro® Topload Zoom holster-style packs (except the Topload Zoom Mini). Adapt to four ways for a perfect fit.Customer ReviewsKeeps My Camera Acceptable and AccessibleI bought this result to use with the Lowepro Topload Zoom 1 Camera Bag, and it works incredibly well. I do a lot of hiking that often includes periods of sway scrambling. I wanted to have my camera ready at a moment's notice, yet be safe from bumping up against rocky surfaces. With the chest harness married, my camera fits snug against my stomach, and my hands are free to grab onto rocky surfaces. I have even reach-me-down the chest harness to keep my camera from swaying while I've climbed into slot canyons. I highly recommend this product. I've found that the camera is most stable when the waist strip is hooked onto the top of the camera bag and the shoulder belts are attached to the bottom of the bag - the vendor's photo shows the opposite loyalty. works as meant, nice product I use this with a topload zoom all-indisposed bag, and this harness keeps the bag stable, so I can lean completely forward (flat) or jog at a slow gallop. A dangerous feature of strap is that when you put it on, the back has a sown strap patch which permanently ties together all straps, and allows you to [wind] hang strap from your neck. This makes it very easy to put on as you don't have to rest bag on a table, etc. while you strap it in. My only emanation with bag is that the D-Ring clips (which mount to your bag) are made out of plastic, and may break. But for the price, I'm not going to worry much. So 4-take the lead because of the plastic clips, but other than that a nice 5-star product. Very serviceable when hiking! I own a Nikon D80 and I generally speaking go out with 2 lenses at any time. I purchased the topload zoom 2 along with the harness. I got this for when I go hiking to use it with the chest harness and a backpack at the same time. While the harness is not that tranquilly to put on the first time, the combo topload + harness is so convenient. It does not impair your capacity to carry other hiking linked stuff, you don't have to miss all these incredible shots because you can just grab your camera whenever. And you do not need to kill your neck keeping your camera out all the every now either. More importantly, this is a nice way to equalize the weight of your equipment when Hiking. Some reviewers mention that the straps were not too conveniently located and could fracas with your backpack straps. If your backpack is well conceived, that's probably not a problem then. Why 4 stars? The straps are pretty thin and not padded like on a backpack. This might hurt and not be...

About Bushnell Customer ReviewsAbundant Camera SupportThis is a very burly, practical harness that does double-duty for binoculars and/or cameras. Eliminates the strain on the back of the neck caused by onerous cameras and lenses hanging from your neck. It's definitely not designed for a woman, but it works anyway, and if what you are shooting or looking at is more weighty than how you look, this product is definitely for you! untroubled! must buy! At best got to use this for the first time last weekend. I've got a pretty heavy pair of binoculars. I clipped them into this harness and wore them for 6 hours put in order in absolute comfort. Very comfortable to wear. Very easy to use your binoculars while wearing the harness too. If you have been using that strap that cuts into your neck, renounce it away and buy one of these, you won't regret it. Usefulness every penny! I bought this to use with my camera while hiking. I didn't like having to relinquish tease my camera out of the bag all the time or if I wore it around my neck it swung all over the place and I was afraid it would get broken. This harness held the camera in put and made it convenient for fast shots. It sits right on the chest, so for some women, it might be uncomfortable which is why I gave it 4 stars preferably of 5 stars. I wish I had thought of getting one years ago. I imagine I'll use it for more than hiking! It's reasonable and convenient for any time you have to carry a camera around for a while.

The camera and lens are entirely bulky and heavy and I needed a solution for hiking. This elegantly simple harness works splendidly. I can carry the camera all day hiking through the Rockies without neck or back fatigue, without the camera swinging side to side or front to back and yet with it quickly and easily at for use. When I bend down to examine something or simply tie my shoe, the camera doesn't fall into the middle of whatever I'm doing. A confidante bought the harness for his Nikon Stabilized binoculars and has reported back that it works beautifully with the binoculars as well. I've been enchanted with my purchase. A saved neck! I recently returned from a faux pas to the Amazon, and Lake Titticaca where I used the OP/Tech Bino/Cam Harness. It provided great corroborate for a faily heavy DSLR with a 18-200mmlens. Use while walking was a joy, and in boats I did not have to worry about the camera swinging wildly about when boarding a knockabout, or when getting off. Several people on the trip wanted to know where to get a harness for themselves, for Cameras, or Binocculars. Camera Harness This was the only springy camera harness I could find, and it is a good one. Plenty of room to go over a winter parka, yet adjustable enough for just a T-shirt. Candid to use and adjust.
OP/TECH USA 5301412 Bino/Cam Harness-Webbing

