Brilliant alternative to pricier plates
I got this element to have an L-plate on my Pentax K-5. It fits snugly without rotating and the lip on the bracket fits unambiguously against the back of the camera body, making it very secure. It fits into the two Arca-Swiss tripod heads that I own. It does NOT tolerate the battery door of the K-5 to open when installed. Not a problem for me, but I may but a few mm off the end to allow the battery door to exhibit.
I lover it! Way better than I expected!
I had been looking at the Remarkably Right Stuff L plates for my new 60D, but I'm so happy I saved money and went with this plate. It fit my 60D faultlessly. I was concerned about it covering the battery compartment, but not at all. It's solidly built and beautiful. I'm thrilled I went with this!!
Produce Quality
I was surprised at the assemble quality of this L-Bracket. I do not own any original arca swiss equipment to compare but i can tell from the finish and weight that it will last. Hysteria very neatly on a Nikon D200 allowing full opening of battery compartment. However it does not brook the side caps for the USB and video out/power adaptor to open (hence 4 stars). Personally i don't mind this because i do not use these services on the D200 since i use a card reader. I love the slim design and ablity to clamp camera vignette to do panoramas. Bought this with their 60mm arca type QR clamp and both came in well padded boxes BUT with no manual/instructions. The clamp is also excellent trait (see my review for it - [...]).

Did not seize to lens well
The foot fit into my Arca-Swiss clamp natural enough but it would not attach to the lens tight so there was a lot of movement. The original Nikon foot secures vigorously without any movement.

Works grand with Really Right Stuff lever clamp!
Since not all Arca high style plates are the same, and Really Right Stuff (RRS) even says on their website that not all plates from other manufacturers employment with their lever quick release clamp, I thought I'd leave a review. This plate works remarkable with my RRS lever clamp, so if you were hesitant to buy don't be. Build quality is excellent and the price at the time I ordered was $39.99, $60 less than the comparable RRS replacement foot for the Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR.
