Can't pulsate it for the price
The Arca-Swiss variety quick release system has become all but standard within the photographic world, particularly for nature photographers who extremity to mount and unmount lenses, macro rails, etc., in a hurry while in the field. Equipping all of one's materiel with plates or clamps to work within this system can become quite expensive. It is wonderful to see that a low-cost but still quite well-made and weighty-duty Arca-style clamp is now available from Desmond. I purchased one of these clamps in order to convert a Manfrotto/Bogen genre tripod head to work with lenses and cameras that use Arca-style plates. It works important! I will likely get another one to fit a window mount.That the small bubble level is not easily visible once a part of gear is mounted on the clamp is a small drawback, but for my purposes it really is not important. Overall, this young Desmond clamp does the job for half the cost or less of similar clamps made by other companies.

Affordable Discerning Release
There are a count of companies that produce quick release clamps that are compatible with the arca-swiss dove-tail. These can be very dear. I have them from a top manufacturer and use it all the time for my tripod and L-bracket that stays permanently on my camera.This quick unshackle was for the that I purchased. I needed a quick release to put on one end of the Long Lens Support. This attachment makes it carefree for me to connect the long lens support to my L-bracket on my camera.This was an inexpensive quick let off but it's well made - all aluminum, and nicely finished in black. I prefer my lever-operated version from another industrialist for frequent use on my tripod (cost 7 times as much) but this is perfect for my needs - sturdy, quick, and...

Good build, wish the bubble level were more visible
Seems totally well-machined. Flat and smooth bottom so it went perfectly onto my monopod top (I don't need a tripod for a monopod). Is Arca Swiss on the same wave length though without safety mechanism. This particular listing does not come with the plate, though the one I got from OEC directly, did result as a be revealed with one (but at a higher price, naturally). OEC was pretty fast, and I would definitely buy from them again should the need arise.
Acratech expeditious release clamps are compatable with plates from Arca-Swiss, Kirk, Wimberly, Really Right Bull, Foba, etc.

I put this on my Vanguard SBH-300 ballhead and I taste it! I also bought the Sunwayfoto DPL-02 L-Plate and it's a perfect combination! I would recommend this to anyone!

Enormous Clamp
I bought this as a replacement for my Arca Swiss Clamp. Works extremely well for light DLSR. For Bigger DLSR, I recommend buying a different one.

Very Impressed
Cogitation that coming from a cheaper manufacturer that these arca swiss imitations would be sub-standard. NOT TRUE!! I attached this clamp readily to my Giottos MH 1000 ballhead and i could not be more satisfied. The clamp is very smooth but with no slack or play in its operation. The limited thumbscrew adjusts the clamping force which is rock solid with their matching L-Bracket. When fully contribute the L-Bracket easily drops in and there is no need to slide it in sideways. I like the safety padlock on the QR clamp handle that is a joy to operate because of how smooth it works. I cleaned off the sticky grease that it came with and re-lubricated with sprayer silicone to keep dust to a minimum. The onboard level seems accurate and works far better that the sluggish ones i had on my former Giottos QR clamp. All in all an excellent buy for those that see no need to spend >$100 on these types of accessories.

Jobu Form QR replacement for manfrotto 498 head
I was looking for an Arca Swiss of one mind quick release replacement for a manfrotto 498 Ball head so I could use an L-bracket. Most of the average brands were almost 2x as much as this one, but for the amount of use it will get, I didn't want to spend the extra cash. This one fit the bill perfectly. Good mark, mid-range price. Only drawback is that the cutout at the bottom of the plate DOES NOT fit the 498 post literally. It's a different shape altogether. But if you tighten the 6mm screw to attach to the head, it holds flimsy. I may eventually add some loc-tite to make it more secure, but I don't yet want to do that in case I replace this again in the future. I would advisable this for the price.
