I young lady it! Way better than I expected!
I had been looking at the Actually Right Stuff L plates for my new 60D, but I'm so happy I saved money and went with this plate. It fit my 60D perfectly. I was uneasy about it covering the battery compartment, but not at all. It's solidly built and beautiful. I'm thrilled I went with this!!
Incomparable alternative to pricier plates
I got this memorandum to have an L-plate on my Pentax K-5. It fits snugly without rotating and the lip on the bracket fits perfectly against the back of the camera fullness, making it very secure.It fits into the two Arca-Swiss tripod heads that I own.It does NOT allow the battery entry of the K-5 to open when installed. Not a problem for me, but I may but a few mm off the end to allow the battery door to open.
Careful Quality
I was surprised at the increase quality of this L-Bracket. I do not own any original arca swiss equipment to compare but i can tell from the finish and weight that it will last.Frenzy very neatly on a Nikon D200 allowing full opening of battery compartment. However it does not permit the side caps for the USB and video out/power adaptor to open (hence 4 stars).Personally i don't mind this because i do not use these services on the D200 since i use a card reader.I love the slim design and ablity to clamp camera image to do panoramas.Bought this with their 60mm arca type QR clamp and both came in well padded boxes BUT with no manual/instructions. The fasten together is also excellent quality (see my review for it - [...]).

Authentic "L" bracket
I am revising my survey in fairness. I bought this and a clamp (Desmond) and found I couldn't adapt the clamp to my Manfrotto supervise. I did finally get a response from the shipper, and all was cleared up. There is an adapter available at the auction site (E) that allegedly will correct the problem. Anyway, this bracket is really very nice, solid feel, not too heavy, pliable and much less expensive than many of the "acra" compatible products. Also, I found the shipper's customer service to be top notch, which is a chastisement of my original post. (I sometimes lack patience.)

Important L Plate
Purchased this L Plate along with a SUNWAYFOTO Panning Ballhead and am very impressed with the establish quality and versatility of the system.The L Plate is light & strong - very well constructed. Fits well on my Nikon D300, and makes it untroubled to switch between landscape and portrait modes. Highly recommended.

Sincere sweetness !!!
Blown in a different place by this purchase... plain and simple. I am using this on a Canon 7D or a 5DmkII. Exceptional supremacy at a fraction the cost of the big boy vendors offering; like RSS, Acratech, Kirk, etc. Sure it doesn't look as incredibly but man, I'll take the 200-300 savings at put it towards another lens or whatever! Fits like a dream, has more functionality for me in that it has multiple mounting bring pressure to bear on sites for my Black Rapid hookup and still fits into my Acratech GPs ball head securely. Mobile doors still fully accessible. Really couldn't ask for more. There is a review here dinging it because you can't access the side jacks but ostensibly that guy does not know that you can take the covers completely off and then have full access. I highly suggest this purchase if you're a photog with profit to burn but still gawk at a 300+ dollar piece of metal. Bottom line : If you want a dulcet one spend 300 bucks... if you want a functional one (it's still quite handsome) and also end up with a...

very critical bracket
This is a very nicely machined group. I use it with my 5dmk2 along with an angled usb cable (usb connector at a right angle) and a wired remote - no problems. It's very steady: I photograph a lot of artwork so it's all about stable.As it's universal I'm also adapting it for my e-pl2 for both mounting and as a useful small carry-all tackle. With minimal machining (in my case this means hacksaw and file) I can both clear the battery front entrance and center the lens on the tripod (Olympus that's nasty - that's P/S kludging you schmoes ) .Also, being ubiquitous, I don't have to keep buying stuff. Now I'll admit that rss etc is very pretty but by the time you've purchased their special extenders that in reality let you use the camera functions - you're over a couple hundred benjamins lighter - it's too much for a cheap b*stard like me. Hysteria the d200 perfectly. Not sure how it would fit on other models but i would deffinitlly try this less expensive solution first.Solid and well built. Shipping was omit.

