The one to clobber!
This is an important product. Solid, attractive construction. Simple to use, with little to no chance of moving the oppress adjustment at the wrong time. Easy to set up, easy to tighten just where you want it, a acute piece of equipment. I use this on a set of Manfrotto 055XWNB legs, for a reasonably affordable mounting system. If I were to devote more money, I'd go for better legs. I would leave the head as-is regardless of what legs I purchased. The only caveat on the forefront is the quick-release system. I have both Really Right Stuff and standard Arca-Swiss plates. The RRS plates are fractionally wider than the A-S archetype, and as a result I need to do a bit of adjustment screw spinning when moving between some of my pieces of equipment if I long for to do the "slide in from the end" mounting technique. Not an issue if I'm fully opening the clamp to do a drop-in mount. This isn't a big reckon with, but I may have purchased the screw-clamp model (for +/- $10 less)...

Exceptional ballhead, highly recommended
This ballhead is a joy to use. I've had it while shooting as a hobbyist, and then later as a polished. The typical shoot involves setting the resistance based on the weight of the camera and lens. It's tied to do based on feel, takes less than 10 seconds on average to get it perfect. After the resistance is set I can reframe as needed without needing to finger on the knobs. It's an eye opener the first time you use a high quality ballhead. Something I really liked about the critical knob is that the resistance scale is free floating, meaning you can set how much resistance '10' represents on the gradation. It's handy to have if your camera is extra light or extra heavy. A 10 for my camera can symbolize the same resistance to movement as a 10 for yours, once the scale is adjusted. On a ballhead without this adjustment, if you have a heavy camera you can go biography the highest number on the scale trying to get the resistance just right, and then the numbers valid look...

Devoted product - totally worth it.
I have had the Arca Swiss Z1 SP for over 3 years now. It has served me well and has never let me down in all this yet. I used it during several international trips across the world and when coupled with my Gitzos (Series 3 and 5 from their systematic underline) has delivered critically sharp images, without fail. It is true that the manufacturer of Arca Swiss appurtenances is pretty reclusive and don't have even a viable website, but I simply cannot find fault with the product and have never needed any nice of service on it.

I brainwork I could save some money by purchasing this quick release plate.Sorry to say that this is NOT Arca-Swiss compatible.The trencher does not stay tight in my Really Right Stuff clamp.The plate works solely fine with my RRS clamp.The plate works just fine with my RRS clamp.This plate is so disconnected it just wobbles back and forth, confined only by the safety pins. Sorry, these are going back. Can't have two QR plates that don't labour with all my stuff. For three...

profligate fit on a Benro B-0
I purchased this matter because of its low price. Construction quality is very good, but is a loose fit on the Benro B-0 when tightened. I had to cut a used confidence card into a strip and glued it on one side of the plate to make a snug fit.
Well Made and Looks Pleasant but Still a Universal Plate
There isn't much to say about a all-encompassing quick release plate so I'll put a few bullets on what what matters most IMHO. Hopefully it will helps some gazabo Amazonians. - Black anodized metal plate, virtually no finish imperfections and a fine gloss - Universal so no curved "lip" set against the battery grip to prevent rotation of body in profile mode. The alternative is to get an RRS L bracket for almost 4 times the cost. - I bought one last year and another one well-founded last week. New plates now include a hex key for use with 1/4in screw. This can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on how you look at it. Having a hex key allows you to tighten determinedly without having to use a quarter or nickel for example. However, lets say you have to swap camera body and are somewhere in the province and do not have the hex key with you this could be a problem. A coin likely will be much easier to find than a hex key. - Manufactured in France if this matters to...

Capable plate with affordable price!
I was trust in to buy this product. I bought Generation 4 before to use with my 500/2.8 and I also have RRS plate. I love them. When I saw this product and its price, I by the skin of one's teeth wanted to give it a try (for my Nikon 300/2.8 VR). From the product info, I'm supposed to buy LP-115 for that lens. I remembrances I ordered the wrong one, but actually this LP-100 fits perfectly with Nikon 300/2.8 VR foot. I even ponder it would be a little too long for LP-115. Anyway, the quality of the product is great. It does not look cheapo as I would envisage. It comes with everything needed. However, one thing that I can notice, it's a little bit heavier than RRS at the same size. But it's subtle though. If you fancy to save some $$, this is it.

Well-meant lens plate
If you have need of a lens plate with anti-twist tabs, the entire RI LP-nnn series works at bottom well. And the price is really right.One nice feature is the slot for the mounting screw comes to within 1/2" of the anti-misunderstand tab. I have a couple of small footprint spotting scopes (and some mini clamps) that need this out of the blue a trim distance to engage the tab. On some competing lens plates, the slot stops too far away from the tab, showing the anti-twist feature useless.I also find the centerline 1/4" accessory hole comes in skilful for all kinds of ad hoc mounting applications (e.g. mini-clamp to make a nodal slide or macro also railroad vituperate, mini-ballhead for outboard mic, etc.). I have competing lens plates that lack this corner, and I quickly come to miss it.As for compatibility, I own dozens of Arca-Swiss style plates and clamps from seven exceptional manufacturers (including Arca-Swiss). Works, but gives a ungenerous
Does the job in the end, but I noticed that the power isn't as tight with a Monoball Z1 Flip-lock quick release mechanism as arca-swiss brand plates. There is a smidgen slide forward and backward when I use this with a Sony 70-400mm G lens and tripod collar. I don't contemplate it will completely slide off, but it makes me nervous about using the plate in the long term, and I will undoubtedly replace this plate with an Arca-Swiss brand plate.

Colossal quality
Incredible quality for the price. Very professional machining and finish. I've got a couple of these fotopro plates and couldn't be more glad with them.
While there are many divergent tripod heads and mounts out there, the “ Gimbal ” kidney forefront completely is preferred, because it provides barring lasting quality and consider with full versatility to exchange the lens and camera with nonchalance. Any other tripod chair exemplar, including shot-command requires endless loosening and tightening when tracking striking subjects and if not decorously tightened, could potentially go off command and cost the mat. There is no such peril with a gimbal-personification mind once everything is correctly hanging and the camera with a lens could alternate in all directions without the lack to accommodate oneself to anything....

I’m normally sprightly on the LL forum, but Martin at Arca said that there were a tally of R series users on this forum. I am putting up for selling my Rodenstock 35 HR. It is mounted for use on any R series cameras including RL3D, RM3D, RM3Di RM2D. If you don’t conscious, each lens is one at a time calibrated to exertion uniformly on any of the R series cameras. I bought the lens 23 months ago and it was mounted for use on my RL3D in August 2010 which I also purchased in August 2010.
