Course Description
English @Work is a twelve week program designed for intermediate level students of English. Students will have an opportunity to use and improve their English and gain the knowledge and skills needed to enter the global business arena with confidence. The course covers the basics of business writing, reading, and analysis of current events. The practical application of English in business settings is highly emphasized in the course. Students are required to share real life issues that they face in their daily work. This course is designed by Ajarn Chris Wright and other fellow teachers at the Chris English School.Teachers of this course have both extensive English teaching experience and years of working in a vigorous Multinational corporation so they will know what the strengths and weaknesses of students in Thailand’s corporate environment.
Learning Style
English @Work is a highly interactive course. Students are expected to provide as much input as possible during all stages of the course. It is in the interaction that students will be able to practice their English. As with any course, the knowledge gained by the students will be entirely up to how much they contribute in class.
Objectives of the Course
Besides helping students improve their English skills, the course aims to:
- Increase students’ confidence in using English in business settings.
- Teach students the ability to adapt and improvise when using English.
- Provide and expand students’ network and support groups in the “real world”.
