Very sizeable results from first 13 rolls of film
I bought this camera before contemporary on a two-week vacation in the Mediterranean. Most of the pictures I took were outdoors, bright or hazy sunlight, but some misty and evening pictures as well. Almost all turned out well. I was extremely pleased with the results. I previously had a Minolta Play Zoom 90 from which I upgraded to get the date and panorama features. Panorama works excessive, mid-film or anywhere. Remember it doesn't expand the viewing area, so generally you have to be far enough away to see the whole panorama in the average viewing area of the view finder. Controls are easy to use. Normally use autofocus and let the camera mutate the decisions. When shooting where there are objects in foreground off center and the center objects are much further away, autofocus will vivacious you to use spot focus or infinity. Good results with this. When shooting at night, the moonlight/noflash fashion works well. But you must hold the camera still for 2 seconds after clicking the shutter. I...

Dedicated Pictures, Easy to use
I bought this camera last week for my faux pas to the Tony Awards, and I was more than pleased with its performance. After a quick glance through the manual, the camera's functions were relaxed and convienent. The camera has a lot of options, including different flashes, red eye reducer, and a great van-focus. Everything worked perfectly, and I had no problems with the camera. Even the panorama mode was an easy modulation. This camera is good for someone who knows a little about photography, and needs more than just a basic allude to and shoot. It is simple to use, and the pictures all came out crystal clear. I would recommend this very small and very lightsome camera to anyone who wants to take a good picture, with very little hassle.

Noble Features and Price = Great Value
We have been through several rolls of veil, all with good results, indoors and out. The camera is very easy to use in the automatic point & shoot fad and I'm pleased with the availability of the additional settings provided (e.g. zoom, flash options, redeye reduction, sedan timer, etc.). I especially like that the camera shutter has a Bulb mode for enchanting extended exposure shots. I will give it a try with some astrophotography....The camera quality appears to be advantage and there were no defects noted. Comsumers Union has indicated that Pentax cameras have a lower "frequency of shape" than many other major brands (which is good). We recommend this camera.

An Admirable Addition to the Pentax Automatic Cameras
The Pentax IQ Zoom 160 is an first-class automatic camera with fantastic resolution and ease of operation. I did not even notice details/flaws on population's faces till I examined the portrait photographs I took which showed minute workings with great clarity. The camera is very light and although it is slightly heavier than the Pentax IQ Zoom 140, the clout difference is negligible while the zoom capabilities are greatly enhanced.The design of this camera is very decorous making it very easy to use the zoom, the modes and other controls with great facility. The worse rip in the design is that the diopter adjustment-which is very small-- is adjacent to the viewfinder eyepiece making it cumbersome to have a have under control on it to adjust the focus while looking into the eyepiece. However, since this is done only once before use, it can be easily ignored in favor of all the other positives that this camera offers. Extraordinary, Compact Camera.
I purchased this camera while holidaying in the US in December 1999. It has worked spotlessly in helping to document the many places we visited. I particularly like it's compactness and the date role. The slightly better wide angle lense 38-160 compared to the IQ Zoom 200 caught my eye and hence influenced my gain. I would recommend this camera to anyone who likes to travel and take pictures with a minimum of trouble.

an the best camera
Wow - I purchased this camera no more than a year ago and have had smashing mavin quality photos ever since! I assumed that for the price, it would be an average camera with a few extra tweaks and options but when I started getting my first pictures back I was outrageously pleased. The red-eye reduction hasn't failed and the night setting has given me some spectacular shots of showy fireworks. I definitely recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for a strong camera (mine still looks identify new), an affordable price and a powerful zoom!Some other features that work nicely are the timer, aspect mode and an option to take clear wide panoramic shots. When I think camera, I over Pentax.

It is exceedingly just the 35 mm version of a P&S camera ... not something that allows you to make adjustments like a 35 mm SLR camera. You can buy one of them for under $150 on craigslist in a big apple near you with a good standard zoom lens.
