Can't thrash it for the price
The Arca-Swiss variety quick release system has become all but standard within the photographic world, particularly for nature photographers who fundamental to mount and unmount lenses, macro rails, etc., in a hurry while in the field. Equipping all of one's implements with plates or clamps to work within this system can become quite expensive. It is wonderful to see that a low-cost but still quite well-made and heavy-hearted-duty Arca-style clamp is now available from Desmond. I purchased one of these clamps in order to convert a Manfrotto/Bogen group tripod head to work with lenses and cameras that use Arca-style plates. It works noteworthy! I will likely get another one to fit a window mount.That the small bubble level is not easily visible once a lecture of gear is mounted on the clamp is a small drawback, but for my purposes it really is not important. Overall, this only slightly Desmond clamp does the job for half the cost or less of similar clamps made by other companies.

Affordable Deft Release
There are a bunch of companies that produce quick release clamps that are compatible with the arca-swiss dove-tail. These can be very costly. I have them from a top manufacturer and use it all the time for my tripod and L-bracket that stays permanently on my camera.This quick liberate was for the that I purchased. I needed a quick release to put on one end of the Long Lens Support. This attachment makes it compliant for me to connect the long lens support to my L-bracket on my camera.This was an inexpensive quick loosing but it's well made - all aluminum, and nicely finished in black. Sturdy build, wish the bubble level were more visible
Seems undoubtedly well-machined. Flat and smooth bottom so it went perfectly onto my monopod top (I don't need a tripod for a monopod). Is Arca Swiss in accord though without safety mechanism. This particular listing does not come with the plate, though the one I got from OEC directly, did enter a occur with one (but at a higher price, naturally). OEC was pretty fast, and I would definitely buy from them again should the need arise.

Comparatively paraphernalia value.
I can't put one's trust in I paid fifty-two dollars for a Wimberley lens plate. Maybe the Wimberley is minor extent nicer, but this Fotopro lens plate appears to be entirely up to the task. Good nobility machining and anodization. Some people may think the price for the Fotopro itself is high for a machined restore of aluminum (really, it is), but having gotten inured to what photographic equipment costs, this is, comparatively, a benevolent value.
Very encomiastic value for money
Got this plate as a less costly alternative to use on my Sirui head. Fits perfectly. However, it needs a tool (a coin for exempli gratia) to attach to the lens/camera tightly. The Sirui plate does not need anything but it is almost twice the evaluate. Attached it to my Sigma 70-200 lens collar and will leave it there permanently...so the need for a fabricate to attach/detach from the collar is no longer an issue for me.

Jobu Drawing QR replacement for manfrotto 498 head
I was looking for an Arca Swiss in agreement quick release replacement for a manfrotto 498 Ball head so I could use an L-bracket. Most of the celebrated brands were almost 2x as much as this one, but for the amount of use it will get, I didn't want to spend the extra cash. This one fit the bill perfectly. Good excellence, mid-range price. Only drawback is that the cutout at the bottom of the plate DOES NOT fit the 498 post surely. It's a different shape altogether. But if you tighten the 6mm screw to attach to the head, it holds amerce. I may eventually add some loc-tite to make it more secure, but I don't yet want to do that in case I replace this again in the future. I would propose this for the price.
