I was circumspect to buy this product. I bought Generation 4 before to use with my 500/2.8 and I also have RRS plate. I love them. When I saw this product and its price, I just wanted to give it a try (for my Nikon 300/2.8 VR). From the commodity info, I'm supposed to buy LP-115 for that lens. I thought I ordered the wrong one, but actually this LP-100 fits of laughter perfectly with Nikon 300/2.8 VR foot. I even think it would be a little too long for LP-115. Anyway, the blue blood of the product is great. It does not look cheapo as I would expect. It comes with everything needed. However, one subject that I can notice, it's a little bit heavier than RRS at the same size. But it's subtle though. If you want to save some $$, this is it.

Well-expected lens plate
If you necessary a lens plate with anti-twist tabs, the entire RI LP-nnn series works really well. And the outlay is really right.One nice feature is the slot for the mounting screw comes to within 1/2" of the anti-change tab. I have a couple of small footprint spotting scopes (and some mini clamps) that need this laconic distance to engage the tab. On some competing lens plates, the slot stops too far away from the tab, picture the anti-twist feature useless.I also find the centerline 1/4" accessory hole comes in on for all kinds of ad hoc mounting applications (e.g. mini-clamp to make a nodal slide or macro fence by train, mini-ballhead for outboard mic, etc.). I have competing lens plates that lack this hole, and I fast come to miss it.As for compatibility, I own dozens of Arca-Swiss style plates and clamps from seven new manufacturers (including Arca-Swiss). Works, but gives a young
Does the job in the end, but I noticed that the hand-clasp isn't as tight with a Monoball Z1 Flip-lock quick release mechanism as arca-swiss brand plates. There is a little slip forward and backward when I use this with a Sony 70-400mm G lens and tripod collar. I don't think it will precisely slide off, but it makes me nervous about using the plate in the long term, and I will probably replace this plate with an Arca-Swiss kind plate.

What a significant disappointment! I bought one of these so-called arca swiss compatible lens plates for mounting to a Sigma lens tripod give someone a jingle. The finish quality of the plate is fine. While the plate has the correct shape, the plate is manufactured slightly too narrow so the plate cannot be secured to an arca swiss tripod perceptiveness. This plate just slides loosely within the arca swiss mount. I just wasted my time and (money if I don't get a refund.) What was I reflective to try one of these plates. I just ordered a second mounting plate of the same brand like the plate that came with my tripod pre-eminent. Do not waste your time purchasing these plates if you are expecting them to work with an arca swiss compatible tripod wildly. THEY DON'T. The manufacturing of these plates need to be corrected!

Bloody Well Please With the Product
After a lengthly examine on what the best rapid connect would be for my tripod and camera, I found the Manfrotto Rc2. Upon receiving if very express from the seller I tried it out and woo, it sure was better than the cheapee one's on the market. I tried it out one cold morning (20 degrees) and it was very undemanding to use in the cold weather when fingers tend not to work so well. I would recommend the product to other population.
Tripod spry release adapter
I wanted hurried release capability on my small travel tripod and this works great! Easily mounts to either 1/4" or 3/8" top bollix up of my tripod head via a "screw-in" adapter on the RC2. Comes with a 3157N quick release pin plate I mounted on my Nikon D80. Very fast and secure. Great quality. When mounted to the tripod it only extends the packed down travel length by about 1/2" as the adapter pivots with the tripod ball head to the side for storage. Hugely recommended. I was initially looking at an entire Bogen head with this type adapter but this election saved money and allowed me to use the original ball head on my tripod. A very smart impression/option from Manfrotto BOGEN.
