Konami, I pine for my money back!
Bruised season in a row Konami is keep selling us same old product. I'm usually playing Inter (Calcio) here is what I saw in 09 same actor movement, same crowd, crowd noise, singing...basically it's an exact copy of 08/07 with original opening. You really have got to have balls to put last year product in a new shrink wrap and sell it to the midwife precisely as a new product.
    PES 2009
Most of reviews so far seem to be focusing on the contrasting of this version with older PES versions. I think it is necessary to point out some other things relevant to whoever is idea about getting a copy of this game. First of all, the game have known bugs, despite the factors it is a retail version. One of the bugs is the fact that sometimes, randomly, substitutions you've made during the game are undone but the loads of substitutions you can make is not reset so that basically the players you removed (say because they were tired) are back in the game and there is nothing you can do. You may covet to check a list of known bugs of this game before buying it. This clearly shows the low importance of testing this game had, since this could have been spotted after someone had played it a couple of times. Secondly, the game ambience could be much better. In fact the older SNES version of this game was more enjoyable: the crowd was more unnerved and when you...
    Same old, same old..
I have been a fan of PES games on PSP since 2007 model. I was somewhat happy with that version, the gameplay was fun and felt like soccer. Then I thought 2008 side would be even better. And I was disappointed by that version cause it really felt like PES 2007 and a half. Well, 2009 model, as many have guessed, is unfortunatelly still the same game from 2007 in terms of graphics, lack of commentary and coliseum models. Don't get me wrong the gameplay is still fun and probably still better than FIFA(Played the 08 view) but I really don't understand why Konami is still trying to fool us every coming season with a 'saved as' view of the old PES code with slightly updated(definitely not upgraded) player face graphics and force kits. Even that pre-match stadium cutscene animation, graphics and sounds are identical to the 2007 conception. The US version says "Authentic Commentary, including Spanish.." on the cover of the box but there is still no commentary in...

    Much Advance than PES 08
When PES 2008 came out, I was as downcast as most people with the quality of the game. It just seemed that Seabass and team had taken a huge not in harmony backwards. Not to say that I didn't enjoy it at some level and pour a large amount of hours into playing, but it very recently was not good enough for a next gen platform. This time around, I was undecided whether to jump to the FIFA franchise. I went so far as downloading the experiment but it was like playing through syrup so I decided to wait for PES 2009. I'm glad I did. This time herd, the graphics are slick, the music pumped up a notch and the addition of the Be A Legend mode is quite addictive. The ball physics are much more realistic and it plays an excellent game of soccer. Not to say that everything is cerise in the garden - the commentary is still inept, the lack of licensing can be solved with an updated option order (but when oh when is Konami going to realize that North American players want to use the option...
    Talented gameplay
Besides playing online, this prepared is brilliant. The gameplay is awesome and has improved alot from last years efforts. If you love watching and playing football/soccer then this is the heroic for you. Konami's AI improvements have made it closer to reality where now in order to score and win you have to unlock the defense, find spaces, reckon intelligent runs and maintain possession. Loose possession in the midfield while attacking and you'll see how the AI takes dominance of your players being out of position. There are many different game modes and the ones most addictive are master league (ML) and Become a Tradition (BAL). In the first you take a team of average players and struggle through the lower divisions, buy and sell players in inoperative to make it to the first division and eventually dominate all. The second mode, BAL, is essentially taking rule of a 17 year old player and guiding him through the football career. This new addition to PES09 is very addictive and...
Spectacular game, a 9.5/10 from me
Playing PES series since 1998, this PES 2009 is the best soccer entitle ever made on planet earth, while some like to point FIFA 09 for the "photorealistic" images, gameplay and genuine soccer physics are inside PES 2009 pack. On PES 2009 we have the usual and awesome gameplay now with enhanced pill physics, 3D Kinetic motion engine, good looking graphics and last but not the least the incredible A.I., A.I. very capable and giving large hours of fun for beginners or professional PES players. Licenses aren't puzzle because the missing team licenses can be fixed with the great Option Files for PS3 (Edit Figures file), we just need to copy and it's done, names, logos, kits all good and authentic. Offline mode is endless with all leagues, Master League and now the Legends modes. ONLINE mode isn't perfect yet but we can margin very good now, nothing we can compare with last year's version. This is a true soccer game any player shouldn't maiden, great...