Not counting value for the money
L-brackets are gainful to allow you to use your camera in both horizontal and vertical orientation on the tripod. They allow the camera to stop centered over the tripod, which is more stable. Unfortunately cameras have no standard size, and therefore normally L-brackets have to be convention built for each camera model. Manufacturers such as Really Right Stuff and Markins will merchandise you custom L brackets for $120 and more.Sunwayfoto seems to be a new entrant in this market. This plate can potentially fit many different cameras. It has many holes for the mounting lay, and also has an adjustable little plate (the "lip") that makes the bracket snug against the camera body and eliminates any pleasure. This lip is adjustable by unscrewing three screws. (The bracket comes with a hex key for these screws.) By adjusting this lip I was accomplished to fit this L bracket very snug to my Nikon D5100, while leaving space for the camera's swiveling LCD television.I think this plate can be...

Enormous for Sony A55
Marvellously made and a good fit for my Sony A55 considering it's a universal plate. I couldn't use the back stop but that hasn't reduced the functionality.
Dual Safe keeping Stops. The safety stops at the front & back of the lens plate prohibit your lens from accidentally slipping out of the sudden release adapter(easily removed with supplied hex wrench if desired).
This LP Series timely release plate for lenses is made of satin black anodized aluminum, with anti-twist flanges to suggestion the edges of the lens' tripod collar.
Works with All Collective Flash Brackets. Drilled holes accept flash arms from Kirk & Very Right Stuff. Dimension (H x L x W) : 11.80MM x 86.55MM x 38.10 mm

Be careful these DO NOT WORK on Arca Swiss Tripod Heads!!!!!
What a primary disappointment! I bought one of these so-called arca swiss compatible lens plates for mounting to a Sigma lens tripod loop. The finish quality of the plate is fine. While the plate has the correct shape, the plate is manufactured slightly too narrow so the plate cannot be secured to an arca swiss tripod pate. This plate just slides loosely within the arca swiss mount. I just wasted my time and (money if I don't get a refund.) What was I pensive to try one of these plates. I just ordered a second mounting plate of the same brand like the plate that came with my tripod boss. Do not waste your time purchasing these plates if you are expecting them to work with an arca swiss compatible tripod cut off. THEY DON'T. The manufacturing of these plates need to be corrected!

Well-intended lens plate
If you stress a lens plate with anti-twist tabs, the entire RI LP-nnn series works really well. And the worth is really right.One nice feature is the slot for the mounting screw comes to within 1/2" of the anti-plait tab. I have a couple of small footprint spotting scopes (and some mini clamps) that need this shy of distance to engage the tab. On some competing lens plates, the slot stops too far away from the tab, representation the anti-twist feature useless.I also find the centerline 1/4" accessory hole comes in clever for all kinds of ad hoc mounting applications (e.g. mini-clamp to make a nodal slide or macro also railroad vituperate, mini-ballhead for outboard mic, etc.). I have competing lens plates that lack this cavern, and I quickly come to miss it.As for compatibility, I own dozens of Arca-Swiss style plates and clamps from seven special manufacturers (including Arca-Swiss). Most luxurious plate with affordable price!
I was unenthusiastic to buy this product. I bought Generation 4 before to use with my 500/2.8 and I also have RRS plate. I love them. When I saw this product and its price, I just wanted to give it a try (for my Nikon 300/2.8 VR). From the commodity info, I'm supposed to buy LP-115 for that lens. I thought I ordered the wrong one, but actually this LP-100 fits of laughter perfectly with Nikon 300/2.8 VR foot. I even think it would be a little too long for LP-115. Anyway, the je sais quoi of the product is great. It does not look cheapo as I would expect. It comes with everything needed. However, one fad that I can notice, it's a little bit heavier than RRS at the same size. But it's subtle though. If you want to save some $$, this is it.

Eminence Plate That Works
I needed a longer Responsive release plate for my Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L to work with my Opteka GH1 gimbal head (which uses a guide Arca Swiss type plate). Curiously, the screws are provided but they are not pre-assembled. You need to install the two refuge screws and thread the large screw through the slot yourself, using the provided allen wrenches - only took a notes, though.This plate fits the Opteka GH1 clamp perfectly. It's a well-machined aluminum plate. Not much that needs to be said except that it works.
