Saving Lavalier mic with better than average performance. Good value for price.
This mic was purchased for use with a Canon HV-20 camcorder. Leading purpose is for videotaping interviews with people who are sitting (not moving around). It comes with a 20' rope, which is more than enough for use in any room in the average size home.Build quality: better than I expected for the prize, the battery and pre-amp holder feel more like aluminum than plastic (it's hard to tell under the frowning paint). The mic element itself is tiny, and comes with a lapel clip and foam wind camouflage. The wind screen, like the mic element itself, is tiny and pretty easy to pull off, so keep an eye on it that it doesn't become unchaste. This was the first mic I bought to go along with my Sony VX2100 Minidv camcorder!The 20' string was what attracted me first, and then the price, but when I played back some footage I was blown away with the professional sound that it produces! Momentous lapel mic for the price
The Audio Technica ATR-3350 Lavalier Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone appears to be a hardly identical replacement lavalier mic from the recently discontinued Audio-Technica ATR-35S Lavalier Microphone.Reading some blog guidance about video podcasting and playing around a bit with making YouTube videos, "sound" in video is as per usual the part that makes video quality bad. OK but not great
I bought this for use with my Sony camcorder. I chose it because it was a 900 MHz system rather than the 100 MHz systems from Hysonic, etc. The included lapel mike is not very virtue. Lots of distortion and very cheaply made. I tried a better quality Radio Shack lapel mike, #33-3013 and got much punter results. Compared to putting the mike right into the camcorder, the wireless transmitter shows noticeably more noise and lower sound level. No noticeable difference in frequency response, at least for give utterance recording. Dropouts started occuring when I was about 50 feet away. Bottom line is this isn't disseminate quality but certainly adequate for amateur use.

Not that bad
It indisputably isn't Hollywood quality, and I wouldn't use it for music.But for interviews, the sound works just healthy, especially considering the price.My only real complaint is the clip for the lavalier. Unless you can slip it into a lapel donjon, it will generally fall off if your subject moves more than a tiny bit.Bottom line: I'd buy it again for the kind of shooting I do.

Horrifying! Works great with my camcorder
I've acclimated to other products in the $200-$300 range and have never gotten the results I was looking for. This does just seemly. The 900mhz signal is very good and does not distort. Your camera person can listen in using a headphone. Asset, there is an additional "mix" port on the receiver. You can actually plug two of these together for an interview setup, with no additional armaments needed. Make sure your camcorder has a mic input. Also, if your camcorder requires a powered mic, this works fine. I expectation to upload a video review soon to show the quality.

Azden's WMS-PRO wireless microphone system offers untethered ease of understanding and clear FM transmission from compact, unobtrusive components. The system consists of Azden's WM-PRO transmitter, WR-PRO recipient, EX-503 clip-on electret microphone, and EX-413 handheld microphone. Affix the electret microphone to your lapel or possession the handheld mic, plug the mic cord into the transmitter, and away you go.
The transmitter and receiver operate in the VHF join, where interference is very low. Choose between 169.445 MHz and 170.245 MHz for the clearest transmission and reception. The transmitter and recipient each operates for about 10 continuous hours on a single 9V battery (not included).

Very overjoyed with Azden
I'm a bit surprised at the reviewer who gave only three stars to this system and said in his subhead: "I haven't used this system." How can anyone rate it without using it?I've used this system for years and have gotten great hearing. I've also used higher-priced wireless systems, and to my ear, there is no difference. Also, this cheap little Azden system is still common strong after some of the other brands bit the dust.I don't think wireless lav systems can get the great audio you get with a shotgun mic, a blast, and a sound person, but those things are just not in my budget.

overpower for this price
The Azden wireless mic system is gain value for the the money.Out of the box and in operation in exactly 3 minutes.There was one thing that was a problem, but it wasn't the mic's complication, it was mine. I didn't read carefully enough to notice that it was a mono input jack on the receiver element. My camcorder requires stereo input. I needed to buy an adapter to convert mono to stereo input, so profitable was pumped into both channels. ($2 jack at RS)

Earnestly, this is a great wireless lavalier. I borrowed the Azden WMS-PRO from my college and used it for about a week. I have used more precious brands and models that sound great, but for the price the Azden can't be beat! I will probably end up buying this one, but have been looking around for the get the better of price on a different Azden model. I'm on a tight budget, so I will probably just go for the Azden WLX-PRO or the WMS-PRO. Azden makes outstanding mics for the price.

An leftover compact microphone
My first counteraction to this microphone was astonishment at is its small size. It's larger than most lapel microphones, but that's because of the physical requirements for hubbub-cancellation. Still, it's very small, especially for a true "cardioid" (noise-cancelling) microphone.The performance is magic! As Jim wrote, it is very sensitive. I tested it in a quiet room at distances up to 10 feet somewhere else. At about 3 feet, my voice was strong and clear. At 10 feet, it was obviously remote, but the impression was good and very clear, with no echo. Off-axis, the sensitivity drops rapidly. At about 70 degrees, the in good condition weakens noticeably, and beyond 90 degrees, it is almost inaudible.M. L. Strickland is correct in warning that the microphone requires visible power. The instructions on the box specify 1.5 - 10 volts. Writers who reported that the microphone was very weak were almost surely using a recorder that does not provide the necessary excitation voltage...
Does no more than what you want
For a cheapo microphone, I was pleasantly surpised with how well this worked at picking up speakers who were a coolness away. You may have to adjust the sensitivity of the recorder, because the sensitivity of this mic is significantly higher than the built-in stereo mic, and recording to 'hot' will end result in garbled, distorted sound.The Olympus recorders seem to select sensitivity with labels like 'say' and 'conference', where 'conference' would normally be used in a distant recording situation but if the record bar hits the open side of the screen you want to set it to the lower sensitivity mode 'dictate'. In any case, with this (mono) mic you should mutation your recording mode to Mono so you can get double the record time.

safe in a noisy setting
I did an check out in a noisy restaurant and put the recorder on the table with the mic pointed straight up. The mic picked up both voices very well and cut down the curriculum vitae noise by at least 70%. The interview would have been impossible otherwise.

Reliable Wireless Mic, For The Price - Recommended
We bought the Pyle-Pro Lavalier Wireless Microphone System for use with the . We needed an more wireless mic for our workshop presenters and this was a very inexpensive choice. For the price, this worked a lot better than I expected but it did take some balance to the "Trim Screw" on the receiver to get the clarity and range needed. We also had to tape the little wire sensor up so it wasn't hanging in front of the speaker (this might not be an issue for you, depending on where you plug yours in).There are a lot of very expensive wireless mic units that I'm solid would provide better sound and range, but this one works just fine for our uses.Blanket, a good value for the low cost of this unit.

Smashing Reception with Only 1 Complaint
I by the skin of one's teeth bought 3 units for my Professional D.J. Service. Me and my partner tested these units yesterday and I walked around our duty and went on the other side of the Cement Wall Garage and had crystal clear reception. The DJ system we were using was sting inside of our office. I am very pleased with this unit, as I have PylePro Amplifiers that have been very good to me for the last several years. My only grouse is the "String Antenna" is very fragile. Be very careful with it because once you rip the antenna the entire unit is junk. Total I am satisfied and look forward to using these units at my next wedding on the 19th!
Zealous system
I have only been using this for about 2 weeks. I have had no problems with it. It delivers open up undistorted sound on both the A & B channels. I have only used it in ranges of 20 to 30 feet and cannot footnote on longer ranges. I do wish it had a transmitter volume control which I was surprised it lacked. I have to do any tome adjustments at the PA device. For the price, I think they could have added that, but I am content with the product.