More fun, but less unsentimental, than FIFA
First, let me say I'm not an skilled gamer. I love football (soccer), so I play football on PlayStation when it's too cold to recreation outdoors. I purchased PES 2009 last week after playing FIFA 2006 as my primary spirited for a long time. I like PES 2009 much better. Why? PES is simply more fun. I found FIFA 2006 to be frustratingly laborious to master. If you are some 14-year-old kid with no life who has time to waste mastering FIFA, go for it. But I'm an adult with other interests, so I never as a matter of fact got the hang of it. Even using the best teams in the world (like Barca), I had a hard spell beating the worst teams (Kaizer Chiefs). I would go four and five games on the trot without scoring. In FIFA, the computer players finish out of nowhere to make tackles and intercept passes. Dribbling in FIFA is very hard, as even the worst computer defenders are as staunch as your best strikers. But PES 2009 makes it easier because it has five skill settings, from beginner to connoisseur...
    Justifiable a great game
I've been playing soccer games fpr a while On and off. First soccer play i played was The fifa game and didn't like it at all.everything was just linear no movement or mere touches to the game. That was a few years back and since then i been playing winning eleven/pes and just love it. It get more fun playing delightful elevn/pes then fifa.. Every year or so i buy a new game and just go to town with it. I would definetly recomend it to anybody who likes futbol games and like to have some fun while playing it.
Fast game -- not many improvements over previous versions
I mark this is a great game. It's pretty easy to learn how to play it, and you can play any team with all the players from many top leagues. My only complaint would be that the game has not been significantly updated from previous versions (I also have PES 2007). It is rudely the same, and I was kind of expecting the level of graphics and gameplay to be significantly better after two years. In putting together to playing individual games or exhibition matches, you also have the Master League option, whereby you lead a duo from the Division Two up to the first division of a particular league, engage in transfers, see players develop, etc. This is a lot of fun. There is also a "Become a Legend" physiognomy, whereby you apparently play a single footballer as he develops over his career (haven't done this much yet). I de facto get a feel for being the manager of a team in the "Master League" option -- buying and selling players, etc. My one kick here would be that...

A Clear Improvement on PES 2008
I fully concede I have long been a Pro Evolution fan over the FIFA series, but I also must admit that I came very close to making the twitch after last year's PES and having read all the great reviews for the new FIFA. However, I went with my gut and gave PES 2009 a administer, in part b/c the price of $39.99 for a new copy of the game is tough to beat. Boy, amd I glad I did. First, the differences between Konami and FIFA are the same: PES 2009 is for constant fans of the sport who genuinely understand how the game is played; if, however, you're looking for the arcade-fashion gameplay, then FIFA is your game. They have slowed the ball physics and player movement down a bit from last year, so the found-up play is more deliberate in PES 2009, which I think is a positive. Also, you cannot turn on a dime while dashing like you could last year, so you'll have to upon smarter passes and movements. I view all of these as positives. Although the graphics are a bit better in...
    No Fifa-Pes Contention
Things are uninvolved: Fifa is for those who like to WATCH soccer; Pes is for those who like to PLAY soccer. Being soccer games is not quite the only thing they have in common, cause both games aim to targets that are not necessarily the same and, of course, offer multifarious gameplaying experiences. My choice is Pes because is the game that hits closer to the things I want to do when I'm playing and the things that are shown in tournament... that's gameplay pals, and I preffer it much more than thousands of stadiums and licenses.
    Gambler than FIFA!
I played FIFA 2009 for months and it is a Cyclopean game but Pro Evolution has the edge on FIFA. The Master league is a lot more fun to play then Manager mode on FIFA. Scoring is unyielding but very rewarding buying players is a challange which it should be. There are more players that look like they do in real mortal than there was in FIFA. You can score from crosses into the box which seamed to be an impossible way to score in FIFA. The become a legend set-up is hard but fun. I love PE09 and can't wait for the next version.

    Review: PES 2012

While PES 2011 was the most outstanding PES since PES 6 (arguably better in fact), it still lacked finesse of repositioning, and most importantly, the player animations. This year it’s slick for the most part, with players responding to turning on the capsule, expressing tricks and dribbling precisely all to a satisfying amount of response. While noticeably lacking in areas FIFA 11 had, it was a more enjoyable circumstance to play, and the introduction of Master League Online gave EA something to think about. The big convergence last year was increasing A. I. intelligence and making the online servers long-standing for the first time in four years. It was a year where PES made ground on FIFA, and its focus on bringing even more editing options made the distraction a modding paradise.