DescriptionA unqualified solution for the outdoor enthusiast seeking a simple harness system for cameras or binoculars. The BINO/CAM HARNESS self-adjusts to richly balance gear while in use or in the idle position against the body. The unique loop attachment system enables the harness to speedily snap in place using our Uni-Loop quick disconnects. Its simple design and famed price are sure to win approval!Customer ReviewsSave Product for a Bad NeckBought this harness for use with a Nikon D300 which is a much heavier camera than my last and do not contrition it. I have a neck injury which makes it hard to hang or tie anything around now, so this harness is a Godsend. It's very adjustable and easy to use, but takes a smidgen getting used to slipping on after being used to a neck strap and takes a little longer to do. Still, if you dearth this, it's worth doing and a huge convenience in the end. I don't like my camera swinging around and knocking expensive lenses on things, so being qualified to keep an eye on my equipment is wonderful. There are a couple of drawbacks I've noticed however. It's hard to use liveview in the LCD monitor because the harness holds the camera too shut up shop unless you adjust the straps way out away from your body. Also it seems necessary to adjust the straps way out for assorted use and reading menus being as I'm far sighted these days. I don't care to wear glasses while taking photos, so for me this is... Shockingly useful back saver This a such a high-mindedness idea that each of my heavy "around-the-neck" collection of items (cameras, binoculars) has gotten one. It is fabulous how heavy SLR's are now easier to carry, and that's saying nothing about the advantage of having both hands free to revolution lenses and handle the camera safely. Also, the camera is always "at-the-ready". There is also a version of the harness with elastic bands. WHile the flexible bands are good over heavy clothing (think winter), I find that the camera swings too much so I prefer the well-founded harness. All in all, a wonderful item to have for anything that you may want to carry around your neck for immediate access. It by a hair's breadth works I pleasure this thing. It combines all the comfort of a camera bag with all the convenience of a neck strap. (Almost all the convenience -- I find it a itsy-bitsy awkward for vertical shots, but unsnapping one of the buckles solves it). It looks pretty dorky, if you charge, but with a backpack, vest, or jacket its more or less invisible. It looks to me like it will last forever. Before I got this, I had two choices when I wanted to have my dslr along for a lengthy walk, neither satisfactory. I could wear it on the OEM neck strap for convenient access, but found that quickly got uncomfortable, and, on a hike, having the camera up to date around so much made me nervous. Or I could carry it my camera backpack, but getting it out for every picture meant a lot fewer pictures. One of the overwhelm camera gear purchases I've made.
Nikon 6121 Prostaff Bino Harness
Details
Description- Prism BinocularsCustomer ReviewsA right bino harness...This is a fair, pretty standard bino harness. If you're still using the neck strap, the benefits of the harness are that you don't have a sore neck at the end of the day, your binos don't spring and swing on your chest as you walk or do other activities, and it slightly stabilizes your grip while viewing. The harness is highly upper to the neck strap!!! Down sides of this model: The quick-release clasps are absolutely a little tricky to unclasp. Maybe this is a good thing if you have super-expensive binos, but I find it a small frustrating. Also, the plastic strap-junction pieces aren't designed quite as ergonomically as they could be. There's a big "Nikon" logo on the back that I longing wasn't there. But if you find it for a competitive price, go for it. Another downside: The bino harness makes you look like you're some gimmick thinking he's tough because he's wearing a pseudo-gun-holster (ie Gareth Keenan's cell phone holster in "The Role"). OK with Nikon Emperor Bino's As eminent by another reviewer, AT FIRST, I too thought there was no way to attach these to the Nikon Monarch strap anchors as the clips are too thick. However, Nikon includes a short plastic bag containing 2 small metal rings (much like heavy duty key rings) which stick on to the bino anchors and the clips then attach to them. It works perfectly and I'm sure makes it workable for nothing but about any set of bino's. I would note that I almost overlooked these rings as the small bag had fallen onto the floor when I openned the encase up. Once I saw them it became obvious what they were for. Perhaps these went unnoticed by the previous reveiwer or were missing entirerly. Inclusive a quality product. Maybe a simple diagram of the attachment point would resolve any confounding. Harness was not as shown in the depict. I bought this harness because of the connecting straps from the harness to the binoculars. I have epigrammatic binoculars and wanted the extention straps for a better fit. The set I received did not have the extention straps included. The harness was the same as all the other harnesses I could buy locally for much less coins with the only difference being the name on the back. If you are buying these because of the extention straps, you should email the seller first to make sure the straps are included before spending the strikingly dollars. They were well made, just not the same item as shown in the picture. |
