    The one to fagged!
This is an special product. Solid, attractive construction. Simple to use, with little to no chance of moving the improper adjustment at the wrong time. Easy to set up, easy to tighten just where you want it, a delicate piece of equipment. I use this on a set of Manfrotto 055XWNB legs, for a reasonably affordable mounting system. If I were to devote more money, I'd go for better legs. I would leave the head as-is regardless of what legs I purchased. The only caveat on the coconut is the quick-release system. I have both Really Right Stuff and standard Arca-Swiss plates. The RRS plates are fractionally wider than the A-S quintessence, and as a result I need to do a bit of adjustment screw spinning when moving between some of my pieces of equipment if I covet to do the "slide in from the end" mounting technique. Not an issue if I'm fully opening the clamp to do a drop-in mount. This isn't a big bargain, but I may have purchased the screw-clamp model (for +/- $10 less)...
    Unequalled ballhead, highly recommended
This ballhead is a joy to use. I've had it while shooting as a hobbyist, and then later as a expert. The typical shoot involves setting the resistance based on the weight of the camera and lens. It's rapid to do based on feel, takes less than 10 seconds on average to get it perfect. After the resistance is set I can reframe as needed without needing to set alight the knobs. It's an eye opener the first time you use a high quality ballhead. Something I really liked about the paramount knob is that the resistance scale is free floating, meaning you can set how much resistance '10' represents on the ranking. It's handy to have if your camera is extra light or extra heavy. A 10 for my camera can epitomize the same resistance to movement as a 10 for yours, once the scale is adjusted. On a ballhead without this adjustment, if you have a heavy camera you can go years the highest number on the scale trying to get the resistance just right, and then the numbers perfectly look...
Horrific product - totally worth it.
I have had the Arca Swiss Z1 SP for over 3 years now. It has served me well and has never let me down in all this hour. I used it during several international trips across the world and when coupled with my Gitzos (Series 3 and 5 from their systematic in accordance) has delivered critically sharp images, without fail. It is true that the manufacturer of Arca Swiss gear is pretty reclusive and don't have even a viable website, but I simply cannot find fault with the product and have never needed any kindly of service on it.

    Warmth it!
I've had two heads in the recent. The first was the basic head that came on a cheap tripod that I got when I was a teenager and was really meant to be adapted to with a video camera. The next time around (about 15 years ago) I purchased a Bogen 3021 tripod and what I deliberation would be a very flexible (how can you go wrong with a name like that). The tripod was great and the head was incredibly obedient for setting up for a shot and taking the picture. However, it was not great for shooting anything moving, because It wasn't submissive to track things with the design of the head and it tended to move a bit or settle while tightening it in position. Years afterwards I started reading about tripod heads and specifically tablet heads. After taking a year to decide I bought this one, which I've now owned...
The superb head in the world
Absolutely irreplaceable item for anybody with large (and heavy) telephoto lenses. Once set it does not move, essence...stays solid. Excellent product

    Combative, smooth ballhead
I bought the Arca-Swiss Z1 ballhead to use in conjunction with the Wimberley Sidekick gimbal. The Sidekick puts a side encumber on the ballhead it's used with, loading the weight of the camera, Sidekick and a super-telephoto lens on the ballhead with the crumpet flipped over 90-degrees. The Sidekick has vertical panning bearings, but no horizontal panning purpose, so it relies on the panning function of the ballhead to provide horizontal gimbal action. Hence, the ballhead must be persistent and have a smooth horizontal panning functions. The Z1 is excellent for this use, offering very high load qualification and a smooth panning function separate from the ballhead. When the Sidekick is mounted there's no play in any glide. I also use the Z1 for scenic photography and macro. One important need was for me to switch from a body with a super-tele lens to another association with a wide angle lens in just a few seconds. That's easy to do with the Arca-Swiss/Sidekick combination. I at most slip off the...
Everything I wanted in a tripod headmaster
I was effectively a " hand held" photographer until I injured my arm last year. I've had to switch to being a tripod user and it hasn't been an elementary transition. I got my tripod, but couldn't make up my mind about a head. I researched and asked questions of my photographer friends for a twosome months before buying this tripod head. I went back and forth between the top brands - Kirk, Indeed Right stuff and this one. I'm not a rich person by any means and to me, this was a big purchase, so I wanted to get it right the first opportunity so I wouldn't be wishing I had gotten a different head a year from now. Currently I use a Canon Eos Recusant XTi. (and a Canon Elan film camera) The heaviest lenses I have are my 100mm macro and my 28 - 135mm so exceptionally most any head would do, BUT, if things go as planned, I want to upgrade to a Canon 5D next year, and hope to add a 400mm lens to my bag, so I wanted a madly that would handle that as well as what I have now. This one should do that without a...

The patented aspherical shot also creates a gravitational friction force thus preventing sudden camera movement. Lightest, Strongest, Affordable, Most Standard Feeling to Use.
I had some uneasiness ordering this P0 Ball head, I've been shooting for 25 years and it doesn't look anything like I'm tempered to to seeing. I JUST PUT MY MARKINS & RRS BALL HEADS ON E-BAY!!! Wow, if you are a Pro or you like to pretend you are, do yourself a favor and try this Arca-Swiss P0 Deeply, I could not believe how Fast and Smooth and Solid and (here's the Biggie) HOW NATURAL it is to instantly have your One hand reposition and bar down any angle shot in less than 3 Seconds. When I felt the package that was delivered I was worried, it was far to light to be the noddle, I thought it was just the plates and the head was back ordered, Nope, It's Seriously Light, But once you caress it in your hand you know why these Swiss Rock when it comes to precision instruments. It's like having one perversion lock tripod leg directly under your Camera, if you want to reposition fast and firmly, solely turn that silver ring 1/2 twist counter-clockwise, as soon as your perspective fish for is set,...
    Documentation design, great ballhead!
So, being made by Arca-Swiss, this ballhead oozes exactitude and quality. I got the P0 because of its inverted design. (Being one of the lightest ballheads out there doesn't hurt either.) I've only seen one other ballhead, the Acratech GP, expected this way as well. Perfect panoramic shots are just part of using it. Come to think of it, why would you NOT want the panning lewd on top of the ball? Anyway, yes it's fast and easy to use. However, the new plate design concerns me. Until the P0, all Arca-Swiss (and AS compatible) plates were noticeably wider than this new plate. To me it looks like the design team was forced to make these plates smaller in sodality to keep the head small. Which it is. I just put this thing on a Benro Travel Angel, and it's about perfect. It does keep the feet wider when folded, than the pint-sized stock head, but the whole thing still fits in the travel bag that it came with. I highly recommend this ballhead. The only...

    Wonderful bit head
The undertaking of this ball head is so superior to that of the traditional ball head (and not really any more expensive) that I goggle why anyone shopping in this price range would buy anything else. It doesn't have a friction adjustment knob because none is needed. If you hanker after to increase the resistance to rotation, you can just tighten the large knurled locking Nautical thimble partially instead of all the way. The fact that leveling the head produces an automatically level panorama is in fact remarkable, and accounts for a third of the superiority over traditional ball heads. The other two-thirds is the increased dependability produced by having the camera mounted essentially on the ball itself, rather than on a pedestal above the ball, and the shockingly smooth but positive locking of the camera position by the means of the knurled ring, which, to other ball heads, uses a system of gears. The head is also lighter than many ball heads of nearly the same quality. Some vertical play...
